Pretty tasty little place! I picked this one out based on the name, because who wouldn’t want to eat at a place with angry pickles in the name? It’s a divey-type place, and the tables have butcher paper on them with crayons to draw. I discovered this after watching an elderly couple next to me drawing a tree. I had the vegetarian hummus wrap, and it was pretty tasty! The cucumber salad was good as well. If you are in town, I’d recommend a stop for a light lunch!

I came here while I was in town with my parents and was excited to try and new place and I wasn’t disappointed. I am a very picky eater and they accommodated my requests very kindly. Our server Kim was outstanding. Best service I have had in a long time. She makes all the desserts and her tuxedo cake is worth the calories. I had a salmon salad(healthy and just what the doctor ordered) with the cucumber salad(delicious) but had a bite of my dad’s beefy j(pretty good) and fish chowder(yummy) as well as a bite of my mom’s gyro burger(which was delicious).

The staff and clientele are friendly! A chef-driven small restaurant, the food is really good and tasty. The daily specials and menu variances keep things interesting. One of the best places to eat, IMHO, in Decorah! Kudos!

I tried this place the other day and was totally disappointed. The food was bland, I got a veggie wrap. Could have really used some pesto. The soup was bland also. Just tasted like watery can soup. But the worst part was when I looked up at the ceiling. Disgusting filth! I was afraid a glob of filth would or already have fallen in my food. I was done eating at that point. Please do some cleaning.

We stopped in here after visiting the Hatchery in early June. The pickle in the name got me as I love pickles. It was crowded when we arrived but, we were soon seated with menus. My first choice was a bowl of homemade fish chowder which was outstanding. Sort of similar to NE Clam chowder but, better. Next we tried what we really came for, the pickles. Simply delicious. Our main course of fresh fish was excellent. The food was great and the service very good. Add this to your list of eateries when you visit this area.

Excellent food. I had the Irish-American sandwich, cucumber salad, and a slice of the most delicious raspberry pie. Service was lightening fast and friendly. This is a «must visit» when in town. I cannot remember having a cold sandwich so tasty, filling, and dlightful.

Very fresh, well prepared and a wide variety of cuisines and influences. Not just a deli by any means. Reasonably priced with a fun, casual atmosphere. Give it a try if you’re in town.

Rolled through town on my way back home, and had a Banh Mi sandwich here. Has turbo charm, and the sandwich was GREAT!

Stopped in for lunch on a recent trip to Decorah. Tables were a little crowded, but we managed. Food was good(nice variety of sandwiches, choice of 3 homemade soups) and prices were reasonable. Staff was cheerful. Fun informal atmosphere.
