Endodontics of Atlanta

After experiencing tooth pain for months, I received a referral for a root canal at Endodontics of Atlanta. Like other reviewers, I have nothing but great things to say about the level of warmth and professionalism shown by the staff. Everything administrative was explained thoroughly and as far in advance as possible, and the electronic appointment reminders were a nice bonus.
Because I’d had pain in my tooth for so long, as well as a few extremely unpleasant dental appointments with a previous dentist, to say I was nervous would be an understatement. At my first appointment Dr Waters put me at ease, making sure I was totally numb and fully aware of the steps he planned to take that day before he so much as removed the crown. He wasn’t condescending and didn’t act annoyed at my nervousness – just assured me that he would do whatever possible to avoid causing me pain. He succeeded, and I had no pain at all during either procedure (my tooth required two visits).
I am now happily chewing – without pain! – on the right side of my mouth for the first time in over six months! While I really hope I don’t need another root canal anytime soon, if I ever do, I will ask to be referred to Dr Waters again.

I was referred to Dr. Waters for a root canal for a very sensitive tooth. I knew what to expect ‘technically’ as I’ve had one before, so I was not too apprehensive.
I was VERY Pleased at the level of Professionalism, Thoughtfulness and Friendliness exhibited by Dr. Waters and staff. They ‘checked in’ frequently to ensure you are comfortable before proceeding and explained what is and about to being done. Can I also say… no pain after?!!

So, I needed a root canal. And I was terrified. I had just moved to Atlanta and saw a dentist, who claimed I needed a lot of work done. She was new, inexperienced, I should have known better and gotten a second opinion right away. After she did some fillings, I started having tooth pain in the tooth she said needed a root canal. When I went home for Christmas I went to my family dentist who said «well, I’m not sure what it looked like before, but the way she did the filling, you do need a root canal».
I tried calling several places around Atlanta. Endodontics of Atlanta was the only location that picked up, had a great attitude over the phone, and knew how to quickly take my information and schedule the appointment. Without even being prompted, they sent me an estimate for the work after quickly checking with my insurance. Awesome. Usually I have to really call and remind dentists to check on what I will owe, because I do not like to overpay and then get reimbursed after they process it.
The appointment: I showed up a little early, was called back in time, was greeted by everyone in the office very warmly. Dr. Waters took a few X-​rays, heard me out on my concerns and then informed me of why a root canal is needed and what it will feel like, how much time it will take. He was extremely knowledgeable. I was numbed up and did not feel a thing during the procedure. He was very quick and since the procedure, I have had no pain. They are also working with my new dentist (not the one I had went to first in Atlanta) for the buildup and crown I need on the tooth.
The best part. I paid that day what the estimate was. It was processed by insurance to be exactly what I paid that day. No surprises.
Dr. Waters is knowledgeable, warm, fast, and good at root canals. His office is warm and knows how to handle estimates BEFORE you get to the office, so there are no surprises. For a root canal, I am surprised I have such positive feelings of the experience, but it was truly no pain at all.

Look, no one wants to have tooth pain or be told that you need to have a root canal. Even worse, to have tooth pain on a tooth that previously had a root canal – shouldn’t that be impossible?
I was referred to Dr. Waters and he was kind and explained everything that had gone wrong with a previously treated tooth (he had not done the previous treatment) and how he could work to fix it. His office moved another gentleman’s appointment to accommodate me since I was in so much pain, and he numbed me while I waited so that I didn’t have to suffer.
After treatment, I was still in excessive pain, and Dr. Waters was available to talk me through the weekend through an emergency number. I ended up calling him twice to make sure that I could combine medications and to make sure that what I was experiencing was normal. His office called to follow up with me after each appointment and everyone I spoke with was kind and courteous.
I don’t ever want to go through this situation again, but I am comforted to know that Dr. Waters and his team are there if I need them.

I have had two root canals performed by Dr. Waters and could not be more pleased with the results. I have found the office staff to ALWAYS be especially kind and accommodating and Dr. Waters has been meticulous and precise with my care and aftercare. I could not have asked for better service on all accounts.
