So, I woke up a few weeks ago with the worst low back pain in my life and could barely lie down, sit, or stand! I found Denver Chiropractic on Unilocal,and the reviews are all true. That morning, I called, made an appointment the same day, and was able to see Dr. Nick Shupe for a treatment. The front desk staff is friendly, the space feels safe and professional, and the doctors are magnificent at what they do. I expected to be layed up in bed for at least a week with this strange pain, but after just one hour at the clinic I was able to go back to work that same day! I’ve since followed up with another treatment, and hope to be back in again soon! Thanks a million guys! Y’all are miracle workers!

Dr Artichoker can fix anything!
I went to see him more than a year ago after a friend referred him. He fixed my back pain in no time flat by simply looking at my feet and sending me to his colleague Dr. Schoop to be fitted for orthotics — I never had to go back for chiropractic help with my back pain.
I just recently started having shoulder issues and had stopped Yoga due to pain. Dr Artichoker had it resolved in 2 sessions one with some deep massage and the second apt with Dry Needling.
I Highly recommend Dr. Artichoker after seeing several Chiropractors over the years I will not go to anyone else.
Next on my list is my Knee, it doesn’t feel good and it surely does not work like it used to. See you soon Trent!

These guys are incredible. I am in town for the thanksgiving holiday and had an accident which caused tremendous pain in my ribs. Looking for any relief, I called the office and the dr talked me through ways they may be able to help me. I went in for my appointment and left with much appreciated relief. They were thorough and gentle and talked me through all of the treatments and adjustments. I was able to enjoy my weekend in Denver thanks to their expert treatment!
I’ve seen many chiropractors over the years and can say with confidence that this office is the best of the best!

I would not recommend this place. I accompanied my fiancé to this clinic for 2 visits and was highly disappointed. The first visit went very well, Dr. Artichocker seemed extremely knowledge, caring, intuitive, etc. He spent an entire hour with my fiancé doing massage, electro stimulation, stretching, and dry needling. The only down sides seemed to be the doctor insisting that my faince try «Foundation Training» and come in for additional visits to go to his foundation training classes. Also, the front desk receptionist charged our card for the entier visit even though we explicitly told her that we believed our co-​pay ($ 35) would cover the visit and thats much less then the actual office visit of $ 79. We requested she only charge us the $ 35 co-​pay and if there was a remaining balance we would pay it. She didn’t listen which I found to be extremely sneaky and rude (bad customer service!!!).
Surprise, we were right and our insurance did cover it all except the $ 35 co-​pay. I called to ask if we could be sent the remaining balance in a check and was told by the receptionist that they only way the remaining money that we OVER PAID could be used is if we came in for another visit and they would apply it to the next office visit. How frustrating!
Our 2^nd visit was like night and day compared to our first visit. This time Dr. Artichocker did not see my fiancé until 25 min after the appointment time of 11am. They placed us in a room after having us wait 25 minutes over our allotted time, only to move us to another room because they had put us in a room that could not accommodate dry needling. Okay??? Next Dr. Artichocker comes in and immediately asks if my fiancé has singed up for foundation training. Pushy much!!! Dr. Artichocker this time spent MAYBE 25 min with my fiancé, did some dry needling for about 10 minutes, and some stretching for about 10 min, and sent us on our way. I was confused because we were paying for a FULL HOUR session however he started our secession late and ended it super early? Needless to say, we will NOT be returning. This place is all about appearances. They seemed to be good on our first visit but revealed their true colors upon the return visit. Look elsewhere!

Best Chiropractors in Denver! I love these guys! I have seen different doctors here and they are ALL very skilled in different techniques to get you feeling back to normal. They never rush through the visit and it never feels like a factory farm, as some other offices do. These doctors actually care about their patients and truly want to help them feel better! I highly recommend this practice to everyone!

Friendly front desk staff, amazing care, and a staff of doctors and interns that genuinely care about your recovery. I honestly couldn’t ask for more in a crew to help get me back on my feet.
Dr. Downing has shown an immense amount of dedication and compassion towards making sure I’m always comfortable during my treatments, also educated about how to improve my mobility and reduce future injuries. I went from walking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame on my first visit to almost full mobility within my first week of steady therapy and home exercises.
I start my first training exercise class with Dr. Artichoker in a few days and I can’t wait to not only regain full function of the areas I’m having trouble with, but also get on track to being more fit in general and I’m more than confident that these guys are the right place to do it.

