In 1997 Ted Tapparo moved his concrete and framing business to Colorado where he provided concrete, framing, demolition and excavation services throughout the Denver Metro area and Summit County.

Ted Tapparo’s extensive construction background, and his strong relationships with expert designers and structural engineers, make Crawlspaces 2 Basements the leader in crawlspace conversion. This powerful combination ensures that Ted’s customers receive the maximum return on investment.

Nearly 10 years ago, Ted completed his first crawlspace conversion at a small home in Denver. Since that time, Ted has become a specialist in crawlspace conversion and has completed over 70 crawlspace to basement conversions to date with many more in the works. Ted launched Crawlspaces 2 Basements in 2010 to help Colorado homeowners increase their living space and improve the value of their homes.

Business Owner

Ted Tapparo brings to every project the knowledge and expertise he gained through more than 30 years in residential and commercial construction. Ted began as an apprentice framer in Southern California in 1977. By the mid-​1980s, Ted had worked his way up to Site Supervisor for large residential and commercial projects. These early experiences taught Ted the value of hard work and the unique joy of exceeding his customer’s expectations.

In 1987, Ted earned his General Contractor’s license and started a small concrete and framing company. Ted moved his business to Colorado in 1997, providing concrete, framing, demolition and excavation services. Through these projects, Ted has earned a strong reputation for his knowledge, expertise and reliability.
