Well. What can I say? We’ve had some really good pizzas here, and some really bad ones. Unfortunately, today ours wasn’t good. We ordered a medium pizza with double mushrooms and prosciutto. I even asked to please pile the mushrooms on, because we LOVE extra mushrooms on our pizza. What we got delivered was a very rushed looking and tasting pizza – tough and chewy crust, and NO extra mushrooms!!! Noooo!!! They were heavy handed with the prosciutto though, but unfortunately its not good prosciutto, it was thick and rubbery and the salty sweetness clashed with the pizza, which was weird. Not the best. Not the worst. But disappointing nonetheless. It will be a while before we get davincis again.

Our family has been here several times. Our pizza has always been great. And we’ve tried several different ones on the menu. We’ve always had no trouble getting a table. This may be the only part that puzzles me; the ease of getting a table as its rarely crowded. The parking is easy and right out front.(Not always the case for Decatur). The food is great. The service is good. Where’s the crowd? Anyway, our whole family enjoys it and it’s become almost a «weekly» for us.

We are HUGE pizza fans and were extremely disappointed to see Mellow Mushroom leave Decatur. Both my husband and I independently agreed that Davinci’s is of the same quality as gas station pizza. The crust is not light and fluffy and the sauce is terrible! Skip Davinci’s and drive to Fellini’s a few minutes away for real pizza.

Review about chicken wings only. I order the chicken wing lunch deal when I stopped in on my break. I asked the lady at the counter about the flavors. She recommended the Honey Mustard wings. I decided to try them. I sat down and waited for my food. Short wait and came out hot and fast. It seemed to be at the price of the flavor though. The wings were not flavored at all, just coated in a tasteless sauce. They were over a bit over cooked and dry as a result. I was only able to eat two out of five of the wings. I did enjoy the fries that I had gotten as a side. It is not a meal I would not recommend going here for their wings. I’ve had Davinci’s Pizza from another location and can say they have some interesting flavors and options for creations. The price can be a little much sometimes for what you are actually getting.

Ordered pizza online for pickup(I just got a cheese pizza). It smelled so delicious, I had a hard time not breaking into it on my drive home. The pizza turned out to be really good. The guy who helped me at the counter was very friendly. I am excited that we now have another pizza option that will deliver to my house. Welcome to the neighborhood. Keep up the good work!

This restaurant use to be really good when they first opened(see pictures of food). Now, they skimp on toppings, and it takes forever for someone to bring my CALLAHEAD order from the back. Today was the final straw. I could literally count the toppings on my pizza. It looked like they made a cheese pizza then said, oh wait, there’s supposed to be other stuff on here.. . Absolutely Terrible!

I went with a friend and we tried the lunch special(an 8 inch pizza) that comes with a drink. It was absolutely delicious! The lunch special comes with two toppings of your choice. We also got the breaded mozzarella sticks and let me just say, they were little pieces of heaven.

I have DaVinci’s delivery all the time because everything is always great and service is top notch(especially Miranda). The delivery drivers are very friendly and the food is always hot… except when I get something that isn’t supposed to be hot… I guess I should say the food is always the appropriate temperature.

Quick life advice: Order the Greek salad with spinach and the Bella Noche pizza. Devour your salad, it’s delicious! After said salad has been consumed, toss all the leftover bits or cheese, dressing, and onion on top of your pizza! I have lived near three of their locations now, not once have I been disappointed! I have no picture to post, I got excited and ate it all.

I usually use their delivery. Works pretty well most of the time. Any time I’ve had a problem, their staff is very good about remedying it. Everything I’ve ordered has been awesome.

This review is for the sole purpose of making DaVinci’s a better place. I want them to be successful. Like others, I am also of the opinion that the prices are a bit high and the sauce a bit sweet… but that’s only an opinion. Here are the facts… The large salad is not large at all. Salads also should be cold, not warm. A Greek Salad has Kalamata Olives, not sliced California Black Olives. A Greek Salad is not served with an emulsified Balsamic Vinaigrette… it comes with a tart, red wine vinaigrette. I could barely detect any Feta Cheese. Also, no tomatoes. The cucumbers were overly ripe and mushy. If this is your recipe, I can’t really do anything about it. But, I encourage you to stop calling it a Greek Salad… because it isn’t.

Great pizza and salads! My family and I were admittedly skeptical about Davinci’s replacing the previous Mellow Mushroom that had been in this location for years. We finally mustered up the courage to go on a early Friday evening. The pizza was great. The crust wasn’t too thin or thick. The toppings for both our vegetation & meat pizza were generous. We ordered a large Greek salad and it was also very fresh. Out nit picks were small. The blue cheese dressing was great, but their balsamic vinaigrette was more dressing than anything that could be called a vinaigrette; it was thicker than the blue cheese dressing. That said my wife still enjoyed it. Also they have four pizza sizes, which is a big plus. It’s worth noting that each and every person who interacted with us was friendly and outgoing.

So far I’ve only gotten delivery from here. We ordered the Thai pizza and it was AMAZING! The only downside is that it’s kinda pricy. Still, I can’t wait to actually go check this place out in person!

