History

Established in 2007.

With a strong background in formal dance education, Lumina began circus training in 2007, now performing with over a dozen different props, including poi, hula hoops, staff, and fans, to create a circus-​infused show whether performed as a solo act, ambiance dancer, or with a group of collaborators.

Lumina herself has performed in several entertainment companies across the country, at corporate events, music festivals (Lightning in a Bottle, Wanderlust), restaurants, charity fundraisers, art fairs, art gallery openings, hotels, product release parties, nightclubs, and a variety of themed events and private parties. Whether if she’s using fire, glow (LED), or fabric props, Lumina is always looking for new creative ways to entertain, and learning new skills such as go-​go and aerial silk dancing.

Business Owner

Drawing on 9 years of ballet and 6 years of belly dance training, Lumina weaves these skills into her own unique style of dance while using over a dozen props from fire poi to glow hula hoop to silk veil fans. She began training in the circus arts in 2007 and has performed in a variety of shows and events from Tahoe to Miami, Detroit to Curaçao and Panama.

She has worked independently as well as a member of 4 different entertainment companies (Rise, Objects in Motion, Obsidian Entertainment, and Groovolution Entertainment), one of which she founded in Gainesville, FL. She now collaborates with several organizations and other performers in Denver and throughout Colorado, and is always learning new skills and evolving as a performance artist.
