Bloom Salon Plus

Brian Hair is my stylist at Bloom. I have been seeing him since 2012 and have loved how my hair color and hair cuts have been every visit. I’ve had highlights since I was 12 years old, and have been to numerous stylists over the years. He does the best highlights by far. I have thin, fine hair that has been turning whiter and more grey the past 20 years. I don’t do low lights because the highlights blend the grey and white hair very nicely. You can’t even see my white or grey hair. Brian is passionate about cutting hair, too, and he pays very close attention to detail.

Brian is also very nice and fun to see every 10 weeks. He’s from Louisiana originally, and we love to chat about good Cajun food and New Orleans. He’s a pleasure to be around sitting in the salon chair for a few hours. I highly recommend him.
Lastly, he works late some evenings, so my hair appointments are easy to fit in with my busy work schedule.

Mandy Johnson is PHENOMENAL. Hands down the best stylist I have ever worked with. I am always so nervous to change my hair, and have had my share of horror stories from other stylists and salons. When it comes to finding a new salon, I would rather get my teeth drilled on than have a bad haircut. I can’t believe how lucky I was to stumble upon Mandy at Bloom Salon Plus. I am never EVER disappointed with the results she gives me. If something isn’t totally perfect, she adjusts and completely satisfies me before I leave the salon. She has taken extra hours past my allotted appointment time to make sure I was happy. Have you ever been to a salon and had a crazy idea and your stylist allows you to make horrible hair choices without explaining that your hair type may not handle a certain color/​cut, or your current hair color won’t take your new color as perfectly as you’d like? I decided to take a risk and go a direction I had never gone with my hair, and Mandy explained the process thoroughly, honestly, and patiently. It was the first time someone had ever been totally candid with me and made suggestions to compromise the unrealistic Pinterest dreams I had for my hair, and she continues to give me the best hair I have ever had! She is also the first stylist I’ve ever been to who is suggestive with products she uses without being pushy about the sale. It goes to show that she genuinely cares about her clients’ satisfaction and not just the money.
If her talent in the salon wasn’t enough to write a review for her, she is one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have only been to see her a handful of times now and she remembers everything I have ever told her about myself. I have become so comfortable with her personality and completely trust her judgment in every way. Everyone in the salon is so warm and welcoming and I don’t plan on letting anyone else touch my hair!

Anna is by far the best wax person in all of Denver! I’ve been following her for 7+ years and she’s fantastic. She’s a perfectionist and my eyebrows definitely need her professional expertise! Anna also is quick and somehow it doesn’t hurt as much which is huge. I recommend her to all my friends. She’s great!

The lady at the front was very nice and even gave me a 20% discount since I work in the same building so that put a smile on my face!

Michelle is a hair rockstar, and is my go to for my wild, heavy, thick, curly hair. She is a great and creative colorist and several of my hairstylist friends always compliment the texture and movement she achieves.
The other stylists at Bloom are always around to offer a word of suggestion if she and I don’t know where to go in a cut or color, and it is a very collaborative and supportive environment.
I’ve had nail services done here as well, and Patti and Anna did great jobs.

I would not go anywhere else for a haircut… Richard Robb is the best ever… even now I live in dallas, I have to come to Denver every 6 weeks for my haircut… HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!

Brian Hair is awesome! I went in with blonde highlights that have grown out with roots, I wanted to try a different technique for highlights instead of foils and ended up trying balayage. Brian was extremely thorough and explained every part of the process to me, so that I would be comfortable and know what to expect.
Beyond his warm personality, he is extremely talented! My hair turned out beautiful! He did a great job giving my hair dimension with highlights and lowlights. I was nervous trying a new person after having the same hair stylist since I was five years old, but I can confidently say that I will be going back to Brian for as long as I live in Denver.

I am writing this review for Michelle Haynes who is a stylist there. She is a fabulous stylist — I h ave followed her though several salons and whenever I do to someone else I regret it. Highly recommend her but book in advance as she books a few weeks out :)

I’ve been going to Michelle Haynes for years now and she is such an amazing stylist. She is so friendly, making you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. Michelle offers a creative expertise when I’m trying to decide on what to do with my hair. Her helpful insight is very appreciated. I never leave disappointed!

