It’s a relic of days past still hanging on. Dusty products and not quite a convenience store. Could be an awesome 7 – 11 but it’s Kelly’s. Nice folks working in there. The neighborhood was recently given a face lift to «look better» but it’s still kind of edgy with homeless Indians and drunk white guys beggin for change as you dodge cars and trash. Oh well, I do go there so I don’t have to run down to Queen Super which is dirty too. That’s another story lol

Sure, they have a great location, and could easily get five stars in my book, IF they carried anything that made me want to go there. King Soopers is just down the road, so canned goods, box mac and cheese, and paper towels are not going to work. If there was some organic produce, or alcohol, or good ice cream selections, or margarita mix, or something that makes me think«i just need this one or two things, I am going to run up to the corner store rather than make a whole trip to the grocery store» then this would be a hit. The problem: people don’t seem to go to the corner store for much in this neighborhood, so then the one corner store that exists doesn’t carry much, so then people don’t even think to go to the corner store for stuff in general… unfortunate

These guys get five stars just for the location. They are right on the corner of 13th& Downing, which is awesomely convenient in case you forgot one item to finish your dinner plans and don’t have time to walk down to the Sooper. They carry all types of beverages and food items, candy, cigarettes, newspapers, incense, lottery tix, home repair, cleaning, bath items, and a few frozen treats. Also the two owners and one other guy that work there are all super nice and always remember your name.
