Lita’s Tacos & Burritos

First a disclosure –
I know the chef and co-​owner of this Mexican place really well. Shannon’s my little sister. But that means I know the food at Lita’s is just like my grandmother (the original Lita) used to make!
The food at Lita’s is amazing — definitely down-​home Mexican. Authentic to Zacatecas and the California Mexican style. The place is small so the menu changes often depending on what Shannon’s cooking, but in addition to the great burritos, the enchiladas and tamales are amazing. If they have tamales dulce (sweet tamales) make sure you try one. It’s a different and wonderful taste.
The owners are family friendly (my young nephew may be in there doing his homework if you come at the right time) and there’s lots of parking. The prices are good because servings are huge — for $ 10 you’ll probably be full and taking leftovers home!
