Art With Heart

Apparently art with heart are not hurting for business. I find them to be unprofessional and not very friendly! My friend had an appointment and the tattoo artist called out sick and never contacted her to let her know. Ive heard that this has happened to other people who have gone there. I’ve called and left a message to make an appointment and never received a phone call back. Not sure if this is common practice of tattoo parlors.

I stay in this shop, riley has probably done over a dozen tattooes on me. Amazing work, great cost, friendly place! I always refer my friends to this shop so I recommend it for you.

Went there today and am very happy. The two artists who were working were extremely friendly and welcoming. I gave a couple of ideas to Bryce who asked great questions and ended up creating an amazing design that took my original idea and made it better. He was engaging, really passionate about his work, and open to suggestions. Totally recommend AWH & Bryce. Thanks for the excellent work.

Had a great experience at this shop recently. I walked in with a couple ideas expecting to make a future appointment but Steve had availability that day. I brought in a couple of items that were the inspiration and he drew up a great design that I loved and did that Tattoo that afternoon. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and I will definitely go back. Steve was awesome. It’s only been 2 days and I’m already considering another one very soon, tossing around some ideas.
Steve was very thorough with after care instructions and my post tattoo healing process has been trouble free.

Art With Heart is a wonderful tattoo shop. Located in a small strip mall behind the bank on the corner of Iliff and Parker, AWH is a clean and comfortable shop. I have had work done by others in Denver, and though all but one were good, I have found a new artist for all future work. Honest Jon Hall (he earns the nickname, trust me) does incredible work. His attention to detail, the crispness of his lines, the needle control are all second-​to-​none. Doesn’t hurt that he is a really nice guy, too. I was scheduled for a calf piece, but I needed a coverup done as well. No sweat. Within minutes of sitting down, he has hand drawn the perfect coverup right on me, and inked it then and there. Never again will I have to look at my ex-wife’s name on my ankle (definite lesson learned). It blended perfectly into an already existing tattoo, and I am now ready to have the whole piece expanded. Finished that, and then went on to the calf piece. When getting work done, you want to make sure that you find someone who can steadily control the needle providing crisp lines but with a soft touch. The idea is to have perfect ink, not scar tissue. Jon has that soft touch and needle control. I doubt that he is the cheapest guy in Denver, but he is nowhere near the priciest either. For EXCELLENT work at a very fair price, Honest Jon is the man! Besides, why would you want the cheapest guy to mark you for life?
He schedules appointments several weeks out, so call him today to get on his calendar. You and your mortician will both be glad that Jon did your work.

Art With Heart definitely has heart! This shop is fantastic. It’s not too large and not too small, and is pretty much perfect in my mind. Each artist has their own private room so you’re not out in the open like other shops. It’s also über clean and well taken care of. You can tell that they take their work very seriously and that they have great pride in what they do.
I went in the other day to visit an old friend who works here and get some work done. I left with the biggest smile on my face because my experience was fantastic. Not only did I get to see my friend, but his work is outstanding. His craftsmanship was second to none and he really took his time giving me the tattoo I wanted. It is permanent after all, so you certainly shouldn’t settle for mediocre when it comes to tattoos.

James is an insanely talented artist and he’s one of the nicest guys I know. I have not been tattooed by anyone else in over 3 years and he’s done the equivalent of 2 sleeves worth of work on me. Clean lines, bright colors, awesome designs. I get compliments constantly and have even had people take photos of my tattoos at concerts and conventions.
I cannot recommend this shop enough.

So, I ended up with a great tattoo, but it was a bit of a process to get there.
My sister and I decided to get matching sister tattoos that I drew up myself. We scheduled the appointment via email with James since my sister had previously been tattooed by him. My sister sent him the photo and mistakenly mentioned that he could add anything he thought of and then we would agree or disagree with the changes.
We never got any feedback on his changes before the appointment so we were a bit worried.
The initial drawing he showed us upon arriving was nothing like what I thought it should look like but thankfully James worked with us until it basically looked like a cleaner version of what I sent him. (I am a tattoo artists worst nightmare I imagine)
The results were stunning! He did a great job! And it was a crazy good price. I would definitely recommend this place. Just be sure to be clear about what you want or don’t want. But, I am sure that is common sense tattoo advice ;) Thanks James!

Have been going to Riley for years. Clean shop and professional artists.

I finally decided my bucket list needed something scratched off of it and I needed a tattoo on my body. My Venus of Willendorf. I am an Art Historian and I love art, and have a serious soft spot for the Venus of Willendorf. A four-​plus inch Goddess figurine dating back a few 25,000 years is now representing the Paleolithic on my arm. If I knew her zip code I could do all «303» and stuff… I will have to look into that.
I am going to die with this image on my arm. It is not just a flower or skull or letter, it is a one off…
James Morgan is a Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design graduate. He is trained in the arts; Color Theory, Drawing, Painting, Design and Art history. He started drawing as a kid, and not coloring books drawing but really DRAWING. What he brings to skin is amazing.
My Venus of Willendorf has healed on schedule. I am a bit of a germaphobe, and the studio was fastidiously clean and gloves were changed often and every time he left my arm for any reason. Seriously, I notice this stuff. My after-​care is good.
I can be known as the «Girl with the Venus Tattoo».

I was tattooed over the weekend by Brandon and my husband was tattooed by James. We both couldn’t be happier. Super clean shop, gorgeous work and a friendly, professional bunch of guys. Its nice to have the phenomenal artistry without the attitude of so many other shops. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood. We already have plans on what to get done next!
