After seeing Dixie’s Tupperware Party a few weeks ago, I knew I had to see her newest show and it was everything I expected it to be and more! Dixie keeps you laughing with her hilarious, honest and heartfelt views on life. She’s engaging, entertaining and makes you just want to get up and dance(which happened, twice!). I appreciate her ability to balance her well-intended and positive messages with humor– the«morals’ of the story are very valid and real, and something everyone can relate to. The set was very well done; though darn I wish Dixie would have taken the bull for a ride for us! Her dress was crafted of the most amazing printed fabric I’ve ever seen(go see the show to see for yourself). And the premise that the audience was a bus full of people stuck at the bar due to a tornado warning was very creative– the occasional thunder/lightning and power«going out» was also a nice touch to remind you that you were not a mere observer of a show but rather a weary traveler stranded by weather. Engaging– I told you.

After two years of seeing Dixie’s Tupperware Party, I knew Dixie’s Denver debut of «Never Wear a Tube Top…» was going to be great. The set design was fantastic — a very country bar with littered floors, empty bottle, etc. You’ll be laughing for most of the hour and a half monologue. From what I’ve been able to tell almost every single night has been sold out! Be sure to grab your cocktail in your Tupperware sippy cup at the bar!

I’d never heard of Dixie before this Unilocal event but am SO glad I was able to attend this show! Holy cow — Dixie was a RIOT! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about a southern-accented one-woman show but my friend and I were totally blown away. Cheeky, sweet and full of life mottos I wished I’d written down(‘shut up, eat a moon pie and get on with your damn life!’ or that a 60-second Honky Tonk break can solve most problems), I can see how Dixie is the #1 seller of Tupperware. How can you not want to be part of her infectious charisma?! Will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for Dixie shows coming through in the future. Amazing.

More fun than you can shake a stick at? Pretty much. This was a decent follow-up to Dixie’s Tupperware Party. Although my seat was rather far to the rear, and I had a hard time catching some of the dialogue early on, I still had a good time. There are plenty of laughs to be enjoyed listening to Dixie’s colorful and outrageous takes on the vagaries of life. So sit back, eat a moon pie, and enjoy the show.

Great set and so realistic-down to the popcorn on the floor around the stools at the bar. Felt like I was in an actual Honky-Tonk! Dixie, as always was so hilarious! This show was funny, smart and sent a message that life is too short and you have to still be a kid at heart – plus moon pies can solve any problem. This is definitely a must see and if you can watch both of her shows, you can’t go wrong – plus you can leave with some great Tupperware! Thanks again to Frances and Unilocal for the tickets! :-)
