You get what you pay for. If you want a «free» system from one of the larger security providers, then be aware that you will get minimal home protection, and locked into a 3 year contract. A keypad, a motion detector on one level and maybe 1 or 2 window alarms is not a sufficient way to protect yourself and your belongings. Hence the reason we decided to go with All Secure Protective Services. Also the fact that they are a local business and not a chain was mighty appealing to me. We didn’t get an elaborate system, but enough that I feel very protected when I sleep and when we are away. I think home security is one of the easiest ways to protect your belongings and yourself, but is always an afterthought or people don’t want to spend money each month for monitoring. I guess my thoughts… would I rather pay $ 30 a month for monitoring or pay thousands of dollars if my house got wiped out? I also like knowing if I’m asleep and someone is breaking into my house, before they end up in my bedroom.
It’s not any surprise that crime rates have gone up, since the economy has gone down. Even when the economy was okay, people thought it was okay to steal items that people work hard for. I like knowing that my house/​pets are okay when I’m gone?
All Secure provides state of the art security systems and also monitors for smoke, carbon monoxide, flood, etc. I think I’ll be getting a water monitor in our basement next, as I don’t want my basement to flood for hours, when monitoring it I’d know right away (especially with basement dwelling animals). I think it’s pretty cool that Honeywell offers «pet immune» motion detectors. I had no clue!!!
The owner is amazing, and spent HOURS talking about our options and helping us with our system. I trust him 100% and I can’t say enough good things about the company and the way our account has been handled. You get better customer service when you don’t use massive corporations. Plus, it feels good to support a Denver security company, and you know who is coming in your house to install things. If you are in the market for a security system or home monitoring system… I highly recommend All Secure.
