I had the 6pc shrimp and fries. The shrimp were good, but they are so small. Not worth the price. The hush puppies are awesome, especially when you get them fresh and hot. The cole slaw was weird, it tasted too much of sweet pickle relish. I could only do one bite of that. The employees were friendly so that’s always a plus. Oh yeah they are located in the hood, so if you don’t mind that eat in and watch the shenanigans unfold outside. lol

My girlfriend and I had been dying to get out to this place for weeks! We purchased a groupon for $ 26.34 worth of food for only $ 13! ‘What a deal!’ we thought. Turns out, the deal was for the restaurant, not the customer! When we got to the counter and presented our groupon, we were told we could each get a crab leg dinner with two sides and a drink or a shrimp dinner with two sides and a drink. Perfect, just what the groupon said! I ordered the steamed shrimp dinner, my girlfriend had the fried. We both picked our two drinks, two lemonades, and mused over the menu looking for dessert options. Before we asked about the bean pies, the cashier said ‘that’ll be $ 1.75 for the tax.’ Huh? Ummm, ok… we thought. We took another gander at the menu, and saw that the regular price of the meal we ordered should be no more than $ 10 each with the drink. So $ 20 for the both of us. Even after tax, we should have at least $ 2 remaining. No matter, we said. We paid and ordered 2 slices of bean pie. Our bill was $ 4.75. After sitting and pulling up our groupon details, we wondered why the menu says $ 9.99/dinner but we were charged more. My girlfriend went to speak with a manager, who sadly informed us that the owners instruct the staff to charge $ 25 for two dinners to customers who have a groupon deal, $ 5 more than menu price!!! What kind of business ethic is that??? If we weren’t livid about that, when we asked about our side dish options, we were told that it comes with fries and coleslaw, no substitutions. And if that wasn’t the straw to break the camels back, the child sized portions that were placed in front of us did it. 6 bite sized shrimp, about 14 fries, and a small tub of coleslaw for $ 12.50 is an insult to any self-respecting adult. While I’m all for supporting locally owned businesses, this experience reminds me why I sometimes do not. As I close this review from the parking lot, my girlfriend is searching Google for a place to eat nearby. Thanks for the over-priced appetizer, Supreme Fish Delight.

The whole store looks like it is covered in a layer of grease. Changed my mind and left before ordering.(After I made it past the winos in the parking lot.)

Supreme Fish Delight fried whiting is too salty! Fried fish is one of my favorites and when I indulge on rare occasion it should be worth it. Most places I’ve experienced have well seasoned and enjoyable fried fish. That wasn’t the case with Supreme Fish Delight. When I went to Supreme Fish Delight I ordered fried whiting. In an attempt to cut out some fat I also ordered a side of yellow rice. The yellow rice was a big mistake because it was undercooked. Needless to say I won’t be making anymore trips to Supreme Fish Delight. Maybe it was just the location I visited. That location near Greenbriar Mall recently closed down. Nonetheless, this is Atlanta and there are plenty of decent take out and dining establishments that serve delicious fried fish. Supreme Fish Delight is only available in the metro area and headquartered in Decatur. This franchise business chain has been expanding rapidly over the past few years. Maybe one day I’ll give them a second chance. Thank Goodness for Yasin’s.
