Business Owner

I have been in the industry for over 15 years. First starting my education as a Color Specialist at Antoine du Chez, attending their Advanced Academy gaining education in fine haircutting and beautiful hair coloring techniques. Then to gain further education and hone my hair cutting and styling skills I went to Planet Laboratories working under Master stylists Charlie Price and Cameron Letterman. During this time I gained insightful knowledge into the world of commercial hairstyling as well as becoming familiar with and working on many runway/​fashion shows and commercial print work.

After gaining a strong foundation in all aspects of hairstyling I continued to build my knowledge and experience over the next decade in small community based and customer serviced oriented local salons as well as through continuing professional education biannually. In 2009 I went on to build my own business and work as an individual at Sola Salons of Cherry Creek.

My family and I have been going to Miri V’s for several years now and I’m actually writing this review on the day my daughter is having her hair done. Miriam has a true talent for hair. Most anyone can get reasonably good at cutting hair over time, but not many WOW you with the results consistently. I rarely know what I want my hair to look like. When Miriam cuts my hair I really like the results and so does my wife.

If you’re seeking a knowledgeable, skilled, and talented hair stylist in Denver, look no further than Miriam. Not only did she do a fabulous job on my hair, but she explained what she was doing and why she was doing it so I could style my hair at on my own between cuts. She uses high quality products that are reasonably priced if you decide to purchase them from her. However, she does not pressure you to buy products at all, which happens a lot at other salons.
I cannot emphasize how much I love my hair after seeing Miriam. I would recommend her to anyone who thinks their hair is a hopeless mess. She’ll change your mind!

I moved to Denver about 3.5 months ago. When I got here I was in need of a haircut, badly. I went to a salon downtown and was sadly dissappointed. The stylist only trimmed my longest layer and did absolutely nothing to the rest of my hair. Well, since then, my roommate went to see Miriam. She came back very happy and her hair looked great. She finally convinced me to go to Miriam after about 3 months of me saying I needed another hair cut.
Cue in Miriam. She was awesome. She asked me to describe what I wanted while she just took at the mangled hair I had. After I was done she repeated what she understood that I wanted to make sure she had it right.
After about an hour in the chair she was done and my hair looked SOOO much better. I am in love. Now, I am the type of person that finds something that works and sticks with it, that said, I will no doubt be keeping Miri V studio as my stylist of choice as long as I am in Denver.

Miriam has been cutting and coloring my hair for about 6 years now. I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else!
I have difficult hair (curly, fine, somewhat coarse), and Miriam is the only one in this city who knows how to cut it so it lays right. I probably tried 10 different salons before stumbling onto Miriam through a referral. This is no promotional rate or discount steep enough to get me to go anywhere else! Not only is Miriam excellent at what she does, but her studio has a very relaxed vibe, and the time spent with her is often full of laughter and warmth.

I originally went to Miri years ago for an emergency color correction, and I haven’t looked back since. She’s taken me through pretty much every hairstyle and color out there, and every single time it’s been exactly what I’ve hoped for. I’ve gone to her with specific pictures and wild hand gestures, or just a shrug and a ‘maybe some bangs?’ and always end up with people stopping me to compliment my hair.
If you are like me and kind of nervous and demanding when it comes to people messing with your hair, Miri is the way to go. She’ll walk you through everything, checking in with you the whole way. She’s also really amazing at offering suggestions to fit my face shape, hair type, and even lifestyle to get the best hairstyle for me.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and the prices are a steal considering the longevity and beauty of her colors and cuts. I’ve recommended her to everyone from my mom to my husband, and I always leave her salon beaming.

I friend referred me to Miriam. I am so happy with the experience I had with her. Everything I wanted, I got! I have never been so happy with my hair until now. The color is gorgeous. I was nervous about cutting my hair a little shorter but put my trust in her and I am so pleased. I feel like a new person. I would highly recommend Miriam to anyone.

Miriam is far & away the best stylist I’ve ever had. I have thick, wavy hair that most stylists find challenging to cut well. Miriam, however, has done an incredible job on it from the very first visit (~ 5 years ago). Some of the many things I love about her: great listener, not a product pusher, takes as much time as needed to discuss cut/​color options, *fabulous* customer service, constantly adding to her skill set, years of experience, truly wants customers to call her if they are unhappy with anything no matter how small (& changes it ASAP + at no charge), etc. I could go on & on! If you are looking for a top of the line stylist in a central location, I can assure you that you will be very pleased with Miriam’s services.
