I really like bones so naturally I was super hyped to try another one of their asian noodle concepts. Idk, it was good and I really enjoyed eating it but maybe my particular combo wasn’t spicy and or saucy enough or whatever but I was not tempted to order a second lunch. I know that a meal is really good when I am contemplating ordering a second round to go. Also, I didn’t try shoving this meal down my guests throats like I usually do when I am 4 or 5 star dining.

Maybe my noodle bowl standards are lower than most of the other reviewers, but I really liked Mijo! I got a spicy udon noodle bowl with chicken and though my chopstick game could use some work so that I don’t fling as much sauce on my shirt, I thought it all tasted great. Spicy without being over the top, extremely flavorful and full of veggies. The only criticism I can think of is that the noodles were a little al dente. I personally like them like that, but everyone else might not. Definitely a solid choice at Avanti!

So much more than delicious noodle bowls, the Kung Pao wings and furikake tater tots are definitely something to write home about. One of best Avanti F&B has to offer. Solid every time!

While I liked the donburi, I thought the udon noodle bowl was terrible. I ordered spicy with stir fried vegetables. The vegetables consisted of 4 thin slices of carrot, half a dozen shriveled and overcooked green bean pieces, and some bean sprouts. The noodles were tough and seemed like they were cooked over an hour before. The tofu was bland and under-seasoned. The spicy sauce was boring and one-dimensional. I would not order a noodle bowl again.

Went to this place in Avanti, would give it no stars if I could. For some reason, I was charged $ 16 for a chicken bowl and a side of rice, which should have been $ 13 based on the pricing on their menu. Which is still ridiculous! I get way more food for $ 8 at Tokyo Joe’s! The chicken was gross, the sauce was okay. Once I found the CHICKENBONE, I was done eating. I really regret choosing to eat at this place.

Phenomenal. Ask to make it extra spicy.

They served us RAW chicken wings. Not a little raw, but chewy raw chicken bites. Never eat here.

I got the spicy sauce with udon noodles. The noodles were great but the sauce was way way too salty. I went back to told them about it. They gave me a new one and it was still very salty. It was definitely not authentic Japanese.

I got the curry rice noodle bowl with shrimp. It was very yummy, but $ 15 is a little steep if you ask me. The portion wasn’t huge either, not really enough to bring home leftovers. This restaurant does add a nice variety to the food selections at Avanti though.

I get that they are trying here. The concept of the whole place is great, but the execution of the one item I got was weak at best. I’ll have to try more, but for what I got for the price, I’d need to get another job to pay for a full meal. The flavor was timid… I don’t think they were going for authentic Japanese… We’ll see… But I doubt it. Maybe I’ll just keep checking on things as they roll across the counter. Maybe I will be inspired. I sure hope so.