I started coming here in April 2015 and I was miserable. I was having severe nagging neck pain from a fall on my head and shoulder that I had in November 2014.
My pain had become so bad that I was unable to sit at my desk, sit in cars, planes or do things that I used to be able to do normally. I would say I had pain for 8+ hours a day every single day of the week. I was miserable and frustrated, especially being an active 25 year old.
I started seeing Dr. Downing. She is amazing! You can tell she is super passionate about what she’s doing. I spent several months working with her every other week doing graston therapy and adjustments. My pain level improved a lot, but I wasn’t as pain free as I wanted to be. Dr. Downing graciously recommended that I switch to seeing Dr. Artichoker to try other therapy options she thought might work. That really showed me how much these people care about their patients here.
Dr. Artichoker spent about an hour with my during my first treatment with him in July and I immediately saw results from my first dry needling session with him. He made me feel extremely comfortable about having needles stuck into my muscles and neck, and always made sure my comfort needs were met during the needling. After weekly dry needling sessions I saw a huge improvement in my level of pain and mobility in my neck. I went to having pain for just few hours on 1 – 2 days a week. After a couple of months, Dr. Artichoker suggested we try laser therapy to keep improving my pain, and to take a break from sticking me with needles. The laser therapy has been the cherry on top of my treatments and I have seen HUGE improvements. I now have pain in my neck maybe 2 – 3 days a month, for only a few hours at a time. I am as close to normal as I’ve been since my fall a year ago.
I am so grateful to Dr. Artichoker for spending so much time with me and exhausting all possible solutions to get me back to 100%. He really took the time to deliver the highest quality treatments each time, and he helped me identify activities and habits in my daily life that might be triggering pain episodes. I never wanted to have to see a western doctor for pain killers or surgical options for my neck injury, and after my successful recovery with Denver Chiropractic, I am optimistic that I will never have to.

I have suffered from cluster headaches for more than 20 years. After discovering Dr. Artichoker from his great reviews on Unilocal,I explored his background and education, and decided to book an appointment when I had dislocated some ribs and felt a cluster headache brewing. He not only got my back functioning in one visit, over the course of a few visits he used a combination of ART (active release technique — which is amazing) and gentle, intentional adjustments to resolve some neck issues that were triggering a new series of cluster headaches. I am extremely grateful for his expertise in the area of neck and head care, as I have had some bad neck adjustments in the past from other practitioners at other practices in the past, which made my headaches worse. Additionally, the price is low, the staff is friendly and professional, and the facility is clean and welcoming. There is usually no wait time for your appointment either, and they can usually get you in the same day you call, which is extremely appreciated by busy folks. I highly recommend this place to anyone with cluster headaches, or any other head/​back/​neck/​hip issue.

I recently moved from Chicago, were I was seeing a chiropractor on a weekly, sometimes daily basis for neck and shoulder pain. I thought I was being well taken care of until I found Dr. Artichoker in Denver. His examination was extremely thorough, and his treatments have resulted in longer lasting pain relief than I ever thought possible. The office team is super friendly, well run, and I recommend Denver Chiropractic to family and friends without hesitation.

A year ago I moved to Denver leaving my regular chiropractor behind. After a few months my neck pain returned causing painful headaches. being busy I kept putting off finding a chiropractor. Eventually, the headaches became a daily occurrences and started running my life. This went on for a few months (I know, why I let it persist is beyond me). Finally, I started looking for a chiropractor. After seeing the reviews online, I decided to see Dr. Artichoker. After my first appointment, the daily headaches were gone. Although I see him regularly, we have been able to stretch out my appointments further and further without headaches. Yay!
Dr. Artichoker and his staff are great! I have yet to wait more than two minutes before being taken to a room, even when I am early. The front desk is friendly and helpful. I am very happy I found them!

Dr. Downing is fantastic! I have seen her regularly throughout my pregnancy and I look forward to my appointments. She is warm and effective. She has helped me address the many changes and discomforts that arise throughout pregnancy which include pelvic pain, headaches and lower back issues. I am so grateful for her care and believe that she has helped me remain active and comfortable throughout my pregnancy.

I recently began seeing Dr. Artichoker in March of this year due to a groin injury which was causing me pain when walking. It took a number of treatments, but I am happy that I went in when I did. Working through injuries is not an easy process and it definitely takes patience. I appreciated the fact that Dr. Artichoker listened and used different methods to address and relieve the pain.
In addition, everyone in the office has a great bedside manner and it’s really nice to have the appointment start on time. Overall, really good experience!

