We went at 9:20 p.m. on Thursday night during the Summer hours. The man working there said that he was closing because he didn’t want to serve any more ice cream.

Great place but they never stay open their entire posted hours. I’ve been there 3 times and they say they’re open but the doors are locked. I just left and the cashier said«oh sorry we’re closed(giggle)» Ya kinda rude. Coming from working in a customer my entire life, very unprofessional!

We walked in to be greeted with an overwhelming scent of a dirty mopped floor that muffled the waffle cone smell. I love to see sistas rockin’ a natural afro but not while serving up ice cream with no hair net or gloves on. The young man working with her also did not have hair net or gloves on. Stood in line trying to concentrate on what yummy creation I wanted and ended up leaving because the dirty mop smell was just too much. The store«appeared» clean but it wasn’t. :(I will have to go to Northfield or maybe they will put one on Welton Street.

So if you are in the car right now and have a choice head to the Cold Stone in North Stapleton in Northfield by the Harkins Theater less than a mile away. I love Cold Stone but this location is FILTHY. It could use a super deep cleaning. Come on it’s the middle of winter folks. Put the staff to work on those snowy days when you have very few customers. Or better yet, finally hire a commercial cleaning crew that can make this place sparkle. That said the staff is nice.

Wow. I never meet an ice cream place I didn’t like. The bathroom was my first stop. filthy! There were two young girls working. neither of which greeted us or anyone else that came in the store. They were out of chocolate ice cream and dang near out of at least 5 other flavors. They also didn’t have very many flavors to offer. One girl seemed like she was having an issue working the cash register and the other was more concerned with what was going on outside rather then paying attention to guest. As she was making everyones ice cream she kept getting her hands in the ice cream and her hair was all over the place. The wait was ridiculous as well, but I really wanted a sno cone. After waiting in line for about 25 min I asked for the sno cone and she replies with«oh, I think we’re out». I wasted 25 minutes of my life in that place!!!

I’ve never in my life disliked ice cream, but my mint chocolate chip with brownie bites just didn’t do it for me. The brownie was very gooey and tasted kind of raw. And the«kids» behind the counter were nice but I was a little bit annoyed by how long we had to wait. I think I’ll stick with Lick’s — the best ice cream on the planet. :)

This Cold Stone location is a bit filthy. I’ve been here a few times and each time there are napkins all over the floors or the place smelled like a dirty rag. The customer service here is pretty poor. They seem to lack efficiency here. There is always a line at this location because the service is slow and they seem to be unorganized. As for the ice cream, it’s good but overpriced in my opinion. Nothing really special.

Horrible Customer Service Experience at this location. I went to Cold Stone on 6÷28÷13 to pick up a birthday cake. When I paid for it, the cashier gave me a scratch-off ticket. I scratched it off and printed on the ticket was«You’ve won Cirque du Soliel Amaluna tickets valued at $ 170. See cashier.» I took the ticket back to the cashier and she said she«had no idea» what to do with it and I should come back another time and ask the manager. I came back later that day and another cashier told me, «apparently we’re doing some kind of promotion but I don’t know anything about it.» He asked his assistant manager who also knew nothing about it. I waited a few days and called again and asked for the general manager. She apparently couldn’t be bothered enough to talk to me so she had a cashier call me and give directions to a website. That website had nothing about free tickets(but did offer $ 10 off of a ticket) and led me nowhere. The only explanation I got from Cold Stone was to «email the Canadian promotion company that was in charge of the promotion.» I emailed the promotion company but so far, I received no response. Gee, thanks for the $ 170 tickets, Cold Stone!

I love this cold stone because they offer JWU students a nice discount! On the sad side, the girls working are kind of dry in personality. They were rather uninformed of the JWU discount and weren’t very personable at all. One was new and irritated that she may have to sing if I tiped her. Lucky for her, my husband pulled me out before I got attitudey with her about it. Still, the ice cream was awesome and I will come back.

So dangerous that this Cold Stone is within stones throw of my place. Cold Stone is all about what you add to the ice cream. The beau is a super lover of peanut butter and chocolate. I asked the kid working behind the counter for some peanut butter concoction and he gave me an award winning combination. The beau was very satisfied!

Sure, it’s chain mediocre ice cream, but their creations are damn tasty. You don’t go to Cold Stone for plain, pure ice cream anyway.

Cute location, friendly staff(although sometimes under staffed) We went here with our groupons and had a perfectly fine time! The location was clean both time, staff was happy to create our wonderful treats and didn’t bat an eye when we whipped out our groupon to pay. I didn’t have any of the troubles others have spoken about, location was clean and well maintained. It is in the middle of a little circle at the end of the new«main st» in stapleton.

I nearly forgot to post this one. This is by far the worst cold stone I have ever been to. It was completely disgusting! There was melted ice cream all over the counters along with«mixins». It looked like they didn’t believe in cleaning nor sanitation. Also I noticed that some of their ice creams had dates on them as old as two weeks prior, I thought they made it fresh daily?

I love Cold Stone, but this particular location has it issues with bad customer service. But my particular problem tops them all. I recently went to this location to get some good ice cream on a hot night. I ordered and recieved my order with ok customer service. But was to happen has scarred me for life on cold stone creamery. While enjoying my ice cream I noticed that it seemed there was some freezer burn in my ice cream… not good quality… it gets worse… my next bite included a piece of chewed bubblegum… yes some employee literally spit their gum in the ice cream while it was being made. Yep… ruined me for life, I have always had a fear of people messing with my food, and this confirmed the fact. I wrote corporate headquarters about the issue… and it seems they will follow the way of Best Buy and not follow through with customer complaints. Avoid this place until it is either under new management, or just plain gone…

I guess my standards are high for Cold Stone and this location never even came close to what I expected! 1) It was filthy when we came in 2) Several inexperienced girls working the line and one man older than them working as the manager referring to them as «his girls» 3) All the teenagers behind the counter talking to other teenagers in the store and not acknowledging us until their friends were gone. 4) After waiting for them to mix the ice cream treat we were so looking forward to for at least 5 minutes they handed us this gross soupy mess that was about a half inch of filling the cup. Gross! Who wants soupy ice cream!!! It was so mixed together there were no distinct part of it… just soup. When I asked the manager why they cup wasn’t even full and told him that at home in and around Seattle they don’t mix it to death and they definitely fill the cup he just told me he doesn’t let his girls do that and that he runs a very tight ship there. Then he didn’t even hand us our cups, he just left them behind the counter where he was and walked away… we had to reach over the register to get them. HORRIBLE representation of what is so typically a service oriented and great experience! Don’t go to this location if you can avoid it! Just go to the grocery store and get a pint and split it… waaaay better.
