An Award-Winning Restaurant and Bakery
Western Wisconsin’s own Norske Nook has received 41 awards while competing in the National Pie Championship in Florida for the past ten years. The annual event has brought together amateur pie makers, professional bakers, and commercial pie companies together since 1995. Over 500 pies are registered in the competition. Through the years, we’re proud to have won 41 blue ribbons!
Visit any of our bakeries in Osseo, Rice Lake, Hayward, or DeForest, Wisconsin for a taste of our award-winning pies and baked goods or order any of our homemade desserts online and have them shipped to family and friends.

Serving Tradition Daily
At Norske Nook we feed the stomach and the soul. All of our four Western Wisconsin restaurants (locations in Osseo, Rice Lake, Hayward and DeForest) serve home cooked Norwegian food with an American flare. In addition to serving a great meal, our dining environment & hospitality evoke feelings of home and tradition from the traditional Scandinavian dress of our wait staff to the rosemailing and Scandinavian art that decorate the restaurant. We serve foods that you may typically only get at grandma’s house during the holidays.
Norwegian Food & American Favorites
Unlike so many restaurants today, we create meals from scratch. Our family-style kitchen is filled aromas of slow-cooked roasts, real mashed potatoes, fresh Norwegian lefse, and, of course, homemade pie. Our time-honored recipes bring back memories and create new ones. Specials are served daily.

As the Regional Manager and Co-Owner, I’m responsible for helping Norske Nook grow our business and people, and ensure restaurant operations standards, while encouraging honesty and integrity in all actions. While planning and directing the daily operations of the restaurants in accordance with our policies and guidelines with respect to maximizing profits, sales, and maintenance of guest and employee relations.
