Business Owner

Patients have described Dr. Tarjan’s progressive approach to care as bright, fresh and gentle, and they commonly remark that they love her friendly personality. Dr. Tarjan has an ever-​growing passion for her work and genuinely seeks to improve the lives of her patients.

Dr. Tarjan is originally from Iran and moved to the United States with her family in 2000. She lived in Iowa for nine years, where she attended University of Iowa College of Dentistry after getting her Bachelors Degree in Psychology.

She began her career practicing in Colorado Springs for three years, gaining lots of experience in state-​of-​the-​art restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Two years ago, she moved to Denver, where she mainly cared for under-​served children and families. She is now the owner of Icon Dental where she hopes to meet you and care for your smile!

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her fiancé, Dan, and their Great Dane, Mini. She also enjoys cooking,

Yup, This is definitely as good as it gets. I guarantee it!!!
After years of crazy experiences. I became completely paralyzed with anxiety about finding a new dentist. When I was referred to Dr Tarjan I reluctantly called to schedule an appointment. I went in a complete skeptic and left knowing that I had just found my forever dentist.
Since then, I have returned several times. Each time I am greeted by Michelle. Michelle is wonderful. She bends over backwards to make sure things are handles with my insurance and that I understand everything. Thank You so much for that.
Dr. Tarjan is AMAZING! When I first met her she talked to me in detail about all of my concerns. I am sure she was quite exhausted when she finally finished with me. I was also very impressed that she called me personally after a few days to see how I was.
Abbey who does my cleanings is no less thorough. She explains every thing in detail. I can’t believe I am saying this, but, I actually look forward to our cleanings.
Since that first experience, I have been back several times. They continue to be the most kind and professional staff.
If anybody out there is scared out of their wits about going to a dentist. Come visit Icon dental. They will help you.

Far and away the best dentist I’ve ever been to.
Even with all my dental issues, everyone at ICON makes me feel comfortable and relaxed.
From the moment you walk they want to make you feel good. Coffee or water. Light conversation. And then semi private areas to discuss your teeth.
It’s also really nice that they let you know, every step of the way, what it is they are doing. And then, making sure and verifying you’re still ok and comfortable the whole time.
Truly the greatest people.

I loved going to Icon Dental. It’s a few blocks away from my work downtown, and the employees there are so nice! I’ve been referring my colleagues to go there as well.
TVs above the chairs were great, along with a good explanation of what exactly they were going to do, how much it was going to cost, and even a breakdown of what my next appointment was going to look like. Definitely a 5-​star experience. :)

Tried Icon because it is closer to home than my previous dentist. Cleaning was not thorough, and they were too pushy with up-​selling me an obscenely over-​priced mouth guard. Turned off by the experience, I forgot about the appt. for the mouth guard fitting, and then received a bill penalizing me $ 100 for TWO missed appointments, the second of which would have been to simply pick up the guard. Not attending the first negates the second, but they charged me for both anyway. Classy.
I feel this behavior validates my first impression of them being all about profits, and will not return (nor will my wife or two children, who I would have sent there had things been cooler).
I will pay them $ 50 for the appointment I missed and return to my previous dentist.

Icon Dental is THE best! I was in search of a new dentist so my colleagues referred me to Dr. Tarjan’s practice. I first came in for a cleaning and eventually veneers for my two front teeth, which I couldn’t be happier with. From the minute you walk in and Michelle kindly greets you, to the text reminders and confirmations, Icon makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience… or as enjoyable as a dentist visit can be! Dr. Tarjan and her staff, partially Cara, made sure to thoroughly explain everything to me and gracefully accommodated all my requests. Phenomenal dental work coupled with an incredibly nice and professional staff makes Icon Dental the best dentist in Denver!

I wish I could give more stars. This was the best dental experience I have had in my life! They were attentive, well organized, state of the art equipment, glasses, headphones with TV’s on the ceiling, the new patient paperwork was a breeze and the people were beyond great. I tend to have a high level of anxiety over going to the dentist (even for a cleaning) and walked away so excited that my experience was the calmest I have ever had in my 40 + years. This will be the only dentist I ever go to as long as they are in business.

I went to Icon Dental for my first time and it was by far the best central experience I’ve had. Not only was the staff extremely nice but they made my comfort a top priority. I felt as though I wasn’t just another patient but rather someone they cared about giving the best personalized treatment possible.

Hands down the best dental experiences my wife and I have ever had! We get extremely nervous when it comes to going to the dentist, but we felt completely at ease here! Everyone is so incredibly kind and caring– it is unreal! Michelle does an amazing job at making you feel welcome and at ease as soon as you walk through the door. During my examination, I never once felt judged by Dr. Nazeli for what I know has been a subpar effort at taking care of my teeth. She was very bubbly, friendly, and easy to talk to. The X-​rays, examination, cleaning, and subsequent cavity fillings were all painless, quick (like. .. are we seriously done?! kind of quick), and comfortable experiences! We would DEFINITELY recommend Icon Dental to anyone in the Denver area. Our commute to come here is about 20 – 30 minutes from our home, but it is worth every minute of that drive!

