So this is the best Hispanic market that Denver has. It is not bad, but could be better. I bought some pasties, they were not worth eating. The cake selection is alright, my jams in Albuquerque put this place to shame, Maybe it is presumptive, but I kinda expected it to have a small taqueria, and homemade salsas at the minimum to purchase. If you need dried chiles, and crema you will find them here. Again maybe this is me projecting what you come across easily in NM, but the only roasted green chile was a jar of Sadies. They said they would get the green la Favorita for me I will get back and hopefully buy some. I have fetishes for cooking pork green chile stew and red chile chicken stacked enchiladas. This is one of the few spots in town where you can get Oxhacan Queso. We had a funny tray(like it tasted like chemical), and they let us exchange it. They new pack is great and is in the tray of enchiladas in my fridge. Cheap produce selections.

Not a bad little market. Great looking produce, and pretty damn good prices on most of it. Everything looked nice a fresh. We went specifically for different types of dried peppers, and this place has a whole wall of dried peppers. They’ve got a nice bakery with ridiculously huge cookies and other random delicious looking things that I can’t identify, but that I want to eat all of. There’s a vast selection of Mexican processed foods — snacks, etc. And, they have a pretty great looking meat market. I don’t do red meat, but I can appreciate how fresh the stuff looked. And, the prices were good there, too. We’ll definitely be back!

Seriously — go to this store. The people are all friendly, the produce is super fresh and better quality AND cheaper than the Asian markets close by. I trust the meat and seafood here more than down the road as well. I got an entire pork roast for 7 bucks! I KNOW! There is no funky fish/meat smell here. If you need a piñata, Si! If you need mounds of jalapeño, double Si! The bakery is stocked and there are plenty of fresh tres leches cakes. I love this place, I feel happy here and again, the staff is great — the butcher(he wasn’t the main butcher guy — he had to go back and ask the main guy a question after I baffled him) the younger guy put up with me being a ding bat and was super nice to me, sigh. I so wish my father would have taught me Spanish, how cool would I be then? Super bad-ass cool.
