Confluence Gallery is the only Artists’ Cooperative in Delta County. We have on average 9 active members with goods including artistic photography, gourd art, paper crafting, weaving, dyed silk, porcelain dolls, painted rocks, homemade soap, painted art, jewelry, and more! Our artists occasionally offer various workshops open to the public.
History
Established in 2013.
Founded in March 2013 by a gathering of artists who longed to see the art and handmade goods movement come back to Delta, Colorado, Confluence Gallery is currently established as the largest and most diverse artist gallery in the city limits of Delta. At the time of our formation through autumn 2015 we were the only gallery in Delta.
Our vision is To be a fun and interactive destination in Delta for art enthusiasts, to promote fine arts and crafts uniquely created by local artists through visual displays and demonstrations, to connect the community with the hand-crafted cultural movement, and to give the community and its visitors a hub for art commerce.
Meet the Manager
Jessica G.
Manager
Jessica is the founding Committee Chair. She is the one who brought the idea for the organization to the Chamber of Commerce where Director Kami helped organize a meeting for area artists to visit and discuss the possibility of joining to form an art and creative venture. As the meetings went on, a name was chosen and a vision statement created. After only a handful of meetings a core group was left and formed a committee that would oversee operations of the co-op. Because of her organizational skills and knack for brainstorming until an idea is formed and hatched, she was elected the Committee Chair and has been happy to serve in that regard since. Elections happen yearly.
