At Wilks Tire & Battery Service, we offer competitively priced tires from the industry’s leading brands, back by our tire protection program. Our ASE-​certified technicians can handle a variety of automotive repair services, such as brake repairs, wheel alignments, rotation and balancing, steering and suspension system repairs, diagnostics, transmission services, preventive maintenance, and electrical system repairs. We also service diesel engine systems and hybrid vehicles. For your convenience, we offer free Wi-​Fi and coffee in our waiting rooms, equipped with TVs. We also provide local shuttle services while we service your vehicle.

History

Established in 1952.

Wilks Tire & Battery Service (as its known today) began as Wilks Battery Service in Albertville, Alabama, in the late-​1940s. In the early years, owner Bill Wilks delivered batteries over a three state area while his wife, Sara, ran the office. Eventually, they entered the tire business and, in 1952, changed the company’s name to Wilks Tire & Battery Service. Their two sons, Shane and Craig, joined the business in the mid-​1970s. Taking what their parents taught them about hard work, customer service, and being leaders in the community, Shane and Craig expanded the business into other cities in North Alabama and built the company into one of the largest full-​service tire dealerships in Alabama.
