I almost didn’t want to go in here because some man was in here alone, singing his heart out as he played guitar. He really meant it. He was strumming those strings like nobody’s business. He even kept playing as if I wasn’t there. A bit awkward, but where else can you get a free private concert while you take in some art? It’s small. It’s classic. It’s Colfax. Yes, it was a bit hard to concentrate with the private concert I was receiving, but then again, I don’t know much about art anyways. Still enjoyable to look around and clear my head. I’ll probably go back when there’s another display in there. And if the guitarist is sitting in there, I’ll give him the awkward«I kind of know you, but not really, but it’s rude if I don’t do anything» kind of head nod.

Checked this spot out before office hours! I have to say I like this little gallery not because of the art or the artist, but because it symbolizes something greater to me. Its a small independent art gallery, which to me is some cool shit! When at a gallery I want to see something that could invoke a emotion in me, or have me marveling at the beauty of its work etc. I don’t want to be looking at something wondering wtf it is and then having this nagging feeling that damn this shit right here I could do myself if I could burst out of the safety of getting a steady paycheck from corporate America! Still it is a cool very small gallery I will keep coming back and someday I might find the inner John Singer Sergeant and take a risk and do something similar. In the meantime I have ISM Gallery to check out to help keep my dreams of some super creative alternate reality alive! ISM I am a fan regardless even though I didn’t get the art currently on display! Peace
