History

Established in 2002.

When Dr. Gibbs and Dr. Harrison began their business, they made it their priority to continue the quality that North Decatur Health Care has been synonymous with for the past twenty years. The duo specializes in treating sports injuries, personal injuries, lower back pain and neck pain. With both coming from a background in sports medicine, together their experience is invaluable.

Business Owner

Dr. John T. Harrison II is a native of Morgan City, LA. He moved to Atlanta in 1996 to attend Chiropractic College and fell in love with the Metro Atlanta area, so he made it his home. Dr. Harrison is a National Board-​Certified Chiropractor. He graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in Biology/​Pre-​Med. In 2000, Dr. Harrison graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University School of Chiropractic.

Dr. Harrison has been practicing for over 10 years and has owned and operated private practices in Roswell and Decatur. Licensed in the State of Georgia to practice Chiropractic and physiotherapy and also has a Georgia State Radiology permit. He has extensive postgraduate training in Radiology and exercise rehabilitation of acute and chronic conditions related to injuries. Dr. Harrison is trained to handle automobile accidents, work related injuries and slip and falls.

I’ve been going to N. Decatur Healthcare for several years for massage therapy. I can’t say enough about my Therapist Tiffany. She takes a wholistic approach to my care and is always willing to address my questions and concerns. The Team there always greets me with a smile (even when I’m runnig late) :-). I have several options for therapy in my area but can’t imagine anyone taking care of me like Tiffany does, I will continue to make the drive to Lawrenceville Hwy!

Excellent chiropractic care! The staff does an amazing job with deep tissue massage. Dr. Gibbs is knowledgeable about getting to the source of your tension and pain to provide you with long lasting relief. If you want something to only soothe you for 30 minutes to an hour you can go to a spa. However, if you want soothing relaxation AND some long term relief from tension and pain this is where you need to go.

I have been coming here for nearly 20 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from the treatment both Dr Gibbs and Dr Harrison have given. They are very knowledgeable and have done an excellent job at «tuning me up» and fixing any issues I may get from playing soccer and cross training. The supporting staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.

I have had severe neck, back and left arm pain for over 25 years. I never really believed in Chiropractic care until I met Dr. Gibbs. She has changed my life! The staff is wonderful and the practice is equipped with tools like Aqua beds and deep tissue massages. Dr. Gibbs is a wonderful, caring doctor.

The best chiropractors our family has ever been to! Drs. Gibbs and Harrison take time to truly listen and get to the root of the problem. They are excellent with children, as well as with adults. So many chiropractors push patients to purchase supplemental items or come back for multiple visits over a long period of time, but Drs. Gibbs and Harrison never try to «sell» unnecessary visits or products. Our family trusts them completely, and we are so thankful for the help they have given us over the past several years.

After trying several chiropractors for my back aches a friend recommend Dr. Gibbs. Going to her office was absolutely stress free. The staff was friendly and the office was clean. I only waited about –5 minutes. Dr. Gibbs was really knowledgable and friendly. She adjusted my back thoroughly and gave me some exercises to do at home. I feel so much better!

Dr. Gretchen Gibbs is wonderful. I recently hurt my back and she has been thorough with adjusting me. She takes her time even if it means taking 30 mins, which on occasion she has had to in order to fix the problem.
When I needed a cortisone shot she referred me to the necessary specialist who as well was very pleasant to deal with. She’s the kind of Doctor we all long for, someone who takes sufficient time with her patients as well as solving the problem without having you come back unnecessarily just so that you spend money.
All other chiropractors I have dealt with in the past have always scheduled me to come in 3 times a week not here. She leaves your appointments open for you to decide.
If your looking for a gentle hand and someone who loves what they do then this is the place to go.
