Crowne Plaza Denver Downtown

Ugh. No phone for days. No internet. 2 floors under construction with one elevator out of service for workers only but not marked. Tv remote in 2 rooms not working. Yet the manager isn’t onsite to address issues. Ask for a 1 hour grace period for checkout and they ask for $ 20. Frankly I want $ 20 per day back for the phone $ 20 for the tv not working and $ 20 for the Internet

My boyfriend turned 24 on Thursday, so to celebrate I booked us a hotel room downtown at the Crowne Plaza for Friday night. Check in was a breeze and they placed us on the 21^st floor so we had an amazing view. I ordered us the romance in the city package and was quite surprised with how lovely it was! They asked when I checked in when I would want my package delivered and I said 6:30 as we had dinner reservations at 7:45. The package includes 6 chocolate covered strawberries, champagne and breakfast in bed. We got the strawberries on time but the champagne was no where to be found. The package was a surprise for my bf but when the champagne didn’t show up I had to call the front desk in front of him to inquire about it. Which ruined that part of the surprise. However they did eventually (30 mins after I called) arrive with the champagne. We had to chug it as we had to get to dinner. Our breakfast the next morning came correctly and on time however the latest delivery time was 9 a.m. Which is rather early when check out isn’t until 12 and we had been out late the night before. I would go back as the price was affordable, the room was clean and we enjoyed the Romance package. If all goes well timing and deliver wise it’s a super special night out!

Ok so first thing we booked a room and the picture and the room we got were completed different in size but Bobby at the front desk took care of everything he was very helpful rooms are clean the restaurants have pretty good they nice bar you can have a drink at. But there is a lot of homeless ppl sleeping right across the street from the hotel which I know the hotel can’t control that but just be prepared for that.

I’ve stayed two nights here before and attended a summer pool party in this fun and adventurous hotel! The service is so attentive and fast, the catered food is really good and the outside pool is so much fun. There are so many things to do here and no better way than to start your morning receiving some delicious cupcakes, muffins or bagels from the friendly staff. We are lucky to have a Crowne Plaza hotel in the middle of downtown Denver, because it’s in the middle of everything. You can literally get out of your bed and go on a nightly stroll on 16^th Street Mall and get back into your room before sunrise. I think it was so much fun to stay here. We had different companies cater to our every need. I enjoy the Einstein Bros Bagels and the morning orange juice served to us. The stay was phenomenal!

Stayed for two nights (²⁄₂₅ — ²⁄₂₇). Great hotel and amenities! I will be back. No problems with parking and the ongoing renovations. Breakfast buffet was great and well worth the price paid.

In the positive side it was very convenient for work. The are around the hotel was pretty epic too. Its like a love hate relationship. I guess you can’t have it all.
It is a nice hotel I just ran into unpleasant situations.

We got the room very cheap through Hotwire, but this is not the 4 star hotel that Hotwire claimed it was. Dirty, ripping carpets peeled off the floor. The shower was lukewarm at best, the heat rattled like a model t going down a stretch of rough road.

Staff was awesome and great location. Not worth 300 a night tho.

I had the opportunity to stay here because I was in Denver attending a convention for my business.
The overall experience was wonderful, comfortable and convenient.
* They offer shuttle service to and from the airport. It runs on the half hour.
* Check in was smooth and easy. The staff were very friendly and personable.
* Lobby was clean and smelt good. They have a comfy sitting are with a fireplace that was perfect during the winter storm.
* Rooms were easy to access
* Our room was spacious, clean and the bedding was super comfortable. So comfortable I wanted to ask where I can buy one of their pillows. So fluffy
* The restaurant offers a nice breakfast buffet with waffles in addition to regular menu items. We had a delicious chicken caesar wrap for dinner that was flavorful. It was nice to have a healthier option while traveling.
* The location has many fast food restaurants and an outback restaurant, liquor store and gas station within walking distance. It was during a winter storm while we visited and decided to venture out since it was going to take food delivery too long to reach us. It was so convenient to have restaurants close by.
* housekeeping was quiet we didn’t even know she was cleaning rooms around us until we ran into her while going down for breakfast.
* convention center is attached to the hotel which made taking materials back to my room from the convention convenient.
* Convention are offers many rooms, restrooms, and water stations in case you get thirsty.
We would recommend staying here and this will be my place to stay if my company offers to hold their convention there in the future.
The only reason we didn’t give them 5 stars is because it would be nice if they had a small gift shop with post cards and souvenirs and the vending machines need to be serviced since 3 cans of Coke got punctured trying to be dispensed. Spraying Coke all over my husbands jacket. Kind of a sticky mess.

