I remember back in the day, when I was a teenager, I used to collect scrap metal and bring it to metal recycling place and get paid alot of money. Boy how things have changed. Now you need to bring in a big semi truck load just to make it worth your time. Plus they added a high tare and «environment fees» that makes your total even less.

This place used to be too notch, a great place to take scrap or trash. But lately they have gotten nasty and expensive, plus they ask you to wait in line AFTER you’ve dumped a load of trash, presumably so they know the exact weight of the trash you just dumped. That would be fine if there wasn’t 6 semi’s ahead of me and the nasty old hag at the window wasn’t trying to bed every trucker that bums her a cigarette. It’s just too much to ask of us just so your trash inventory is accurate. Give me a break. There are plenty of alternatives within a mile or two. I’d advise looking elsewhere for landfill services.
