Online says they are open till 4pm on Saturday but they really are only open till 3pm. So glad we wasted time driving all the way out there for a place that was closed.

horrendous service. the employees always try to ‘pass the buck’ claiming they do not know who told me my item would be complete. the owner is a rude, ignorant, mean, disrespectful jerk.
i wouldn’t recommend anyone go here. been in business 87 years, there can’t be many people left that use these clowns

If you need an item by a certain time, I do NOT recommend this dry cleaners. I took an item to them and they promised that I would have it a week later (a WEEK — not a day or even three — a full week!) at 3:00 p.m. When I went to pick it up I was told it wasn’t ready and the clerk wasn’t sure «who told me that» (even though the date and time promised was printed on the receipt). I was then promised that it would be ready at 11:00 a.m. the next morning but yet again, it wasn’t ready. This was now a problem because I needed the item for the weekend and was not going to be nearby. If I wanted to come back a third time I would have to drive 32 miles and take over an hour out of my day. When I did return to pick up the item, the way they felt that they could make up for this incredible inconvenience, much less the cost of gas, was by taking $ 2 off the bill — a whopping 8% reduction in the price. With that kind of customer service, it is no wonder another dry cleaner opened up right next door.
There a several things wrong in this business. The uninformed person who promised the item to me twice, the difficult older woman who seemed to blame it on me when she said“I don’t know who told you that”, to the clerk who felt $ 2 was a good way to make it right and couldn’t bother to follow up with when I returned. She had someone else ring me up! All of these people answer to the owner who is falling short on training his staff on their company policies and also how you treat customers. He also thinks that 8 days is an acceptable turn-​around for dry cleaning. They may have been in business for 87 years, but I doubt they will make it another decade with this type of approach to business! They have chased business away! Handy Dandy will NOT be our new dry cleaner!
UPDATE — I drove to Crowne Cleaners in East Greenbush with another tablecloth. They had it ready that day AND charged me 50% LESS than Handy Dandy. (They charge less for shirts too!) We’ve long been customers of Crowne Cleaners — the only reason we were looking for a new place was because we moved but with I’ve decided it’s worth the trip when you consider Crowne Cleaner’s great customer service and prices!

Inexpensive friendly service. What more can you want from a dry cleaner?