This place has two things going for it — its fantastic location and the more-​than-​gracious staff.
It’s basically in the middle of 16^th street mall, so everything touristy is walkable. The staff is great and very accommodating, but there’s only ‘so far’ good service can take you.
As you roam the halls, you’ll notice a yellow tinge on the walls and in the air. Likely accompanied by a stale smell. I understand antiques can be hard to restore and maintain; I can only imagine how tough it must be in building form.
Toilet was running when we swiped the room key. Used the potty once (like, number one) and and the floodgates immediately opened. Not pleasant.
Parking sucks and is pricey, but I’ve gotten used to this with downtown Denver hotels. $ 25+ per day. Snag this place on priceline, you’ve gotten a great deal — otherwise there’s not much to look forward to

I stayed here several nights for a conference and had a lovely experience! Each staff member I encountered was kind, helpful, and attentive. We had four to our room and requests for additional items (shampoos, coffees, etc) and separate checks, were quickly and easily accommodated.
The room and beds, while on the smaller side (we did have four adults and the beds were doubles!) were comfortable and met our sleep and workspace needs. As another reviewer noted, the rooms have a lot of outlets (many with additional USB ports), which was really nice since we all had laptops, phones, etc. Downstairs in the lobby there are work tables next to the small restaurant and also a business center with complimentary computers and printing services. We didn’t have any problems with the free wifi. One slight issue was the walls seemed thin so it was very easy to here others talking in the rooms around us, but we weren’t in the room a lot so it wasn’t a huge bother — at least for me.
I did not purchase food here, but friends of mine ate many meals at the restaurant and there is ala carte food available for purchase (quite expensive, but convenient). There’s a 7 – 11 about a block away on 16^th street for snacks, plus lots of coffee shops and restaurants, so there’s a variety of easy food options.
I would definitely stay here again. The location, staff, and facilities were great for the price ($ 150/​night)!

I am giving this 3-​star hotel a ⁵⁄₅. I’m not in any way stating this is a five-​star hotel! However, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and feel the hotel had a couple of odd reviews in the past with complaints that were either clearly not the hotel’s issues or things I just didn’t experience.
Staff get a star. They were all polite and attentive. The front desk greeted me with a smile and seemed to work to get me a good room. The bartender was great and restaurant staff nice.
The room gets a star and a half. This wasn’t a big room but it was good for my business traveler needs. There were plenty of outlets for my various electronic needs and were well placed (a huge pet peeve for hotels). The desk chair was a desk chair — a novel concept I know, but again another pet peeve for hotels. The maid staff cleaned the room well, and timely. The wifi was free and decent. The bed was the only thing which wasn’t ideal as it had a little concave bow. The sheets and comforter were fine but the pillows were great. I also had a fridge which seemed to be a complaint by people.
Price is a star and a half. I paid around $ 150 a night with hotels around me being a lot ($ 60-​$ 100+) more for the same nights. I didn’t feel I sacrificed anything, but I had no need for, nor did I check out things like the pool, which may have warranted a higher price.
Location is a star. I was right off 16^th street and close to everything needed.
A number of reviews spoke about the homeless and the price for parking. I didn’t park, so I can’t talk about that (but parking in most hotels is a mess in big cities) and this review didn’t take parking price into account. The homeless are everywhere in Denver and seemed to camp out where they could. It didn’t seem to be the hotel’s issue and they didn’t seem to be on hotel property so I’m not going to ding the hotel for something that isn’t in their control!
Great hotel, would stay here again for sure.