Wow. I have been to Icon twice now — once for my check up and cleaning and once to get a few cavities filled.
After my cleaning, they gave me what I thought was a standard-​issue post-​dentist visit grab bag of tooth-​related goodies. But I actually just looked in the bag TODAY (weeks later) to find that it included a hand-​written thank you card from the dentist, addressed to my name.
I was a fan of Icon before noticing that but that sent me over the edge and I came straight to Unilocal to give them a 5-​star rating.
Overall, in addition to a great location and cute/​comfy office, the staff is absolutely phenomenal. They are incredibly nice and I feel that my experience with them has been very personal.
I have a colleague that goes to Icon as well and in comparing notes we are both over-​the-​top satisfied. You can tell Dr. Tarjan takes pride and care not only in her dentistry but in her abilities to hire great staff and run a successful small business.

Never before have I felt compelled to write a review about my experience with a business — good or bad. I am breaking my Unilocal silence to sing the praises of Icon Dental. I went there today (my first time) for a teeth cleaning and basically, the whole experience was too FANTASTIC to keep to myself!
From the moment I walked in the office I was impressed. The entire office is super inviting and disarming! Whatever normal pre-​dentist jitters I had evaporated at the front desk. Michelle, the receptionist, greeted me with a smile that said ‘everything will be alright. This place is different.’ And it truly is.
From the top… There was no endless ‘new patient’ paperwork to fill out. A few moments with an iPad and they had all the information they needed. I was then greeted by the dental hygienist, Kara, and Dr. Nazeli who together lead me back to the most comfortable examination room EVER! I felt like I was seated in a space age lounge/​dental chair. There was a flat screen tv mounted to the ceiling above me offering more cable channels than I have at home. First, X-​rays, which took exactly 3 minutes to take and get reviewed by Dr. Nazeli. I thought she was kidding me when she said, everything looked good’. How could she have possibly got them so fast!!!
When the cleaning began, I had headphones on enjoying trashy tv. Best of all, there was both Dr. Nazeli and Kara working together on my teeth. Dr. Nazeli was cleaning while Kara worked the spit vacuum. There were none of the usual moments of trying not to gag on the puddle of saliva in my mouth while the person cleaning my teeth gets one last scrap or two in before reaching for the spit sucker! It was like an oral pit crew or a choreographed dance that took place in my mouth with the intention of getting my teeth spotless and keeping me comfortable at the same time. Honest to God, I was a little bummed out when they were done. But, my teeth look and feel fantastic!
The whole experience was like an hour at the «Dental Spa»! I’ll be counting the days until my next cleaning 6 months from now!

I recently relocated to Denver and was looking for a new dentist. My best friend recommended Icon and I’m glad she did. Dr. Tarjan and her staff are incredible! I can’t stand going to the dentist, which is why I obsessively adhere to taking care of my teeth at home. That said, it’d had been about two years since I had seen a dentist so I made an appointment with Icon.
So glad I picked these folks. Very friendly from the moment I walked in; it’s more like a spa than a place that provides healthcare, except not that artificial friendliness you get at a spa. Dr. Tarjan was a great listener, very knowledgeable, and patient with me; she didn’t even scold me for not seeing a dentist in so long. I’ll definitely be going back in six months. Nice to be able to get some use out of the dental insurance I get through work…

I’m writing this review while half of my face is still slack and numb from getting some fillings done this morning, and I’ve got to say that Dr. Tarjan is the best dentist I’ve ever seen.
I’ve long been afraid of the dentist. As the proud owner of weak British teeth, every visit can be a terrifying experience. But then I took a chance and called Icon Dental. From the very first call, Dr. Tarjan’s staff has been warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The space is welcoming, clean and stylish and it is obvious that the comfort of patients was a priority in opening their clinic.
When I went back and got comfy, well as comfy as can be expected, in the dental chair, Dr. Tarjan took the time to get to know me and talked through my dental history and my concerns. It’s honestly the first time I’ve ever laughed with a dentist. From there, my cleaning and subsequent appointments for fillings have been quick, easy affairs that have left me feeling good about my teeth and confident that I’ve finally found a dentist that I can go back to time and again.

I have kind of always hated having my teeth cleaned. So I do avoid the dentist, but tried Icon Dental, because I work near the area and knew that I would have a morning off in the next week.
When I walked in, I found that they are brand new, everything inside is super clean and very chic. It is more equal to a spa experience than any fluoride smelling dentist’s office that I have ever walked into.
Dr. Tarjan could not have been any sweeter, there are TVs in the ceiling and headphones to keep you distracted when you likely could use some distraction.
I guess best of all it is affordable and quick for all of you downtown folks that have less than an hour before you have to be somewhere else.
