Audacity Brew House

I’m a firm believer in that nothing is perfect, so 5 stars should rarely be given for an establishment. This is one of those rare cases. I felt Audacity deserved 5 stars due to every qualification I feel a brewery/​taproom should possess. I listed them in order of most to least importance:
BEER– I wish I was better with remembering the specific names but I got both flights and only disliked 3 of the brews, however can only recall the cream soda as my strongest dislike. The remaining brews I loved. Only name I can recall as a specific favorite would be summer nights, and I got those to go in a 6 pack on my way out. Canned while I was there drinking my two pilots!!!
STAFF– during my visit the bartender was jazzed about everything beer and was willing and able to answer all of my questions. All while having a nice attitude and being service conscious.
VIBE– it’s located In a cool part of Denton. Has a huge tank out front of a green building. Inside is open with high ceiling. Owned by a Denton Alumni. I went on Wednesday, which was half off happy hour day and the people I was surrounded by at the bar were friendly and we talked about beer as a group with each other and bartender.
For my particular taste this place is perfect and I would definitely recommend a visit! I’ve been having withdrawals ever sense my last visit and will be going this Wednesday to get my fix!!!

I like Evil alright. Im from Austin. I get that denton is def diff frm austin. Idk, i hate to do a negative review. I just hate the cream ale. And I’m hoping that the guys who run the place will read this and work with me. The cream soda audacity is just too sweet and then weird at the end. What do you guys think? Have you tried it much? Anyway I don’t mean to be hateful. And I will erase thisif no one responds with in a while. I just wanted to share my honest opinion. Thanks.

There were twelve beers that you could try. We had two flights (not able to change beers in and out-​pre set; $ 8 for one, $ 10 for the other) and it was good. The atmosphere was very chill. We enjoyed hanging out. There were games to play as well as live music. A good selection too. There is an outdoor area that was resented for a party so that’s an option. Clean bathrooms (yay). Friendly staff and there was merchandisers that was available for purchase.

This is everything you want in a taproom. A selection of 6 standards and 6 rotating beers, with a staff that has beer knowledge that can help you find the right beer for you. Overall this place has good beer and a fun atmosphere.
I wish I could give this place a solid 5 stars, but the beer poured too cold for a craft beer… maybe 5 to 8 degrees warmer would be just right. The carbonation seemed off as well, beer poured fast with little to no head. Finally as a craft brewer rinsing you’re glasses is a must and that didn’t happen.
Why does this place have such shitty social media?
Why can’t I buy glasses or anything online?
Why are you not selling tee-​shirts and hoodies that people would wear around campus., who does your marketing, they’re an idiot and I’ve clearly just brought in more revenue than they ever have!
I like you but because of this you lose a star!

Very cool little brewery. It’s the first brewery in Denton. I enjoy getting the flights and trying around 6 different beers. They have many different beers to from really lite to awesome stouts. My favorite is the black widow. It’s Imperial Chocolate Stout with an 8.8% ABV. The Sunset Lager and Bulletproof Ale are the two big ones. They are now canning both of those beers. They also do seasonal beers, so there seems to be new things to try every time I stop in.
The bar and restrooms are very clean. They do brewery tours every Saturday at 3pm, excluding holidays. Reserve early because it’s limited to 20 people. They let you order food from places that deliver like pizza. You can also bring your own food. They have a lot of board games you can play while trying their beer. They have live music on Sat night and yoga on Sunday mornings.

This place is so cool, chill, and laid back.
We’ve visited before on a weeknight which was pretty empty and chill. We got to talk to the bartender who was part owner and he gave us some information and history of the brewery.
Our second visit was on a Friday and they had 2 bands playing on the outdoor patio. It was a really nice atmosphere (a little cool outside). Inside you can have lively conversation while playing board games. They have a large assortment to choose from.
They offer some pretty unique beers– two that I remember are a cherry bomb and cream soda, both very flavorful.
They serve a few concession snacks that you can purchase, but don’t offer any appetizers or bar food. However, they have many menus of nearby restaurants which you can order from and have delivered.
Great choice for a nice night out.

My partner and I stopped-​by around the holidays and had a wonderfully chill afternoon sampling from their two flights. Some beers seemed more refined than others, but it’s a great initial offering of what can be an awesome brewery. The Lil’d series is especially intriguing as it puts a novel, darker spin on wheat beers. We’ll definitely stop by the next time we’re in town.

