Chocolate Spokes Bike Studio

This is one of those rare bike shops that you walk into and immediately like the vibe and people working there. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything from building custom bikes to chocolate. They were the best price for a fork install and they got it done extremely fast (same day) when I stressed that I needed it sooner than later to commute to and from work every day. I’m definitely going back and the chocolate they recommended was also damn good. 5 star shop for sure!

Ok. Didn’t buy anything but AJ (I believe) was very helpful and friendly. I’ll be back to support this shop even though it is out of my way. If I get a bike somewhere else, I’ll be here to get it tuned up.

My spokes came loose on my ride into work and I needed quick service. Chocolate Spokes is near my office and I decided to give them a spin. I’m glad that I did. Mac took good care of me and provided a quick turnaround and at a reasonable price. Well done.

Super friendly helpful staff! I really enjoyed the customer service that was provided. The owner even gave me a tour of his shop while one of the employees fixed my flat tire. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I will be back.

This is my favorite bike shop. they are always so so helpful and kind. Excellent customer service. Also very responsibility priced. If you ever need help with you bike you should definitely take it to this shop.

Gregory, i think was his name, is awesome. Super passionate about bikes, all types. He makes custom roadie frames and im a DH/​AM rider but he still hooked me up. Great great great guy that will help you get all those high end parts that 0 bike stores sell. Got a townie/​beater? He’ll hook that up too, support you local bike shop, not the big guys.

This place has good old fashioned customer service that will make you happy. There is not much worse than a bike shop that lacks customer service and an approachable staff. That will not be your experience at Chocolate Spokes. These guys are so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I promise, they probably won’t let you leave until you and your bike are happy as can be. In addition to having a of a wealth of knowledge on vintage bikes, current trends, and custom made rides, these guys also tune skis and boards. What a great resource to have in the neighborhood. Don’t go there expecting to look at 100 bikes made by 20 manufacturers. They are not a large, stocking dealer, but they will tune, repair, build a custom-​made frame, or order custom parts for you and you are going to leave here happy. I agree with all of the other reviewers… the place is great.

I moved to denver, stupidly without a bike. Stumbling upon chocolate spokes was probably the greatest thing to happen to me. They helped find me a bike that fit my needs and within my budget. Their staff is super friendly and really knows their stuff. For all of my bike needs, it’s a one stop shop.

This is the best bike shop I have been to, ever. All the staff are super kind and helpful. The bike shop is POC-​friendly, queer-​friendly, woman-​friendly (even for people who don’t consider themselves serious riders), and has the tools and accessories to meet most casual riders’ needs. Gregory is a master craftsman and makes his own bow ties in addition to the bike frames! And they have quite the selection of craft vegan chocolate bars.

This is the best bike shop in the city and I would not go anywhere else. Greg and Gabby are so helpful no matter what they are working on, I always feel like a priority. Greg also made some community donations and made a big difference in the lives of those that live and work in the city. Thank you for all you do!

Chocolate Spokes is literally 100 feet from my front door. I took my bike there for the first time 2 years ago when the shop was in the very small, adjacent building that is now just a work shop. I’m so happy they have done well and expanded. I took my bike there about a month ago for a tune up and they were done with it a day before they originally said. It also needed less work and I ended up paying $ 20 less than I was quoted. Today I wanted some accessories added to my bike that I didn’t know how to install. Only an hour and $ 15 later, I had my bike back. They are so helpful and I never hesitate to go there or even just stop in and ask a question. Please check them out. You will be glad you did.

Very clean, friendly and open. Mac taught me how to change my own tire, and made me feel very comfortable, comfortable enough to ask my silly questions. Will be back for sure!

Let me ask you this, dear reader: How many bike shops do you go to that, upon NOT finding what you were looking for, will call up the Instagram feed of another local shop (in this case Oh Wheelie!) to see if they carry what you seek? Huh? How many?
Gregory is the bomb. Plus I love his bow ties. And he was patient while I tried out a couple bikes, ignoring the massive rip in the ass of my jeans that happened minutes before I entered his store. I ended up buying a nice lock set there as well as some chocolate. The space is truly lovely — so well lit. The attitude is nil. THANK THE BIKE GODESSES. I am so over the whole ‘tude that emanates from some of these shops (hello that shop on Old South Pearl that I am trying desperately to forget) — I refuse to give them any business. I am not a small woman. But I LOVE to ride my bike. And that’s what matters, right? Spreading bike love? Chocolate Spokes spreads the love and then some. I am SO HAPPY they are in the area. Go.

I love this shop. Always lifts my spirits to go in. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. So happy to see the new shop! It is beautiful.

I just moved into the neighborhood and decided to stop by and check out the shop. Gregory was quick to diagnose the issue with my bike and immediately made the fix. With a background in architecture, his knowledge of the neighborhood was very interesting and impressive. Not only was the service excellent, but the guys in the shop were very friendly and extremely helpful.
I will definitely go back to the shop and would recommend others to do the same so that we may support a great, local business.

Gregory is an a wonderful person to talk to about bicycles. He has helped me with my entire fleet, including my mountain bike, single speed town bike and vintage cruiser that was salvaged from a dumpster. All are in great working condition thanks to the resources at Chocolate Spokes.
I admire their creative solutions to a saddle lock and that they salvage parts and can reuse them on other bikes (with owner’s consent, which I was overjoyed to oblige).

THIS. IS. A. BIG. DEAL!
I love all my pedaling brothers and sisters but some can be a little off putting with their… ummmm…personalities? So, what is a girl with 3 bikes and an aversion to to bike snobbery to do?
Well, now (since yesterday), I go to Chocolate Spokes. I will go there because the owner seems to understand (and support!) that people use bikes for all sorts of reasons. Does the shop have the biggest inventory? No, but he can order anything you need. Does he have a variety of new bikes to peruse? No, but he can build you a frame! I will go here because I support local, small businesses that are community oriented — and this one is.
AND CHOCOLATE.

Excellent service. Patient, explanatory, and very reasonably priced. Helped me switch out a rear single speed free wheel to fixed and explained everything along the way. Highly recommend Gregory and his shop.

I went to Chocolate Spokes on a friends recommendation (she’d bought chocolate there, never any bike parts or bike related things). The reason I went to them even though she’d never been there for bike related things was because of the customer service. I’d checked out a lot of the local bike shops around town when I was searching for a bike to buy and got treated horribly. Can I say bike elitists/​snobs to the max?
At Chocolate Spokes I was treated with respect. He was friendly and did not trot any bike snobbery in my face. He built my bike in 2 days! I was really surprised. He took the time to tell me about the process of building my bike and minor details about about the type of bike I’d bought. I was a newb, so I really appreciated his educational piece about my bike and the fact that he didn’t mistreat me just for being new to the world of bicycling.
Chocolate Spokes has great customer service, great prices and quick turn around on fixes and builds. No bike snottiness/​snobbery/​newb judgement here. I highly recommend it.

Super cool little bike shop. Got a recommendation from a friend to check it out to fix my brand new bike as I was having a small issue with my front derailers. Gregory was able to get me in pretty quickly next day, and took 30mins of his time to not only look at my front derailers, but also my back setup and helped educate me on what was causing the problem and what I can do to make minor adjustments on it until the next time I need to come in.
Really nice guy, quick service, and ended up being cheaper than I thought ($ 15) — and I am pretty cheap. I will definitely make this my go-​to bike shop. I don’t know if he’ll read this, but thanks for the great service and quick fix-​up, Gregory!
P. S. He uses Square, which makes Chocolate Spokes SO much more badass than it already is.
