I am brand new to cycling and they were great! So helpful. Answered any and ALL questions that I had. I purchased a helmet, tire pump and lock. Love them all so far!

Best bicycle shop I ever went to. Honest, knowledgeable, helpful. Worth a trip to shop in.

Best bicycle shop experience in a really long time! I had a really tall order. I needed a bike tuned up in a 24 hour turn around time two days before Christmas. After calling around to many bike shops in the area and constantly being told I was nuts for asking for such a thing, the owner of Bicycle Lab let me know that it wasn’t a problem at all. I brought the bike in and they had it done in less than a day! My bike needed a tune up, new rear dérailleur, new tires, and new grip tape. Since I know a thing or two about bike repair, I was able to save myself a few bucks by doing some of the labor myself, a suggestion made by the owner! These people are honest, knowledgeable, and suuuuper nice!

I can’t begin to say enough good things about these guys!
I have worked in jobs involving customer service my whole career and I know good customer service when I, rarely, see it. These guys have it nailed!
I was having problems with my bike and was going to take it to a local shop until I saw their awful reviews. I then went to Unilocal!and found this shop.
To be honest, great reviews on Unilocal have proven wrong on a number of occasions in the past, but not this time!
I thought I was having problems with my front dérailleur.
When I pedaled, I was hearing a loud clicking and a creaking sound.
Jim, the mechanic, was able to diagnose it as being due to the spindle (the part that rotates as you pedal) being loose. I don’t think it was assembled quite right when I first purchased it elsewhere several years ago.
Update: There were a minimum of FOUR separate problems that had to be fixed!
(The bill was still pretty reasonable, despite this.)
Pardon my lack of technical knowledge but one part was literally bad from the factory.
There is a bolt with an integrated washer that holds the crank to the spindle (?)
The washer should have been round and it was actually oblong!
The bolt was also noticeably oblong. (To a mechanic savvy enough to remove and inspect it.)
Jim showed me aluminum shavings where wear had been occurring.
Better yet, he had the part in stock!
As a former technician in another field, I know this type of situation (with multiple causes) is one of the hardest to solve and requires a lot of knowledge and persistence.
Thank you Jim, you stuck with it until it was properly fixed!
I could imagine other shops fixing it halfway and then just copping out with a
«well, that’s as good as it’s going to get.»
Not at The Bicycle Lab!
I have been riding at the recreational level since I have been a kid and I learned a lot listening to Jeff. My seat height was inches too high, no wonder I was feeling knee issues as I have been increasing my biking lately. I was «hyper-​extending» my leg.
Later, as I continued to ramp up my biking, I discovered I was starting to feel some pain in my elbows. Jim knew right away that my handlebars were not adjusted properly and I was riding with my elbow joints almost locked. He explained how to very easily adjust this to my preference. I should have known not to lock joints at full extension from the few times I have worked with a personal trainer. Case in point, when doing leg presses on a machine.
It hadn’t occurred to me that this also applied to cycling.
Everything about my bike is perfect now!
My bike is riding quietly and smoothly, literally better than new!
Any aches and pains are gone.
You can feel confident that if you bring your bike here for service, both you and your bike will be treated great!

Awesome Bike Shop! Jeff is the man when it comes to bikes and gear. Saved my life several times with the front and back lights and tuned my bike several times. Good assortment of shoes, helmets, tires etc. Def recommend and will continue to use… Thanks Jeff!

I had a great experience at the Bicycle Lab. I know a fair amount about bikes and do most of my own maintenance/​repairs. But there is always more to learn and Jeff was more than happy to help me out. He is very knowledgeable and sold me exactly what I needed to get my bike back in top shape. Highly recommend.

fast, friendly, extremely knowledgeable staff. I went in for routine maintenance which was done immediately. Jeff spent the time to explain to me in great detail what I should be looking for when I purchase a road bike in the near future. Which I will be making at Bicycle Lab after my 3 outstanding visits.

My fiancée and I wanted to get some bicycles to add some fun fitness to our lives. After visiting several huge retailers, we quickly realized that most places sell what they have, not whats best for you.
The Bicycle Lab reminds me of the smaller boutique stores I went to in NYC but with a larger selection of premium products. Really I don’t think they sell anything that they wouldn’t use themselves. We both selected some Felt hybrid bikes and were measured. When they were ready to pickup the guys stayed after hours, helping get all our gear installed and the bike rack mounted to my truck. Jeff and the guys didn’t rush me, they took the time to watch me ride, adjust my seat, explain everything, and offer advice without being pushy.
In short, we had a great experience and will continue to use the Bicycle Lab as our go to bike shop!

Being newbies at bikes, Jeff was super helpful to my boyfriend and I! He was really knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. He helped us find the perfect bikes, and made sure we were happy. He even cut us a discount because we bought two bikes, which was really nice! Love love love my bike, and I’m so happy we went with the Bike Lab. Jeff and Jim at the Bicycle Lab are wonderful. Jim is a very talented mechanic who can fix anything, and Jeff can answer any bike, nutrition, or endurance-​training question I ask him (and I ask a lot.)
I had visited many bike shops when I first started riding a few months ago, and no place has made me feel as welcome as the Bicycle Lab. Even when I don’t need anything, I enjoy going in to chat and soak up some of Jeff’s biking knowledge. Thanks again!

We had our bikes taken apart and shipped from NY. Jeff did a great job reassembling and tuning them up, they ride better than ever. He was great to deal with, reasonable prices, helpful service. Nice to find such a great bike store in our new home!

If you are an avid cycler, then this place is for you. I have had my bike in here several times for a multitude of problems and they always seem to fix it right the first time and it never takes more than a day or two. Every time I come in I learn something else as the guys always take to the time to answer all my questions and then some. And if you are looking for something that they dont have, they will order it for you. There are several bigger shops in the area but if you are looking for personal attention and a real bike mechanic, then look no further. i will be upgrading my mountain bike very soon and look forward to my next visit.

I love the Bike Lab! A friend recommended I stop by and after one visit I was hooked. Jeff is a great guy and Jim has an encyclopedic knowledge of bike repair and maintainence. Jeff spends real quality time with each customer to ensure they meet their cycling goals.
I recently bought a CAAD10 from Jeff and I could not be happier.

My wife and I recently moved here from Dallas and had to tune and repair our bikes in a hurry. These guys are helpful, informative and really make you feel welcome. They even stayed late one evening so I could pick up my wife’s bike for a ride the next morning.

Jeff and the gang here are super helpful. They walked me through the process to fix a couple of things on my bike. You hear that? It’s the sound of me becoming a regular.
They don’t have a huge bike selection but can special order whatever you need.

The Bicycle Lab is not your average «bike shop». It arms you with the knowledge to go out and conquer the road. I had the opportunity to acquire many individual parts and have always received excellent service. But where the store really separates itself from the crowd is when it comes to custom fitting and building your dream bike. My personal Parlee TT frame was exactly the way I imagined it, professionally built with care and fitted to my specific body geometry using Retul computerized system. What can I say, I am a big fan and can’t recommend the store, the owner and their staff, starting with the head tech Jim, to enough people.

If you’re looking for a great shop in Delray, or in Southern FL in general, The Bicycle Lab is about as good as it gets. My friends and I were down from Boston doing a training camp, and we’re Plagued by problem after problem… Broken seat clamps, loose and eventually broken spokes, loose headsets… you name it, we had it break. Every-​time we rolled our newly broken piece of carbon into the shop, we were greeted by our first names as if we had been customers for years. They had us in and out in a matter of minutes and literally saved our trip on a number of occasions. Friendly, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. See these guys before you go anywhere else!!!
