Overall: Probably the best bike shop in GA. These guys pretty much know how to fix any bike professionally including many italian and german bikes. Their prices are a bit high, but well worth what they provide. Wait time for your repair can also be a bit longer as many many people bring their bikes in here to fix.
Price: 30 mins = $ 40 which is a typical diagnostic/​labor price. I brought my bike in for overheating and they were able to find the issue quickly and fix it. Unfortunately, I just wished that they told me prior to spending 2 hours to find the problem for me to make the call as they usually call you if they need more than 30 mins.
Service: These guys and friendly and professional. They really know their shit and will not take a bike if they are unfamiliar with it. Once they DO start it they typically fix it in 48 hours. You just need to wait through the «line» first which can take 5 days.
Atmosphere: A lot of nice bikes are in here EG MV’s, ducati’s and rare harley’s. Depending on the time this place can be very crowded with bikes, otherwise its a professional shop.

This place is AWESOME! Their sales floor will make any motorcyclist want to switch their style to café racers. Staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Best part is that their services are very decently priced and they get ‘er done QUICK. I’d absolutely trust them with my bike again.

This is the kind of place that will make you ride a motorcycle just to get the great service they provide.
My bike died on me and I had it towed to MSP because they were close. What an AWESOME job. Not only were the repairs made quickly, properly and affordably they gave me a heads up on a couple things they noticed which I may want to address before the next riding season.
I will be back. This is now MY GOTO shop!

MSP is, hands down, the best motorcycle shop in Atlanta. I’ve taken a dozen bikes in to them over the years, and they’ve given me great service on everything from vintage bikes to cruisers to modern sportbikes. Here’s a small sample of bikes they have helped me with:
1978 Honda CB750 — diagnose and fix electrical gremlins
1996 Honda Magna 750 — fixed overheating problem
1984 Yamaha RZ350 — ultrasonic carb clean, brake fluid and coolant flush
1965 Honda Super 90 — they got this guy running in about a week. I’d been struggling along for almost 6 months.
2004 Honda 599 — replace reg/​rec
2007 Yamaha XT225 — rebuild front forks
I’m pretty sure there is nothing they can’t do. The service has always been excellent, their turnaround is fast, and their prices are more than fair. I’ve never had a problem, and, moreover, I know that if anything did come up, Freddie, the owner, is the kind of person that would bend over backwards to help a fellow rider. Since I’ve discovered MSP, I don’t take my bikes anywhere else.

I’ve several good experiences with MSP over the years, but recently I took my bike in and they were unable to fix it, insisting that it was running right when I picked it up (which everyone else that looked at it could tell as soon as the bike started just by the sound). I didn’t bother to take it back in since if they thought it was fixed they were not going to be able to do any better.
They are good guys and I would still recommend them for basic services.

I am sorry for this review. I had been taking my V Star there for 5 years. At the 12K service they «synced my carbs and adjusted my valves». 2500+ miles later I thought I had gotten bad gas so I took it back in and when I asked them to drain the tank, drain the carbs and replace the fuel filter I was told that I was «diagnosing my bike in his shop, it was still not running properly» and they had «put it outside, had moved on to other bikes and would work on it again in two days». I went and picked up the bike, paid them for the work done and took it to a dealer. The dealer stated it had only been running on one carb and re-​synced them. The dealer had to replace the rubber block-​off tube at the top of the carbs where the vacuum gauge plugs in as it had been torn (1^st part of vacuum leak); the dealer noted that the hose running side to side below the air box had been misrouted, that two others had not been re-​connected (more vacuum leak) and that there were cracks running all the way through the intake boots at the base of both carbs (which should have been replaced at the 12k service– More vacuum leak).
I told the dealer that the valve tappet cover was spitting oil onto my side cover. The dealer noted that two of the bolts were stripped and that the o-​ring had not been replaced during the aforementioned 12K service.
After they had finished the 12K service I asked this shop to balance my front tire and was told that «tire balance doesn’t come in to play until you hit 90 miles on hour.» The dealer noted that it was out of balance and had numerous loose spokes.

I was lucky to have a fellow Ducati rider recommend this shop to me when I got my first Monster. This recommendation has proven to be priceless because over the last few years coming to MSP has saved me money, time, and frustration compared to what my experiences have been with the dealerships around here.
They have taken great care of my daily commuting 40k+mile Ducati Monster since its first maintenance, as well as doing a superb job of race preparation and suspension services on my Triumph 675.
At this point I trust the guys at MSP to the point that I would rather pay to have them perform warranty work than trust any of the local dealers. They will have it done faster and will have been more meticulous covered than at any dealership.

Really cool guys to shoot the breeze with. I’ve only been in once but they are friendly and will talk shop, which is nice for someone who does light work on his own bike.
Had them do tires and a tune-​up; they got the work done in a timely manner and it was, from what I have heard people say about other people’s prices, very cheap.
I also have a pretty rare Italian bike and the Euro bike guy was pretty familiar with it and they even kept some of the more common parts in stock (not something that can be said about the dealer).
Screw going all the way up to the dealer. These guys are specialists, are fairly priced, convenient and a lot more friendly than the dealer.