Brian is wonderful! I went in with a careless coloring job by another salon hoping to get it fixed by someone who knew what they were doing. I got it ! He is very knowledgeable and kind as well. He took the time to gain an accurate understanding of my coloring history and hopes during the consultation and delivered exactly what he said I would get. This turned out to be the key to my heart as predictability/​follow through has not always been my experience when receiving beauty services. I’ll be a loyal customer as long as I’m in Denver!

Richard Robb is the VERY best! I don’t live here, but I travel here to get my hair done. He’s the best in the West, and he’s very pleasant, too. It’s an all-​around pleasant experience, worth the money, worth the wait, worth whatever to have your hair done the way you want.

Tricia Goodman rocks my color!!! Balayage… ooo lala, she does an awesome job. All I hear for weeks is «who did your color». Been seeing Tricia for years, and always a fun time and great hair!!!

Wow, where to start. I took my wife to this salon for her birthday and this is what she had to say: This salon is THE BEST SALON I have ever been to! And yes, I have visited salons and purchased color services in places like DC and LA. Brian Hair is a genius. I brought in a picture of an ombré hair color that I wanted (I have dark brown hair) and he did it. He literally just looked at the picture for reference and executed a gradual fade to golden blonde ombré. It was incredible. The entire process took over two hours (because I wanted the tips just a little lighter and he happily reapplied the dye at the ends) and I have never been happier with my look. The color is beautiful and gradual and incredible with no line of demarcation. Want great (and I mean great) hair? Give Brian a bit of your time at Bloom Salon Plus and have him replicate a look you’ve only dreamed of – he’ll make it a fabulous reality.

Brian did a fantastic color correction on my hair Friday. It was a horrible, box-​colored Feria dye job that I should have never done. I lightened it a bit before I came, and for the first time in 17 years my hair is my natural color. Next time we’re doing bayalage, which I’m super stoked about. He spent a lot of time with me and getting me to this color was nothing short of magic. I highly recommend Brian and am thrilled to find such a fantastic hairdresser since I recently moved to Denver.

Brian Hair is a miracle worker!
I went in with a botched color job that another salon did to my hair (read my review on Lavish Salon for more details) and Brian worked steadily on my hair for six hours, staying late to make sure I left with the hair I want. When I asked him in all his 25 years of color experience what was his most challenging corrective color and he told me my hair was his biggest challenge. You should have seen what a job he had cut out for him trying to fix the epic fail of a dye job Lavish Salon did. He did a great job! People can’t even tell it is a corrective color. Thank you, Brian! You saved me from more tears and sleepless nights. I will be a customer of yours going forward and for as long as I live here in Denver!
As for the salon experience overall, everyone was very kind and didn’t say anything even slightly negative about my hair avoiding making me feel worse about it. Everyone was friendly, professional and positive. It didn’t feel like my first time in the salon. I felt as though I had been going there a long time.
The salon is clean and the staff is attentive. As most salons do, they offered me wine, water or coffee and reading material. They even offered to go out and pick me up some lunch since I had been there for so long.
If you decide to give this salon a try, ask for Brian and tell him Michelle with the botched two-​tone color sent you!

I had a voucher for a shellac manicure for this place. It took me a moment to find this place, as I haden’t looked up the salon’s webiste, which clearly states where they are located and how to get there. They are in the «garden level» (think below street level) in Cherry Creek Square. Don’t think that because they are on the garden level, they should be overlooked. The salon was clean, bathroom was clean and the area where I had my manicure was clean. I was greeted immediatel yand after a few moment wait, taken back for my service. I was given a great shellac manicure and a nice glass of wine to enjoy with my service. I was provided with great service in a nice atmosphere that I decided to book another one for the next month. I don’t remember who my technician was because the service was done in September. I will definitely be back in the future.

I LOVE this place! Richard Robb is a genius with hair! If you haven’t been… you’re missing out!