I always love coming here especially if I know I’m having someone visit from out of town. This is still a great place to relax and not unbelievably crowded like some of the bars off of Fry street. Definitely try the Black Widow and the seasonal beers!

There are a ton of craft bars and breweries in the area, but this is by far my favorite.
It’s a green building in an odd spot of Denton, but I think that adds to the appeal. It’s an extremely laid back bar where you can talk to friends, relax, and just enjoy yourself. They have board games that you can play, as well as free darts and foosball. They have a great, open patio with lots of tables and seating when the weather is nice. It’s hard to beat a night on the patio at Audacity!
They only have about 8 beers to choose from which I love. Most bars have 50 beers that you know nothing about and have to blindly make a choice. All beers are brewed there and have a short description. The bartenders also know all about each beer, and if you want a taste before committing to a pint they will give you a sample. They also have a list of beers that are currently brewing so you can know what to look forward to.
They have a lot of great beers, but my favorite is the black widow. It is a stout with hints of chocolate and coffee. They also have an Evil Cream Soda that tastes just like cream soda with a kick. You have to try it.
The bartenders are all super friendly and knowledgeable about the beer. Audacity also lets Karma Yoga do classes on the weekends.
Long story short, go to Audacity and relax and drink Black Widows. You will love it!

Delicious beer! Fantastic outdoor and indoor area. They provide tons of games for everyone’s entertainment. Also, the best part is that they provide a menu, so you can order from the selected restaurants and have it delivered to the bar.

This is the place! It’s fantastic, I will be back! I live in Wichita Falls and my wife and I decided to make the trip down to awesome Denton for lunch. We stopped at Barely & Board for lunch and I just had to stop by Audacity because the last two times I wasn’t able to.
My buddy came with me and we tried a flight each. He got the pilot which is their house beers. I tried the co-​pilot which is their seasonal beers. It was great and I loved it. They have a «Evil Cream Soda» that tastes remarkably like cream soda with a kick and a beer finish to it. It’s hard to put words to it but it’s worth it. Check out the picture. Their «Bulletproof» pale ale is craft worthy as well. It’s very hoppy but also has a taste of grapefruit to it, you simply cannot go wrong.
The establishment was clean and well kept, especially for a Saturday. The entire time we were there the two bartenders were filling drinks or cleaning the area. Eric was very knowledgable on the beer but also the process. My wife is not a fan of beer at all but he kindly offered her one he thought she would like. She didn’t, but that’s okay, she doesn’t like beer. And I brew my own haha.
While talking to the female bartender about their beers and my attempts at certain types she brought me a seasonal beer that wasn’t available for purchase yet so I could try it. I thought that was very cool. It really showed that the culture of the business was all about good beer and sharing it. Like I said, I will be back.

I love going to breweries. I have the goal to hit at least one in every state in America. I have yet to go to a brewery where I disliked every beer I tried… Until now.
I honestly had to spit out one of the beers it was so bad. I’m not even a beer snob. My girlfriend is much more of a snob and ended up asking me to try and drink the rest of our flight (which I stomached until I had to spit one out)

What a sweet spot for some affordable, tasty beer! We got the sampler of 4 beers for $ 5 total and that was perfect for my small, beer appetite. I got the blackberry wheat beer and the chocolate stout.
The blackberry beer sort of tasted like medicine at first but then the after taste was wheat beer… so not sure how to feel about that. However their chocolate stout is absolutely ah-​mazing. It tastes like a better, not-​so-​bitter Guinness. I have been disappointed with other chocolate beers but theirs was fabulous.
They have free brewery tours on Saturdays with a max of 20 people per tour at 3pm and 7pm. I haven’t yet been, but I was advised to come for the afternoon slot since there are less people.
The inside is quite spacious and sleek and the bartender is knowledgable and friendly. 5 stars all around from me!

Aww yiss! Beer in Denton! This place has a fun taproom and most importantly a large selection of unique brews that they make (i think i counted 13!!!). Anyway, The beers were good, we each tried a flight (which only cost $ 5 for either 4 or 5 different beers) and everything on that menu was great, with ABVs ranging from the low and casual drinking to the WOAH, this is strong! I heard that there is a food truck sometimes, but it wasn’t around when we were there or we didn’t see it. Otherwise there are no food options beyond bags of chips, so come prepared (i’m pretty sure you can bring in food or order in).