Really like this repair shop. Came here a couple years ago to get tires put on my bike. They did it while I waited. Came here today to get an oil change. Again, they did it while I waited. Very good prices on both procedures. Will come back to get some other work done early next year. Also, very glad that it is intown and close to my house and job.

MSP Cycle fixed the electric problems I was having with my ’07 Kawasaki Vulcan. They did the annual maintenance, fluids and filters and a new back tire. I got my bike back in days instead of weeks, way cheaper than with the other repair shops I’ve tried inside the perimeter and they kept calling me to keep me up to date on all details. I’ll definitely keep bringing my bikes here.

I used to take my bikes to RRR in Clarkston, then they closed. That is about the time MSP opened up and let me say that it was a relief to find a shop that was honest, knowledgable and gave a damn about customer service. These guys are fantastic and I never feel as though I should question their suggestions.

This is a great local motorcycle service shop. I bring my Suzuki here whenever I need work done that I can’t do myself. They also have good prices on Michelin tires and their mounting/​balancing fees are very reasonable.
In fact, I’d MUCH rather bring my bike to the guys at MSP than any of the local dealers. They’re friendly, fast and their rates are good. What more could you ask for?
I do know they work on all Japanese makes. And I’ve definitely seen Triumphs and Ducatis awaiting service when I’ve been in there. I don’t know if they handle BMWs or HDs. Might want to call first if you own one of those brands.
And while they definitely specialize in prepping race bikes, I bring my streetbike to them (an 03 SV1000) and would trust them to do absolutely any repair or upgrade.
This is what every motorcycle shop should be!

And a first for my first review: o) As a motorcycle rider, I owe them this review since I am a regular customer at their shops after being introduced to their business two years ago by a fellow rider.
MSP Cycle, in a few words is «how to prep your sportbike at a competitive cost from professionals who know damn well their business!»
I can’t give them anything else than 5 stars for the following pros:
— Competitive prices on anything
— They can get you anything in an amazing lead time
— They know everything that can be known on sportbike preparation and maintenance, any model, any year
— They are super friendly and pay attention to customers
— Their work is top quality and completed in a very reasonable time frame
— They are always available for suggestions or recommendations on your bike, and excuse the phrasing, but they don’t bulshit you! That is a big plus to me!
Cons:
— I have yet to find any, very honestly. If anybody out there has any complaints against them, I’m all ears: o)
What is remarkable with MSP is how passionate they are about motorcycles. The shop doesn’t look much, is kind of hard to find the first time because it is quite small and hidden in the back of a small-​ish parking lot, away from the road. Now when you enter, that is another story: first things are their couple prep-​ed bike for racing (Sweet bikes, I’m telling you), parts here and there that are at very reasonable price, and a very friendly welcome. Right from the start, you feel you enter a family business and that you’re part of the family before you know it. It all goes down to riding.
My first impression was a very good one that has been the same each time I bring my motorcycle. You know when someone is serious about his business when the first thing he does is going around your bike, checking a few outstanding stuffs here and there, and starting examining the bike with what you’ve described. They don’t check their calendar to see which month they’re available, they don’t start flashing dollars sign in their eyes to see how much they’ll take from you. Nope Sir & Ma’am: they check your bike like they want to jump on the job right away (even though they can be really swamped with work sometimes!!) and then they start discussing solutions from cheapest to reasonable price with pros and cons. That’s what I like with them, whenever I go, I will go through the same learning curve experience and take out some knowledge on top of what I came for: o) Pretty awesome to me!
To convince the few skeptical out there, here’s what I’ve done so far in several stages:
— Changed my exhaust line to a carbon Yoshimura for a ridiculous price (50% off because it was an end series or something …) My bike is purring on the road now; never had a problem with the line in almost two years
— Changed my transmission chain to a sports one, pretty enduring material (I have a bad habit to go everywhere with my bike, some roads pretty demanding on it). I went to their best one, and even this one was a reasonable price IMHO (Few bucks cheaper than any other prepping store I’ve had the occasion to visit)
— Changed my battery quite a few times at various motorcycle stores, MSP fixed the root cause of the problem: wiring; and I did not have any trouble starting my bike this winter.
— Changed gears and clutches to carbon clutches, half the price than what I had to pay at WOW Motorcycle a few years back … O_​o (Hate WOW by the way: zero customer service at their garage: they might have the biggest selection of second hand motorcycles and apparel around here, but that service is horrendous … I’ll get them a review later on –_​– Not worth it)
— Changed my tires at WOW, had pressure issues on the rear tire all the time, losing almost 8 PSI a week … MSP fixed the issue in a gifi, tire was leaking air all over the rim due to poor choice of glue … What did I say? Oh yeah, hate WOW
— Changed a few other minor parts, everytime with a competitive price, and a ridiculous lead time.
Well, what can I say? I love MSP! To me they’re family, and it’s always a pleasure to stop by their shop.
By the way, do you know what MSP stands for? «My S… P…» ;o) Go ask them for the rest of the story, it’s a fun one ;o)
