History

Established in 1974.

In 1973, Gordon and Juanita Keen Thompson purchased Quick N Handy Cleaners from Mr. Gully. They operated the cleaners throughout the years. In 1983 their son, Maurice «Scooter» Keen started working with his parents to learn the trade. In 1985, Scooter’s wife Kay came on board as well. In 1995, the Keens purchased the cleaners from Scooter’s parents. The Keens along with their long time manager Mary Ann Lemoine have a wonderful team of professionals that work together to do the best job for their customers.

Scooter Keen is the owner/​operator of Quick N Handy Cleaners and Laundry Inc. He has been working at the cleaners for almost 30 years. Outside of the cleaners, Scooter is a avid hunter and fisherman. He currently serves as State Chair for the State of Louisiana for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The RMEF is a land conservation group. Scooter along with his wife Kay have three children and one son in law.
