I bought a small investment property and wanted to get the kitchen cabinets refaced to modernize the kitchen. I called Home Depot for a quote and they came out and ended up quoting as much as new cabinets would have cost. Yikes! I was really surprised — I love Home Depot (I feel like I practically live there) but the refacing was just super expensive and defeated the whole purpose of refacing to avoid the cost of new cabinets! After this discouraging experience (I did not budget for new cabinets) I called Home Improvements of Colorado and spoke with Mark over the phone. He was able to give me some encouraging news after asking me specific questions about what I had in mind. He came out the very next day to give me a firm quote and it was less than half of what Home Depot quoted. Once the custom sized doors were made (which only took a couple of weeks or so) the cabinet refacing was done in a day and a half ! Yay! and I cannot overstate how incredible they look. I thought I was going to have to compromise with refacing but was willing to settle because it was going to be a rental. But WOW I am so impressed with how they look. Exactly like new cabinets. I think the fact that they put real wood on the surface of cabinet bases instead of a veneer really is what makes the difference. HD was going to use veneer. Outstanding customer service and quality product. I will use them on every project from now on. I could not be happier with the results! Staff is so easy to work with and super friendly. What a great company! Hired Home Improvements of Colorado for cabinet refacing. Outstanding customer service, outstanding products, installation and pricing. Avoid the big name companies who charge far too much. Get better products, and service with this family owned business.
