History

Established in 2008.

Java Café is a Hospitality Service of St. John’s Lutheran Church and School. It was established in May of 2008 to partner with the Welcome Ministry in greeting members, guests and visitor’s to St. John’s. We have grown from offering one size and a few basic flavor lattes to a full service specialty beverage bar in the Community Room. Offering up to 20 different flavors, 3 sizes of hot cups and two of cold cups, choices of dairy and non-​dairy, classic and sugar-​free, fruit smoothies and blended drinks.

Manager

I have been managing Java Café at St. John’s for 4 yrs, since taking it over in November of ’08. It really has become my passion to learn more about the coffee industry and especially the specialty beverage trade. I enjoy serving this community at St. John’s, I even went to school here as a kid! I also served 12 years in the US Army as a Military Policeman and paratrooper. I am currently attending Metro State University to obtain my bachelors degree in Management. I am engaged and have a 19 yr old daughter from my first marriage.
