Vans One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating

After a nasty arrogant bully of a manager contacted me I have filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against the local franchise of what turns out to be 1 Hour AC. They are attempting to fool old Van’s Comfortemp AC customers buy using their old phone number and not stating who they really are. This is fraud.
As for the BIG Mouth Mr. Bully manager he has yet to respond to the specifics of the BBB complaint. I have had no comment from the Dept of Professional Regulation thus far on that complaint of fraud.
BTW this is for the Congress Ave location only.

I’ve had a yearly service contract with them for 9 years. They have always been reliable in performing twice yearly routine maintenance, with capable well trained techs, who are tidy and efficient and since I watch them, I observe their thoroughness.
Last Saturday morning our air handler stopped. Dead. Nothing I could do. Wasn’t the circuit breaker, which I hoped was tripped during lightning storm. No such luck. So I called them up, they dispatched a tech as promised in under an hour. Problem diagnosed (variable speed motor dead), and tech called in the part number, it was available, they picked it up, and another tech installed it a few hours later. He was knowledgable, answered all my naïve questions, and almost wouldn’t accept the generous tip I offered after he finished the repair/​install. (How can ya not tip these guys?)
Yup, it was expensive, but I received the 15% discount offered to those with service contracts, so I just reminded myself this is an expense of using AC ²⁴⁄₇ 52 in South FL. I wasn’t going to start making calls and get prices from other companies when I already had a relationship with this one.
Oh, they provide a written two year warranty on parts and labor, and only use new original manufacturer parts.

I have a vacation home in Delray Beach and a service contract with Vans One Hour Air Conditioning. I recently needed a service call and my elderly mother in law helped me out by letting them in the house. They fixed two parts and charged me $ 548 for parts that cost $ 40. Then they shook my mother in law down for the cash or check to pay for it instead of billing me.
This company took advantage of an out of town owner and an elderly person all at once. $ 548 later, when I confronted The company about this outrageous price, they did nothing about it.
Buyer beware. Ripping off the elderly, dispicable!