I can’t lie, I’ve passed this palace a few times, but the reviews kept me away!!! However, a cool patio is what I needed today and that they have… The staff were really friendly upon entering and allowed me to finish my call on the patio while reviewing the menu… They have so many unique pizza options!!! I tried the steak pizza and the seafood pizza… Both were delicious!!! The pizza alone is 4 – 5 stars… The steak was my personal favorite! They have a good selection of beers, even a local selection… I’m not sure why this place isn’t packed… Quietly tucked away in downtown Decatur with free parking & great pizza!!!

Soo I wanted to try a new restaurant in the area & had a taste for pizza. I remember seeing a flyer for this place so I decided to give my patronage… I should’ve just not done that. This was my first &LAST time going there. Upon walking in, no one greeted me. There was no one at the front counter. I scanned the room & saw a «waitress». After almost 3 minutes, she came over and stood there looking at the register. She didn’t speak. There was no, I’ll be right with you! Nothing. After I stared at her, she smiled and asked if I was ready to order. ?? I should have known from that moment to walk me & my ballet flats on out the door. I was hungry so I ordered the 8″ lunch special. Figured that shouldn’t take long. Welp! I order my pizza(personal pan size) & sat at the table at 12:17. By 12:32, nothing. No pizza, no one comes to the table. I see the guy that came in after me who ordered the same size to go pizza with his box INHAND walking out. 12:34 I go up to the register where the«waitress» is & ask where is my food? She decides to go check &30 seconds later, voila! Pizza. Were they holding my pizza hostage? There is no good reason it should have taken that long. Had I not asked, who knows how long I’d be sitting there! The pizza was good but that whole experience ruined it. I’ll keep my money & take it elsewhere. Customer service is everything! #Fail

Since they’ve opened, I have probably eaten here an average of twice a week for lunch. In addition to the good pizza, one of the great things was the quick service by ordering at the counter. Now they have changed to table service and it is now slower and less efficient than before. No longer the good, quick lunch option it used to be.

Had Davinci’s for delivery. We had the Hummus Amongus. The menu says unusual, that’s a bit of an understatement. It was ok at first, but the more I ate, the more angry I became at hummus on a pizza. Possibly it’s my closemindedness, but the hummus did not work as a base. Hummus is assertive, with a taste and texture that really require a careful pairing. That said, I did very much enjoy the pizza. The toppings worked well together, but a tomato or pesto sauce would have really made the pie spectacular. The menus says the pizza includes diced jalapeño. I’m not sure ours had the them. The crust was very nice, crispy outside, chewy inside. Davinci’s get’s extra points for delivering the food hot. Like, we got french fries. FRENCHFRIES, and they were still hot and not soggy when they arrived. I will have no problem, and indeed I look forward to ordering again from Davinci’s.

So our visit didn’t start out so well… Maybe it’s just me, but if a customer asks regarding a high chair for a toddler, and if there is absolutely no other customers around in your restaurant… it’d be nice if you or one of your employees would help us get it, since our hands are full already. Savannah Brown Ale– after asking about three different beers(and the manager having to look it up online to tell me what kind of beer one of them was…), I decided to choose one I’ve never had. This was quite dark for a brown ale, and it was tasty. For 4 bucks/pint, it’s definitely a winner. Note to manager… If you’re trying to do restaurant business in downtown Decatur… YOUSHOULDKNOWYOURBEERLIST backwards and forwards, especially if the list isn’t that big(maybe 8 beers on tap). Italian meat pizza– We were pleasantly surprised by the crispy crust and the tasty crispy pancetta on this pizza. The ends of the crusts were a bit thicker than our liking, but otherwise this definitely exceeded our expectations(which albeit had been lowered due to above experience with beer/high chair, etc.). $ 25 for a 16″ pizza however is rather steep… Spaghetti and Meatballs– The meatballs probably had a good amount of parmesan cheese in them… the noodles had a different texture– not your typical boxed pasta texture. Almost tasted like they came out of a home pasta maker– for better or worse. I liked it I guess. For $ 10 bucks, it’s reasonable. I don’t meant to be a snob, but I think it’s just true that individually owned restaurants always have a vibe or verve to it that is not often(or easily) replicated by chains, even small ones like Da Vinci’s(which has 4 stores in metro Atlanta). The food is decent, and surprisingly better than expected, but in Downtown Decatur, you need to up your game to keep running the show.

We decided to give DaVinci’s a try, as they just replaced Mellow Mushroom in Decatur. The place is completely remodeled, and has a very clean look as compared to the old MM. The covered patio is still outstanding when the weather is agreeable. We tried the Jersey Devil Pizza, on the recommendation of the server. No complaints: it was very good. The crust was about right, not too thick. The slices were easy to eat by hand. The medium we ordered will easily feed two(if they are not linebackers). We also had a Greek salad, which was a little disappointing in that I thought they scrimped somewhat on the olives, etc. Nice selection of beer, most of which I did not recognize.