While the staff is absolutely fantastic the hotel beyond the lobby is very dated and in dire need of renovation. Owners are exploiting the fact that the hotel is situated extremely close to the Denver Convention Center. The worst part of my experience is that I paid more than I would have paid at the Ritz-​Carlton (block rooms for the conference I was attending). Needless to mention I wasn’t very happy to fork-​out $ 350+ a night for this property. I should have headed the old adage of the «early bird gets the worm.»

It’s good for the price. Located in the middle of everything. Not a 5 star but has everything you need except a jacuzzi.

The Crown Plaza in downtown Denver is a DUMP! They say that they are redoing the rooms in November. Not a day too soon, don’t stay here until it is done… even then you may want to stay some place else. They say that the lobby has been redone, but if that is how they are doing the whole hotel… skip it! The first rooms we were offered were dirty and by elevators and by service staff rooms. Then we were told all they had left was handicapped rooms, no better. The staff member at the front went to a manager but told us there was no other rooms.
This is the worst $ 224.10 (+$ 27 for parking) that I have ever stayed in! I will never stay in another Crown Plaza hotel again.

In a pinch due to a crazy remodeling situation at my place, I needed a place to stay for a few days and wanted to stay somewhat close to home. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. No frills but quite comfortable and very clean. It is situated near the Pavilions and some great restaurants, if you are looking for a place simply to end the day in a comfortable environment, be sure to check this place out. One of the most reasonable prices you will find for downtown!

We got off to a bit of a rocky start, but these guys did everything they could to make it better. I would highly recommend. The staff is friendly and they are eager to make the stay in Denver as pleasant as possible. So far a great job all around.

Perfect location! We were in town for New Year’s Eve, so the firework show was literally down the street.
This Crowne Plaza is a short walk away from the 16^th Street Mall, which is a popular outdoor mall. Full of a huge variety of stores and restaurants. It is also located near the main highways out of Denver.
Our room was large and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Something nice for those of us who do not live near mountains.
The service was quick and courteous. I called the front desk for some tissues (it was really cold there) and robes. Both were brought up in just a few minutes.
The bar area service was slow, so they definitely need more staff.
All in all, I would recommend a stay here.

I got a last minute priceline deal for the Crowne Plaza and had an A-​OK experience.
The Great:
+ The staff. Super friendly and everyone seemed to have a sense of humor.
+ Free Internet (and fast enough to stream video)
The Average:
o Decent room layout and plenty of outlets and lighting.
o Location is pretty good, being about 1.5 blocks off the 16^th St. Mall. However, there’s not much right around it (parking garages).
o OK little bar area with some decent local beers on tap.
o Average towels and linens.
The Poor:
— The Mattress was soft and a bit lumpy. Probably time for some new ones.
Overall A-​OK and worth the price I paid.

Well, I am giving this hotel 5 stars primarily because of the value. Considering the location, I thought the price was extremely fair and because of the price, I had lowered my expectations. Well, I didn’t need to lower anything. The room was large, very clean, quiet, and contained all of the normal accessories. Wifi was free and worked great.
I added the free breakfast to my reservation. It is a choice of either a free buffet or $ 10 off your breakfast order. I hit the buffet pretty late and some of the food showed it, but I wasn’t put off by it. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, potatos, and some sort of burrito. Along with breads, fruits, cereals. Service was excellent even though I had a little trouble communicating due to my pounding head. They have country music playing in the breakfast room… well at least it wasn’t christmas music.
The checkin was perfect, they have two kinds of ice water available in the lobby. I think it is about 2 blocks from the 16^th street mall. Very close to the Yard House.
I didn’t use it, but it looked like they had self parking in their garage. Wasn’t free, but I think their website shows the price. We either walked, took the tram, or über and got around nicely.
Frankly, I just don’t have any negatives. I will definitely return the next time I am in Denver.
