NY Nails of Delray

it was like bad sex. quick, rough, awkward conversation and a bad result. the guy didn’t let them cure long enough (gel manicure) and by the 3^rd day they started to bubble and peel. i have NEVER had a gel manicure fall apart so quickly. i won’t be back!

The only person who seemed to know what they were doing was Tommy… who apparently is the owner, but he was doing other people. The woman who did my pedicure was on another planet (the only Spanish woman there). She had to be on some sort of meds because she was very slow, very twitchy, and kept making weird faces. My toes have nice globs of polish on them, and well as polish below mycuticle, onto my toe. The woman Natalie who did my manicure not only cut 3 of my fingers, but I also had a broken nail which she claimed she could make even. Well I have a nexgen manicure with a crooked nail and 3 bloody fingers. I chose this place because its close to my house, but I will never go here again. I spent $ 65 ($ 50 total plus a $ 15 tip — because Im in the service industry and I tip well). I would rather pay more at a place the Venetian and have my nails looking great, and no bloody fingers.

I had to wait about 20 minutes, but that is understandable since most people I know get their nails done on a Sunday when they’re off from work– and also, not many salons are open on Sunday. I’m very pleased with the way my mani came out. They were done by a guy named Vic. It was my first time coming here and I will definitely be coming back again for a pedi. My regular mani (they also have a spa mani) was $ 10, which is a pretty good deal if you just wanna get in and get out. The manicurists were all very nice and conversational with their clients. I was a bit quiet and shy though because I didn’t know anyone ;) I’ll definitely be coming back here regularly.

Great bunch of techs! Really great job at reasonable price. And the employees are fun and funny!

I just love these guys. Wonderful job on both pedicures and acrylics. They are very interactive and fun with a great deal of professionalism. I have gone here three times now and will go back over and over. :)

mother all come here and I get a spa pedicure once in a while… it’s cheap. and quality service. Always packed and kids running around. Looks like a family business. Needs to be updated to compete with all new shops in area even adding other services

Amazing job on my gel pedicure and reasonable prices. The best part was the friendliness of the staff, which carried over to a fun atmosphere for the clients. Will definitely be back.

This is a great place to get your nails done. It is run by three brothers and they are very nice, friendly and efficient.
Came in without an appointment and we only waited about 10 minutes to get our pedicures started.
Even though the pedicure/​massage chairs were a little worn, they were comfortable and the massage buttons all worked. The water was a great temperature and the tools were very clean.
Very happy with the service and our pedicures and the price was very reasonable. They do accept credit cards but please bring cash for the tip.

First off… Jimmy is a complete asshole who makes jokes and thinks he’s funny! The place is very unprofessional. The owners have their 2 kids running around and disturbing everyone. Tommy… the owner is dirty and rude. Do not go here! You have been warned and their pedicure chairs are torn and very worn. I don’t think there tools are sterilized enough either. Lousy mani/​pedi.

I love this place. I wear acrylics. I’m from New York. I’m used to having my nails done a certain way. And, in a clean sanitary environment. As a registered nurse sanitation is my first and primary interest. Aside from the wonderful way my nails book when I walk out of the place and the speed at which they are competed, I’m very pleased with every part of this nail service. I’ve been using this salon for three years during my winter stays in Florida.

I came after reading the bad reviews and was more than pleasantly surprised! They are under new ownership and the new owner, Tommy, is so nice and fun to talk to. He also is the best manicurist I have ever had! I whole heartedly think everyone should ignore any previous review and give NY Nails a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

I would like to say that this place is great, I’m here from NJ for the winter and was freaking out since I had no referrals to go to other than here on Unilocal.Let me tell you that Tommy the owner is meticulous and I loved his design. I will be going back there again.

Went in again recently because it was close and other than being very inexpensive it’s nothing special. The décor is very outdated and I like a rrrrrealy good exfoliant and they just didn’t do it. My feet were a little cut up from some shoes and she was just going to leave the dead skin if I didn’t speak up? Come on, no. $ 20 for a pedicure is cheap though so unless you can speak up and tell them do this do that, I wouldn’t recommend the place. They seem to be relatively clean and friendly however so points for that.

I called to see if I could get a polish change for my fingers and toes. I am looking for a place to go while I spend some time in Delray. I walked in to the salon, and well… it’s run down. Holes in the wall, stained ceiling tiles from water damage. OK… I should have walked out. But it was just a polish change right?
It is difficult to find the cold you want, because the polishes are in a disarray. The guy starts my polish, and everything seems fine. Nope. the polish is streaky and looks old. I say that and he tells me it’s new polish. Ahem. new polish doesn’t clog around the rim of the jar, or go on thick and streaky. So he put on another coat. We get to the toes, and I look at the nails. There are black flecks in some of them. So he tries to fix it without just re-​doing the whole nail. failure. When working on the toes, he doesn’t put my flip flop on BEFORE doing the polish, so when he is finished and puts the flip flop on, it ruins the polish. yes… he’s going to fix that the same way he did the nails. failure.
There are too many nail salons that are clean and do a good job to waste you money here. Oh… and the other bad thing? They talk to each other in their native tongue, so you automatically think they’re talking about the clients. The whole experience was not good. Go somewhere else!

I was across the street getting my truck worked on so I had plenty of time. I walked in and was directed to a seat. I only waited a couple if minutes. Nicky directed me to a pedicure chair. She did a great job and also gave me a pedicure.
I was very happy and will return.
