The absolute best place for Mexican hamburgers! Been coming here since I was a kid and this is my «go-to» place. Overlook the area and structure of the building and you’ll be in Mexican food heaven.

Five star hospitality. This family knows how to take care of it’s customers and make people feel welcome. We had a Saturday morning smothered burrito tradition and had to end it only when we moved away. They are fairly priced and generous with portions. They make homemade green chili and though they say it’s vegetarian… This vegetarian has found a few chunks of pork in it but… I just kicked ‘em to the hubby. This food is delightful. Go visit them.

For this restaurant being out of the way and kind of hidden, I like to pre order or stop on in when I do have the time. They have a mini bar and even sell boots!

I spent a year on a search for the best breakfast burrito in denver. This is it. The owners are always friendly and you can watch them cook. The place is spotless and you can tell they take a real pride in their place. If you want real family style Mexican. This is where you should go.

AWESOME food! Everything is spicy and the people are really nice. Margaritas are OK — food is much better. Don’t pass up this place!

Unbelievably good, authentic Mexican food. Our waitress said that her father has been makin the green chili here for 25 years. Family owned and operated gives it a warm, welcoming vibe. As for the food– I don’t say this lightly — best Mexican I’ve had. I’m not joking– this place is legit. All the way down to the chips and salsa. LOVEIT.

I love this place plain and simple. Its all family owned and operated and that is amazing! The food is authentic, delicious, and fresh! The breakfast burritos are to die for and they are only $ 3!!! I highly recommend a trip to the cultural mish mash that is Federal Blvd for this food!

Green chili is great. The service is great. When the construction is done on Federal, it will be easier to park. They are willing to individualize and the menu has everything on it.

I love Mexican food. Period. I could probably seriously eat it for every meal. I first came to El Rancherito on a Cinco de Mayo celebration whim. Pro: Food is always delicious Service is prompt and efficient Cheap eats Super cheap and delicious margarita pitchers Cons: Hours. I wish that they stayed open later than dark.

I stopped here one morning after my usual overnight work for one major reason: BEER. Not many restaurants offer beer at 8 in the morning, and a beer sounded really good to me. The restaurant is right on my way home, so I pulled in. The menu is extensive, and the menu photos all look great. I was excited to be trying the place. I ordered a beef chimichanga, partly because my usual breakfast place doesn’t serve that item. The chimi comes smothered in chile plus guacamole and sour cream, lettuce, and tomato, with sides of rice and beans. My reaction was definitely meh, although I did finish it. The refried beans were thin, almost watery. The rice tasted unseasoned, plus it had something I hate — frozen peas and carrots. Why do so many Mexican and Asian restaurants think we’ll be turned on by frozen peas and carrots mixed into their cuisine? Yuck. To make matters worse, the peas were all shriveled; but I was going to remove them anyway, so no loss. Oddly, the rice and beans tasted okay when mixed together, although each individually was not at all appealing. The chimi was okay, fried but not too crisp. I was glad it wasn’t greasy. The filling was… okay. It was that ground beef they use to fill ground-beef tacos(for gringos). The chile was fine, as was the guacamole(except for the bite that was full of avocado peel). The service was okay, the place is clean, and the chile and Rhondita’s positive experiences mean I will give it another try or two and see if my rating goes up. I sincerely hope so.
