Denver Carpet and Hardwood

Wanted to hire these guys because of their review in the Adams Cty 5-​star rating booklet. I’ve now submitted 2 requests for a quote via their website over the past week and haven’t gotten an email or a phone call.
I guess they are so busy they don’t need more business?

I’m extremely disappointed with Regina. She cancelled my appointment 4 days ago and stated she would call me back the next day. I left her a message the next day, still no call back. Very disappointment and will not use this company for flooring needs. Seems like she is too busy these days.

Just had our floors done by them. Absolutely couldn’t be happier. The owner of the company and his wife came by the place, measured and gave a very fair estimate. They came by again to walk us through some options and to explain how the process would go in detail. The day the crew came to do the work, the owner M*ke was there first waiting for them at 7am, then introduced them to me and set the expectations for the day. They told us it would take 3 days, however, they were done in a day. Under promise, over delivered… refreshing. The integrity these people have is 1 in a million and I wouldn’t hesitate to refer any one to them any time. On top of it all, we have carpet on our top floor and they gave us a hefty discount to clean the carpets… they also own Bullies Carpet Cleaning… I wish I could give 6 stars.

Our experience with Denver Carpet and Hardwood was mixed. Personality-​wise, Regina and Mike are super nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. We struggled a little when it came to the actual job we had for them.
We weren’t able to find anything in their inventory that we loved. My husband found an Armstrong laminate product online and Regina was able to order that for us, although she made it clear she’d never worked with the product before.
That inexperience came into play later. Not enough material was ordered initially because the manufacturer doesn’t make it clear that lining up the pattern requires more overage than with other materials. As a result, the material ran out about 90% through our project.
When it came time to settle up, we were surprised to find that the install estimate is based on material handling and not just on the size of the area to be covered. As a result, the additional material we ordered also came with an additional install fee.
We were also surprised to discover that the install was completely subcontracted. One of the reasons we were drawn to Denver Carpet and Hardwood is that they present themselves as a mom-​and-​pop operation, often doing the install themselves. At the very least I assumed that anyone who came out would be employees of theirs. Instead, the installers were a completely separate company.
In the end, we ended up being 12% over the original quote and 2 weeks past the original finish date. However we are thrilled with our new flooring!

I had this vendor install some carpet for me and they did an ok job. That’s not the issue. The issue is when I asked for one small bedroom to have rubber flooring installed for use as a personal gym, the BEST price they quoted me was $ 13.49 per square foot. I made the effort to google the cost of the materials and the most expensive price I could find was $ 3.14 per square foot for ½″ thick rubber flooring. It was the high end kind from Great Mats specialty flooring with the colored flecks. Anyway — buyer beware and price check material cost… as mine was nearly a 400% markup.
Even if that included installation, it’s still crazy expensive. I think I will order the flooring and roll it out myself. One YouTube instructional video away from a great gym floor!
