They’ve worked on my car twice and each time was very professional and less expensive than the dealership. The customer service is very relaxed however they are sweet, southern men. I will always bring my car here for good service and knowledgeable mechanics.

So glad I found this group… I have been so frustrated with the local BMW Dealer’s service team… they told me my 2010 X5 needed a new muffler ($$$$$$) when I took it for an annoying rattle. I said «no thank you» and just dealt with the rattle until I needed new brake pads and thought I would try Munich West based on good online reviews. Hooray! I didn’t need a muffler, I just needed A BOLT TIGHTENED. Seriously. I am a huge fan of honest auto mechanics and Munich West is that! Thank you!

If you love your vehicle do not take it to Munich West. I gave these guys more than 10 chances. Many different jobs were «performed» on my BMW wagon. Nearly every single job was done very poorly and or they broke something else in the process. Attention to detail is nonexistent. On one occasion I picked my vehicle up and smelled gas/​fuel. Upon lifting the hood, I found my fuel line had been tampered with. It was steadily dripping onto the engine block! The job they performed did not call for fuel line removal in any way. I am the only one that works on my wagon now. I am still finding half rate work and broken things here and there that are left overs/​reminders of how little they care. Don’t even get me started on the super smug attitudes that you’ll find at the counter and in the shop. These are real issues that I hope you’ll avoid. If you love your car… please take it to Quantum Mechanics. Those are the real pros. For the same cost or less.

After disappointingly finding some mechanical issues wrong with my recently purchased X5, Steve and crew stepped in to make things right. Repairs were quite lengthy and may have taken a bit longer than the typical dealership, but I fee that the work was done properly and correctly. The prices were also reasonable considering the typical cost of a major repair on a German auto. I’d recommend to anyone with a German import needing service. I’ll be back for my regular service.

Munich west was so helpful and friendly. I had a coin stuck in my car lighter. They fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. I’m new to the Atlanta but I plan on coming back here for any future car problems and I would recommend Munich West to others too. :)

I just timed out on my service agreement with dealer. Shopped around and I love these folk.

I think Munich West is great. They’re thorough and explain the problem clearly, and give customer options. It takes a while for them to get in VW parts sometimes, but that’s beyond their control. I have brought my VW Passat there multiple times and am always satisfied with the competitive pricing and quality of repairs.

It is tough to find a good shop in Atlanta, so I am glad I found this place. There is a reason Munich West has been doing business for 35 years and it was evident as soon as I got there. Great customer service… Issues were diagnosed quickly and they let you know various options and pricing right away. Will be back next time I need service.

These guys are great. They to all the gas out of our diesel and it cost less than they told us originally. They’re my guys for fixing our mini too. Reliable and honest.

Always extremely conscientious and frugal, knowledgeable and pleasant. I trust this place completely; they’ll never steer you wrong.

I went to the Hank Aaron BMW dealership for a basic service. They told me that my radiator was cracked and I needed a new on which was going to be $ 2500, so I wanted a second opinion.
I found Munichwest on Google and set up an appointment. They took a look and ran some tests, and guess what… No cracked radiator just a loose seal. This cost me like $ 300 and a huge relief. I will only be taking my X5 to Mike and the guys at Munich West from now on. Thanks fellas!

The best in the south!!! I am a huge «car» guy and believe that finding the right service for my car is just as important as finding a good doctor. I was a bit worried having anybody in Georgia tough my vehicle, considering that my other mechanic way up north (about 1000 miles away) and has received nothing but perfect reviews, that’s right perfect and is so honest, intelligent and friendly… After reading over and over again online and researching who I should take my car to for service, the only one that came back in my mind was Munich West… I have seen the name on some of the forums for auto enthusiasts and just decided to bring my car there. I expected nothing less than perfection and Munich West delivered. They were professional, kind, honest and intelligent. I had brought to them a vehicle already knowing what needed to be done because my other mechanic up north explained to me the costs and procedures. They had countless opportunities to charge me way more than necessary and they didn’t. I was also surprised that they just didn’t look at the only problem that i wrote down for them but they caught and repaired some other things too… They charged a very reasonable rate for the work that was performed… Considering the diagnosis, repair time and they back their work with a 12 month warranty… Living in tight spaces in Atlanta I no longer have the tools, time and space to work on my car and Munich West’s garage will be only service center for as long as I am living down here. I finally feel lucky to live in Atlanta…

I’m the daughter of a mechanic who specialized in German cars. While he never taught me how to fix my car (shaking fist, god rest his soul), he did teach me enough to usually identify what’s going wrong with it and how to sniff out a shady mechanic.
i’ve been going to Munich West for years for my Volvo 850 wagon on the recommendation of my friend who used to own a Volvo 240. They are always honest, and like my dad, they will zero in on exactly what’s wrong and get you on your way for a reasonable price. When one mechanic tried to convince me I needed a new transmission, Steve and the guys zeroed in on me only needing a replacement PNP switch. $ 150 versus $ 3500 for a new transmission. Works like a dream.
Every time I’ve had it in for something, never have I experienced a return because it’s still not working right, a common complaint i see with other mechanics (and have experienced in the past). They get it right the first time.
An honest mechanic is a beautiful thing and I know my dad would be thrilled that I found these guys to take care of my car repair needs.

They do ok work on cars.
Take two days at least to work on each car with appointment.
They overcharge a lot for car parts. Labor charge is fair.
Owners aren’t really friendly.

I went very far out of my way to take my car to Munich West based on the recommendation of a friend. I received poor/​rude treatment. I am so disappointed.
Three strikes and you’re out Munich West:
1. They charged me $ 56 to run a scan on my Volvo for a check engine light. Hmmm… let’s see… Crank car, plug in, read output, collect $ 56. Does that seem fair to you? If so, I have a time share in the Bahamas I would like to talk to you about.
2. When trying to figure out a way to return to Munich West to get my $ 56 worth by getting them to actually run a THOROUGH scan on my car, they were not willing to work with me AT ALL. They wouldn’t allow me to bring the car in and wait, they would only allow me to bring the car in at 8am and rent a car, and they aren’t open on weekends… so now I need to take time off from work. Sounds to me like my total is now $ 56 + $ 46 (rental) + 2 hours off from work to make sure I don’t have to rent the car for an extra day.
3. STRIKE 3. When trying to figure out a way to not have to spend OVER $ 100 just to find out what is wrong with my car, I called Munich West. Talk about customer service!!! The fellow in charge remembered me and YELLED at me that they only do oil changes and computer read outs past 1pm. Hm. Somebody had a case of the Wednesdays.
Result: I refused to give Munich West my money, and immediately called Braxton Automotive on Howell Mill. They took me in, worked with my schedule, and WON’T be charging me for the auto scan. Customer Service: What a concept.
