I really like to give places the benefit of the doubt, especially rental places. Unfortunately, Jimmy Brown really got sneaky and screwed us over.
We had to move out of our duplex (which none of the doors ever shut). They were really nice when we told them we had to leave and made us believe we could trust them.
We had multiple, multiple people interested in our duplex and somehow noone was approved! They also jacked up the price, without even telling us. We had to continue to pay rent for a few months until we finally had a LAWYER call. They responded «We’ll have it rented by Monday».
…you can’t trust them to take care of you, they just want the green.

If you are renting your property they would probably be good, however if you are the renter prepare to be screwed.
We paid early every month on our lease and signed extensions on time and everything. When we told them we were going I move 7 weeks later they slapped a leasing sign in our front yard that day. Nothing like having random people looking in your windows while you are living someplace. We detail cleaned the entire house yet they found a way to keep almost 400 of our deposit.
Things were for the most part fixed quickly with 1 major exception. Never could get them to fix the back door
Do not do business with then unless you want to be ripped off. The office staff is nice but the management is not. A lot has changed in a few years.

Jimmy Brown PM was our landlord during the first half of a lease in Denton. During that part of the lease, we were extremely happy. Rates were fair and situations were taken care of quickly and accurately. Staff was super friendly. I highly recommend buying or renting from Jimmy Brown.
