Fan Acupuncture Clinic

I have had a hamstring injury for 2 years that spread to my glute and IT band. I tried physical therapy, yoga, taking time off from working out, nothing worked. I finally decided to do acupuncture and am happy to say I am cured! Who knew that the problem was stemming from my back! Thanks Dr. Cheng for making me better. Now I can exercise again and am pain free.
My muscles were sooooo tight that it really hurt when I first started. Yes, sometimes the treatment was painful, but it was so worth it the day after. However, as my back/​hamstring got better, each treatment was less painful. She used acupuncture, Chinese massage, and Chinese cupping.

Terrible experience. I found the two doctors to be unfriendly and taciturn. Terrible communication skills. I don’t know why this place receives such good reviews. Must be me.

Dr. Cheng is the best! I was very skeptical about acupuncture, but she made me a true believer. I first came to Dr. Cheng for chronic neck and back pain following a car accident years earlier. I felt instant relief after one visit, then followed up 6 more visits. The pain has been gone since (2.5 years).
Since I had such a positive experience with Dr. Cheng, I decided to go back to her when trying to get pregnant. My cycle was irregular, making pregnancy planning more difficult. She treated me for several months, then the first month trying, I got pregnant. Two years later, I went back for help getting pregnant with #2. Within three weeks, I was pregnant again!
I can’t recommend Dr. Cheng enough!

I am the only one it seems, but ouch! I have had many acupuncture sessions over the last 20 years with about three or four practioners (moved away or dead or I would be there), and by far Dr. Fan hurt me the most. I went twice. That’s enough for me. I didn’t get relief on top of the most pain ever while on an acupuncture table. Yes they are kind people, but I couldn’t go back. It shouldn’t hurt like that!
Also, there was blood on the wall by the baseboard, that you could see while your head was facing down through the neck rest, which indicated to me, someone else had a rough experience as well. I am glad he worked out for the others who rated him here, and yes his wife is very nice too, but far far too agressive of treatment. I was nauseated on the way home from the second session! Enough for me!

By far the best Acupuncture clinic in the Mile High City! I live in San Francisco now and every time I am in Denver to visit family I make an appointment to visit Fan Acupuncture clinic. Dr. Cheng and Dr. Fan are intelligent, kind and compassionate. They truly care about making a difference in your health. They have helped relieve everything from minor neck pain and fatigue to extremely painful menstrual cramps. Thank you Fan Acupuncture Clinic for being so amazing!

Previously I received treatment from Dr. Cheng for a recurring ham string injury that has thankfully not recurred since! I had never had acupuncture treatment before and she made me feel comfortable. Recently, I returned to after hurting my knee. I was limping and unable to climb or descend stairs when I first went in for treatment. Now, just three weeks later, I can walk normally and am no longer experiencing pain. My recovery would not have been so fast or thorough otherwise and I am grateful for the care Dr. Cheng has provided to me. She is incredibly knowledgeable and well-​trained. She instantly remembered me as a patient and recalled the previous treatment I received, despite the fact that two years had passed since my last treatment.
The clinic is clean and well-​kept. There is two-​hour free visitor’s parking in the adjacent lot. I have highly recommended Fan Acupuncture clinic to friends and acquaintances and will do so here!

Fan Acupuncture Clinic is very professional and well-​maintained!!! I never had received an acupuncture treatment prior to this (although I’ve accompanied my father on visits to others before) so I was a bit nervous. If the clean-​cut and charming décor, ambient music, and kind smiles from all the doctors and fellow patients didn’t do it, I must say that the congeniality of Dr. Fan (the physician I visited for over 1 year) did.
Dr. Fan is very cheerful and easy to talk to. He integrates information about my medical history, other treatments, present/​past symptoms, and my concerns about his own treatment process. He’s always obliging my curiosity for the placement of needles to my prescription, so I feel like I learn a lot about the treatment that I’m receiving!
***Also, I never knew that alternative medicine could be covered by my insurance (Aetna), but Dr. Cheng even volunteered to check for me and in help break down the costs for me to assess.***
To note qualifications (per my own research and conversations with some of the physicians at Fan Acupuncture Clinic): Dr. Fan has been cultivated in acupuncture, acupressure, and Chinese herbal medicine from a young age in mainland China, and even teaches Chinese medicine locally in Denver. Dr. Cheng is also trained in Chinese medicine and also specializes in womens’ health.

I’ve been receiving acupuncture treatments for about five years now, and have been to several acupuncturists. Some have definitely been better than others, but Dr. Fan stands out as one of the very best I’ve been to. He is just about as highly educated in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine as one can get, and he’s also one of the nicest and most gentle doctors I’ve been to, and he’s helped me tremendously with various ailments, such as asthma. His prices are very reasonable as well, which is a bonus.

Fan Acupuncture Clinic is one of the best places to get «poked» in Denver. Not only are the acupuncturist some of the best educated I know (and I know a LOT of acupuncturists), but they are some of the kindest and good humored ones in town. While I rather not put up my personal medical history for my random Unilocal crowd to ogle, they helped me greatly. I also have started taking my mom to them and she agrees with me on how gentle they are. Even now while I am writing this, I am trying to find some negative points to be fair and balanced, but none come to mind. They tell me while they treat a variety of complaints, they really specialize in pain management and fertility issues. So if you are looking for some great acupuncture at a reasonable price, give them a call.