Good craft beer clean taste. Great location close by the college and the other bars tons of competition so good prices. Love the live music and definitely the clean restrooms. We did get ignored and skipped by the bartender he did notice, just never apologized the bar wasn’t packed either. It’s ok good beer makes up for it.

After a few days with a 6 year old we decided after dropping her off that we needed an adult beverage. Audacity came up in a Unilocal search.
My brother lived in Denton for a few years, but he has been gone from here over a year and a half now. Audacity has only been around for a few months so I was happy we were able to find a new place to find some local beer.
We walked in and were immediately greeted by the woman behind the bar. She was very friendly. She allowed us to try a few of their beers before committing to a pint. It seems more and more places are now charging for samples. Good to see there are a few still around that don’t. I went for their Belgian Saison which is called the Wallonia. This would be a good beer for a sunny spring day. We were there during a cloudy part of the day. The beer was still good.
We grabbed a table out back and ate from the BBQ truck that happened to be back there. Not sure if it is parked there all the time or if it just happened to be there because of St. Patty’s weekend.
Anyway, Audacity is a good place to grab a pretty good local beer, play some cornhole or watch some sports.

Yep, can’t really miss the neon green building. The thing i like best about Audacity Brew House is the simplicity of it. I can say that because I’ve become accustom to a few local bars that the list of beers can become overwhelming sometimes. You have anywhere from 5 – 10 different beers & that’s it. They have four?, of the same always on tap & several that rotate through. Come back every 2 – 3 months & expect to find a different batch.
The inside matches the selection, simple. I should also add that it always seems clean to me. It doesn’t really have that bar dirtiness that you can get from most places. Staff is well educated about the beers that are on tap & can help make a selection.
I thought the tour was pretty good for such a small place. The owner who gave it seem very passionate about his product. He also mentioned that he carries around beer with him in a «man purse», so if you see him stop & grab a free sample.

Ol’ little d is growing up! With beer gardens and breweries popping up on every newly renovated corner, the beer connoisseurs of Denton (myself included) are finding more places to try new great micro brews.
Thanks to the neon green paint, Audacity has had quite the buzz around it for months. To my knowledge, I believe this is the first Denton-​based brewery to open their doors to public for tours and tastings. I finally got to stop by on a chilly Saturday afternoon and was pleased to find a few groups already enjoying the local brews. The tasting room is equipped with picnic tables and bare-​bulb lights strung overhead. They kept some of the workin man’s feel with exposed brick and industrial metal, but classed it up with some artsy touches and do a great job of keeping it clean. It was a very homey and chill environment, conducive to hanging out for a 30 minute beer stop or an entire afternoon.
So, the beer. The pricing is very reasonable– $ 4 pints, $ 3 shorties, $ 5 flights. They had about 10 beers on tap when I visited, so a flight was a no-​brainer to get to see what this new brewery had to offer. To be honest, none of the beers knocked my socks off. The lighter ones were pretty average, and some of edgier types (ginger-​red-​something-​or-​other) just were a little off, in my opinion. They just left funky after tastes or had a strange tinge to them. My favorite was definitely the chili porter– not too spicy, not too heavy, but jussttt right. Based on the huge chalkboard menu, I’d assume they’ll be rotating in lots of new beers as they brew them, so there’s always room for improvement.
All-​in-​all, I think Audacity will do just fine here in Denton. I can’t speak to the brewery tours, but as far as the tasting room goes, it’s a great place to stop by for an affordable, local-​made brew and relax with friends. I’m excited to see what’s next!

You definitely need to check this place out! I went for one of the days of the opening weekend and had a great time. They have a really great little bar in the front and a patio out in the back too. I definitely think this place is going to just keep getting better and better as they continue growing here in Denton.
Not sure if they still have this one, but if you like dark beers you have to try the black widow stout. It was incredible!!!

The ‘Drachenfutter’ lager was my favorite.
They also have Berliner Weisse… not many brewerys offer that kind of beer…
It is not one I Iove… but I bet there are people out there searching for that kind of beer.
So when you are in the Denton area it is a great place to get a cold one.
They are only closed on mondays… so that is great too.
