Movers were supposed to arrive at 9:00 AM on Saturday, but did not arrive until 6:15 PM that night. I had called the night before to confirm, however at about 8:50 AM I received a call from one of the drivers letting me know they had mechanical problems with the truck they were using. They told me that worst case scenario, they would have another team ready for me by noon. However did not hear from anyone and called them back again. Throughout the afternoon I kept getting pushed back and received about three calls from different moving vendors asking me the same questions — was I still moving today? How much stuff did I have?
It was extremely frustrating and I lost an entire day of moving. The guys who did end up showing up (from Triple «O» Movers) were very pleasant and worked hard to get me moved as quickly as possible. The reason I gave two stars and not one.
However, I never received any apology from A All Carefree Moving, nor any compensation/​discount for long wait.
