Surf Shack Subs & Smoothies specializes in fantastic subs, smoothies & acai bowls.

All of our subs are made to order with only the finest fresh sliced meats & cheeses prepared for each sub. We think you will agree that our Cuban, Italian (we call it the Tony C) Muffaletta, BBQ Pork or Chicken PO BOY, The Big Ka Tuna (all white tuna mixed with our fresh basil mayo) and our Bahn Mi will be amongst the best you’ve ever had!

Our Smoothies feature all natural fruits, some exotic you won’t find elsewhere– soursop, guava, passion fruit, acai, mammy, lulu, and mango. No fillers, sweeteners or additives.

Try one of our Green Smoothies with kale, avocado, cucumber and fresh fruits. We freeze our fruit so we don’t use any ice or water to ensure you the best smoothie around!

Our delicious and nutritious Acai & Pitaya

(Dragonfruit) bowls are the perfect way to start your day. Sambazon acai is stirred smooth with coconut water or almond milk, granola and topped with fresh cut fruits.

I opened Surf Shack Subs & Smoothies in May 2015 to combine my passion of great simple foods, my love for the ocean and community.

I opened Surf Shack Subs & Smoothies after closing my Paradise Café in NYC after a 20 year run. I live locally with my wife and Golden Lab plus have family living right here in our beautiful City By The Sea, Delray Beach. When not at the shop you will most likely find me at the beach or out on my Paddle Board .

I don’t usually write all that many reviews, but this is one of the rare cases where I felt compelled to say my piece. I’m an out-​of-​towner visiting some relatives and was driving around the Delray Beach area when I got hungry and decided to see what was around. I found this place on Unilocal and based on all the stellar reviews I knew I was in for a treat. The owner Mike greeted me and asked my name and took my order for the Italian sub and a smoothie of my own creation (mango, pineapple and passion fruit) and he could not have been nicer. As he prepared my food, a guy with his kids got their order of acai bowls, which looked amazing, and I got even more excited to get my food. After a little chit-​chat to ask the gentleman what he got and to joke with the owner that I wish this place was in Maryland (where I’m from) my order was ready and I took it to go.
I’m writing this review now from where I’m staying, and all I can say is this food is amazing. I know it’s just a sandwich but it’s very clear to me that they really care about the food here because it’s put together beautifully with fresh and flavorful ingredients, and my smoothie is one of the best I’ve ever had. And I drink A LOT of smoothies. Needless to say, I will probably be back tomorrow morning both for one of those delicious looking acai bowls for breakfast and for the friendly service, and Surf Shack will be a regular stop for me when I come down to visit!

I Love this place! I used to always get their Cuban, because it is spectacular! The last several times I have been trying all the other subs on their menu, and every single one has been absolutely awesome. You are going to be thrilled with anything you order here.
The service is great. The owner, Mike, and his wife are two of the coolest, nicest people, ever! The place is fun, and upbeat. The customers are always happy and smiling. It’s just a stand out place, all around. You must go check it out to truly appreciate it. If you have not been here, yet, you are missing something special. Enjoy.

Surf Shack Subs & Smoothies was incredible. Being from Philly and the Jersey Shore, I know good subs. Surf Shack had great and fresh ingredients. They made my sub quick and the wait was pleasant. There was a nice, quiet sitting area with umbrellas, bean bag toss, and surf boards for tables to be completely honest I wish we had a cool environment like this at the Jersey Shore. The owner, Mike, was working hard and took my order. He even talked for a while and sat down with me after I got my sub. I didn’t try the smoothies but I love that they have smoothies there. The ONLY thing bad was that they were out of lettuce, but they had a great replacement and it was okay considering the size of their sub shop. Mike was very friendly and told some good stories. Overall I felt really comfortable at this cool sub shop and I will definitely coming back again.

Best Acai bowl so far that I’ve ever experienced goes to surf shack! Great surfer/​beach town atmosphere with light reggae playing in the background as you dig into their healthy eats. Service is fast and attentive. I give it four stars instead of five because my boyfriend didn’t like his bbq pork sandwich but then again he doesn’t like anything. If your man is a picky eater take him to burger Fi after you get your fix ;)

I will definitely be back! We had such a pleasant experience here. The décor is very bright and reminds me of this beautiful beach town we live in. The acai bowl was so refreshing and filling. You can sit outside and he is very dog friendly, even offering her a cup for water. Great locally owned restaurant!

This place is great. I had the best custom made to order smoothie with compressed fruit, no fillers, no dairy, no crushed ice. The owner was very friendly I believe his name was mike. I will definitely be back to try their sandwiches.
The only downside of this place is that they only have outdoor seating. Which is not ideal in Florida because of the frequent rain and blazing sun. They have a tiki theme going maybe they’ll build a tiki roof for the outdoor tables.
I also think they need more advertising or word of mouth. It’s such a small place on federal highway and there’s not much next to it where you would be stopping nearby and walk in. That’s why I’m writing this review. Go for smoothies it’s worth the 5 minute stop

Mike the owner was very friendly and personable. The Cuban Sandwich was totally awesome. I would recommend this place for sure. The subs are made fresh with excellent ingredients. Give this shop a chance, it kills all of the other sub shops around!

Surf shack Subs and Smoothies is a sandwich game changer for the city of Delray. Located minutes off the ave, the tiki hut is (sandwiched) between a cigar and vintage pinball shop just south of 10th street on federal. Truly, the standouts are Showstoppers: BBQ Pork Po Boy, the Cuban, a Vietnamese Bahn Mi that is outrageously delicious. Atmosphere is perfect. Believe the hype, this is the sandwich spot we’ve been missing. Also, they are in delivery dudes. Accept no Sub (stitutes). Ha.
