Specialties
Café Colore is not only a great place to get a good lunch salad, pasta, or personal pizza, but we also offer a variety of dinner entrees such as veal, seafood or steak. We do take out as well as delivery (within a limited range) and are also a great place for special events. We have a very nice patio in Writer’s Square as well as our indoor seating, and we are capable of doing large catering orders for delivery or pick up as well.
History
Established in 1995.
This family owned café was originally started by the Momo family along with Cucina Colore and Pizza Colore Express. They were famous for their «art of making pizzas in color, using a pesto, red, and white sauce,» and then grew with the popularity of their pastas and salads as well. It is now owned by Keith Arnold and Stephanie Bonin, who also own Duo in the Highlands area and Olivea at 17th and Clarkson. In the beginning, you could actually see Keith behind the line cooking pizzas himself, but the kitchen is now run by a fantastic manager by the name of Jose Luis. The genreal manager, Amy Martin, has been there almost six years now, and is at the café almost daily.
Meet the Manager
Amy M.
Manager
I have been working in the restaurant industry for 14 years now, starting as a hostess when I was 17. I learned how to wait tables working at a Carrabbas in Aurora, CO and then worked my way through college doing so at various restaurants in Durango, CO. My management experience comes mostly from a great little café in Tulsa, where I worked side by side with one of Oklahoma’s leading restaurant entrepreneurs. Since then, I have moved back to my home state of Colorado and have now been at Café Colore for 6 years this December. I absolutely love it here and feel that Café Colore is the «Cheers» of downtown Denver and I try to run it as such. We pride ourselves in our friendly service and great food, and with a large majority of our business being regular customers, we do our best to learn names, repeat orders, special dates, and special needs. I also enjoy the entire staff here as we treat each other like family and are close like one too. This is truly a great place to be!