I began seeing Dr. Artichoker almost 2 years ago while training for my first 100 mile run. Of course as a runner you seem to always be battling some sort of overuse injury if not an acute sprain of some sort. During my training Dr. Artichoker addressed every issue that I had and would always ask my training schedule and follow up at the next appointment to see how everything went. He has helped me with hip and lower back problems, runner’s knee, it band issues, and planters fascitis using a variety of treatments. I attribute my successful finish of the 100 mile to him and his ability to keep everything in line.
Overall, all the staff members are very personable and the facility is always clean and a peaceful environment to be in. It’s easy to make appointments over the phone and they’re able to fit you in on your schedule. I’m not training for any more 100s but I still see Dr. Artichoker regularly for other issues that come up. I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity I’ve had to work with Dr. Artichoker and fully recommend him as the go-​to chiropractor in Denver.

I saw Dr Artichoke once, and he referred me to his partner Dr Downing, since she has expertise in the postnatal pelvic issues I was having.
They both worked with me to find a technique I was comfortable with (I had had many painful experiences with chiropractors and only went to a chiropractor this time out of desperation).
I requested to be treated with the Activator technique, as my body does not respond well to the «Cracking» practiced by many chiropractors. I felt immediate relief, and Dr Downing has worked with me to give me exercises and stretches so that I can maintain the improvements while decreasing the frequency of my visits.
The office runs on time and the staff is helpful and nice.

I waited over a year to write this review because I wanted to be thorough with my situation/​experience.
One day out of the blue in Nov 2013 I began to have a severe pain in my right glute to where I could barely walk or do any prolonged standing. The pain however would go completely away if I laid or sat down. I went to see my medical doctor who took an xray of my right lumbar and had me take a wait and see approach while taking ibuprofen. If I didn’t get better in the upcoming months, the next step would be to get a MRI. The low point was when I went on vacation in Dec 2013 and even though I got a little better, I couldn’t do the things I had planned on doing (Hiking, Swimming, Golfing, etc), plus the pain had gone down my leg into my calf.
When I got back in Jan 2014 with my last hope I went to see Dr. Artichoker. In the initial consultation I explained everything on what had happened up to that point, but I asked him the dreaded question of would I be able to enjoy all the activities I love doing (Golfing, Snowboarding, Working out, Hiking, Paddling, etc) ever again. Dr. Artichoker told me he was confident that he knew what my back injury was and if I followed his plan, he was confident I could get back to near 100%. Best of all I could avoid a MRI/​Surgery and get back to enjoying all the activities that I love doing. I admit I was cautiously optimistic but I chose to trust in the plan and see what would happen.
I followed his plan along with doing Pilates/​Yoga on my own and I saw results pretty quickly. After two weeks I was walking around with a little discomfort. Roughly a month later I was back to snowboarding. Three months later I was back to hiking and working out. Six months later I was back to golfing. Progressively throughout the plan, the pain turned into discomfort which slowly got better and better. Now I can confidently say today I’m 100% without any pain/​discomfort.
As for my visits, I think Denver Chiropractic is pretty affordable, their office rooms are great, and have had no issues with their availability.
It was a long journey but I owe a lot to Dr. Artichoker for laying the groundwork and helping me along the way. If my previous situation sounds similar to yours, you might consider seeing Dr. Artichoker or another great chiropractor as it could possibly be a life changer for you. It certainly was for me.

I have been going to Denver Chiropractic for a year or two… I generally go in when I need an adjustment. Every time I call, they fit me in that day. Every person in the office is so nice and helpful. If you have to wait, it won’t be more than 2 minutes (when does that EVER happen at a doctors office?) I have seen both Dr. Artichoker and Dr. Shupe — both are great! I wake up the next day always feeling so much better. So happy to have found Denver Chiropractic!

I didn’t think it was possible for any location to have such universal acclaim, much less a Chiropractor’s office. On a whim I decided to just try this place after I saw their already-​affordable rates and discovered that I would only have to pay $ 30 an appointment for up to 15 visits that my health insurance (Anthem Blue Cross) would cover every year. They take their time with here and don’t try to rush you out the door like so many other Chiropractic offices do, and they do a stellar job at helping to alleviate pain. Yours truly is a stressed-​out person with scoliosis, which does a real number pain-​wise on my neck, shoulders and back. These guys help tremendously.

If you are looking for a great chiropractor, please go and see Dr. Shupe! I just moved from Arizona and was on the search for a new chiropractor, am I glad I found Dr. Shupe! I suffer from back pains from a horrible car accent and Dr. Shupe made me feel better in one visit then I have in years!

Pregnant? Book an appointment with Dr. Downing! I saw Dr. Downing the last 5 months of my pregnancy and she was great. Very friendly, knowledgable and gentle. She used techniques specifically for the pregnant body, which I loved! Thanks to Dr. Downing I had very little back pain (if any!) throughout my pregnancy and I was able to stay active right up til the day I gave birth. I would recommend her to anyone I know, pregnant or not.
