We are a full line furniture repair, restoration and refinishing service, we also do reupholstering. Our specialty is in home repairs but we also offer a 3200 sq. ft. shop in Dedham for major repairs and restoration. We also do insurance and moving claims as a major part of out work.

History

Established in 1984.

I am one of the lucky few who was able to turn my hobby into my business. I do my work because I love it! I started working on furniture in my basement workshop in the early 1970’s, and discovered I was thrilled by bringing things back from the «dead» and seeing the results. Some of my earliest efforts are still in daily use more than 40 years later. After working out of my basement shop, we moved to a 3200 sq. ft. shop in Dedham 15 years ago. My business now includes 2 full time employees who are also dedicated to producing work at the highest level. I have attended many, many workshops and training sessions at various locations around the country, including 2 week long classes at the rural Virginia

home/​shop of the retired Chief Conservator at the Smithstonian Institute. I read avidly and have over 200 books on furniture repairs and restoration, etc. I have also written several articles on restoration for «Fine Woodworking» magazine. I continue to read, study and learn about my profession, and will continue doing so until the day I die. I don’t want to retire, after all I’d probably spend my days doing exactly what I do now!
