After working for an association that provided small business owners with tools to help them market their services, Allison sympathized with the independent business owner’s struggle to do what they love, pay their overhead, and tackle marketing objectives that required technical skills they didn’t have time to understand.

While Allison was able to educate small business owners on how they could make the web work for them, they were still left overwhelmed by the laundry list of tasks to execute and limited by their lack of online know-​how.

Allison founded Motif Consulting as a way to help small business owners and start-​ups organize and implement smart marketing strategies that free up their time to serve more clients, sell more products, and refine operations.
