Stopped in to get my fifth quote on upgrading a family ring. Trying to find the best jeweler that I know can take care of a priceless piece. A employee came up to me talking a million miles a minute I immediately felt very rushed. I told him what I needed and he said «look man I can tell this is an estate. It’s old as hell but let me see what I can do». Comes back 30 seconds later and says «my guys the best. He worked in Vegas for like 30 years but even though it’s platinum it’s just going to fall apart. Give it to your aunt or something and just buy a new ring». So… Putting aside the fact that this was going to be my fifth quote for work that CAN be done on my «old as hell» family heirloom he tried to get me to give my soon to be wife something besides a family tradition. Well… Go to hell. I’ve never had a worse experience at a jewelry store. If you want something cheap and at an estate sale price go to Craigslist if you want better customer service. This place is a joke.

The customer service is horrible, but if you are looking for more of the higher end costume jewelry this is your place, its like being in a nicer pawn shop. Don’t expect quality for these prices, your better off going to an actually jewelry store, that knows where everything came from and doesn’t give you the feeling that all these rings came off the back of someone truck.

Two stars for customer engagement…
This place is actually a huge ripoff (just found my receipt from a year ago lol) and can honestly say that they’re one of those places that «sells cheap» after MARKING IT UP A TON.
Essentially they aren’t giving you any sort of deal past what you’d find in a pawn shop. Notice how a TON of the high rated reviews here are from people with a couple reviews only? Yeah I did too, and I can probably guess they were paid for.
Anyhow, the people were nice and friendly, I dropped a couple hundred on a dinky little ring that probably should have been like $ 80 bucks… even with gold prices.
I wouldn’t shop here (again) to save my life. It’s just another store that makes you feel like you’re getting a deal when in fact you’re just lining their pockets through lies.

Great experience. Bought a ring for half of what I could find online and at other jewelers. I then had them do some jewelry repairs and sizing for me. My tennis bracelet looks brand new.
It’s a wonderful place to find unique jewelry and save money. Sharon is fantastic to work with. I highly recommend!

The customer service was AMAZING. I kind of feel like I made new friends with Isabella and Carol! If you love high quality jewelry but are living on a real world budget, STOP BY!
They buy from estates and jewelry store overstock so the pieces are original and well loved.
I went in to get an antique piece appraised and left with a stunning bracelet the costs much less than it looks! The pieces are all high quality and authentic.
They don’t do appraisal but they did refer me to someone who does.

So, I just signed up for Unilocal so I could review these guys! They were really awesome and we had a fantastic experience! We went in just to check out rings, and not only were we super pleased with the prices, but we were treated warmly and attentively. We found THE ring and couldn’t/wouldn’t walk away. I absolutely love it and it fit my small hand perfectly so it was meant to be! Special thanks to Ronni, Mick and the store manager, Isreal (SP?) who were friendly and knowledgeable. You guys made it a really great experience!

I came in to do preliminary engagement ring shopping — my boyfriend told me he wants to propose, but is less interested in ring shopping and asked me to find a few I liked. H Carter was one of my first stops as I’d heard great things about the store. However I am completely turned off from ever returning and am upset I was treated so poorly.
When I first walked in a gentleman whom I assume was the manager greeted me and offered me a water bottle, was very nice and welcoming. I explained my situation and he set me up with a woman who looked completely uninterested as soon as I mentioned I wouldn’t be buying anything today and my boyfriend would be back later. She told me there was no point in even looking if I wasn’t going to buy because if I found something I loved it could sell in an hour. Fair enough, I said I’d like to get an idea on stock and styles because I’d never been in before but I understand there is a rotating stock. She followed me and halfheartedly suggested one ring in the cheapest section without asking mine or my boyfriends budget or what style I liked. She was completely detached and seemed more interested in the people walking through the doors with money in hand than someone who would potentially buy an engagement ring, wedding bands, among other things for birthdays and anniversaries to come. I left without being acknowledged again or thanked for coming in.

I went in there because a friend suggested it, but as soon as I walked in I was approached by a lady named Carol who had terrible customer service. She didn’t ask me for my name until it was too late, as well as not knowing her inventory nor did she care about what I was interested in for that matter. I wasn’t really paying attention to the jewelry they had because I was stuck on the fact that she immediately assumed I was looking for something cheap. Absolutely made me upset and will never walk in there again. I’m assuming I was approached by the manager towards the end though and she was a nice gal, but I’m already not a believer!

I honestly can’t say enough about these guys. Honestly, I think they will be our #1 choice for jewelry forever. We started going there the week that they opened. We are on the hunt for my engagement ring and found exactly what we were looking for, for less than half of the cost. Then we found my beautiful band to go with it. They are so helpful that we have made 5 purchases through them and have had a wonderful experience every time. If your wife wants that pair of diamond earrings, guess what… you can afford them here. Because its estate and close out jewelry you might not always find exactly what you want, but go back 2 weeks later and they probably have it, and it’s always priced really well. I have not been disappointed and I’m a hard shopper to please. If you’re thinking of buying something special, check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

We happened to go in while we were driving by and are so happy that we did! We have been searching and searching for a jeweler to make a custom ring with my fiancé’s grandpas ring that was given to us. Everywhere we went we were told that what we were wanting was not possible. Cheree, who helped us through the whole process was beyond AMAZING. We were nervous to leave the ring but after talking with Cheree we felt at ease. It only took a week to have an entire custom ring made and throughout the whole process Cheree stayed in contact with us, even going above and beyond by sending us pictures to ensure it is exactly what we wanted. When we picked up the ring we both fell in love with the design, it is exactly what we wanted, and could not be happier with the final product. We will be back, and will recommend H. Carter to everyone! The staff took customer service to a much higher level then what we had been working with, which is so hard to come by anymore. We truly felt taken care of by Cheree and the entire staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The staff is nice enough. But I’ve had better. When you call, they do not listen to a word you say. They just say «you’ll have to come in and see what we have». Then when you go in, they are still dont listen to what you are really wanting. They do not have antique or vintage rings. From what I can tell, everything is from the 90’s or newer. When you ask about antique, they try to pass their newer rings off as antiques and say, «we cant tell what time period they are from.» What the what? They also say if they do get antique rings in, they will not be GIA or EGL certified because there is no way to certify a used ring. That is the biggest BS I’ve ever heard and throws a red flag on the whole engagement ring situation.

***update: this place is awful, diamonds fell out. Save your money
