Mr. Cool Heating & Cooling

Prompt, Professional, HONEST and fair. Showed up on time and was incredibly friendly. Fixed a few wires to our heater and had it running within 30 minutes. We will be using Mr. Cool Heating & Cooling for all of our Heater and AC needs going forward.

We just had Mr. Cool install a high efficiency furnace and evaporative cooler in our home. We received quotes from 4 HVAC companies — not only was Mr. Cool reasonably priced, he was able to do the installation weeks before anyone else could. Additionally, all other HVAC companies refused to use our crawl space access point for the furnace installation, thus requiring us to relocate the access and rip out a portion of our hardwood floor in our living room. Mr. Cool was able to use the existing crawl space access with no issues. John was great to work with — he and all of his staff were friendly, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and got the job done in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

This is the second time Mr. Cool has came to the rescue. He was able to diagnose the issue with my condo unit AC and, because he couldn’t fix it, he didn’t charge me a dime — even for driving all the way to my place. Amazing customer service!

I never write online reviews, but after my experience with this company I feel like I must. Mr. Cool replaced the circuit board in my furnace November 2014. In July 2015, the fan was running continuously, and I called the company again to take a look. He said that the circuit board needed to be replaced for about $ 500. I told him it was just replaced less than 8 months ago, and he said that it would be under warranty. When I told him that he was the one who replaced it, he then backtracked and said that actually the warranty wouldn’t apply because there was water damage to the board.
I had a new repairman come out today, and there was no water damage and the circuit board did not need to be replaced. He was able to complete the minor repair for $ 60. Also, the new repairman showed me how the Mr. Cool repairman had moved all the wires into the wrong location so that he could make it look like he «fixed» the problem when he put in a new circuit board and moved the wires back. I probably didn’t even need the circuit board replaced the first time in November. Stay away!!! These guys only want to rip you off.

A/​C went out on hottest day of the year so far. Started making horrible noises, then completely stopped blowing any air at all. Pipes to the HVAC and from the outdoor unit were both covered in ice. Someone from Mr. Cool came out to our downtown Denver home Friday. Appointment was at 4pm, he arrived at 5:40pm. Glanced at my unit, said it was missing a part. Suggested that I go to Home Depot to purchase and cut a piece of sheet metal and install it and that would fix the whole problem. Then suddenly he made the revelation that HE could have a guy come and measure the unit and cut the sheet metal. This was Friday evening. His next opening was Tuesday at 9am. He said «And since you’ll be the first appointment, you won’t have to wait this time.» I called at 10am. They said their guy (Martine) was just finishing up a job and would be right over. I called at 11am. They said Martine would give me a call directly. He did. I gave him my address when he asked for it (uh…). Still hadn’t shown up by 1pm, so I called the office again. The man on the phone said that Martine came and knocked on the door, but nobody answered and he left a note before heading up to Superior for another job. My husband was in the front room, 10 feet from the door, and never heard anything. He went outside to check for this «note», and didn’t see anything … no note, no apology bouquet of flowers, nothing. The office said they could send Martine back to my house AS SOON as he was done in Superior. I told them to forget about it, and we made an appointment with another company. All of this started Friday evening, and it is now Tuesday afternoon. Still no working air conditioner.

John from Mr. Cool provides great customer service, that is why we always use him. His dependability is a major factor of why my Management company gives him all our business. We have used him for 3 years now, and he has yet to disappoint. If a fix is not needed, he will let us know. I count on his expertise to provide good service to my clients, and I will continue.

John with Mr. Cool has provided furnace support for me twice now and I was very please with his services. He was on time (and in one instance came on an hour’s notice), was reasonably priced and was able to quickly determine what was causing my issues and fix them. I have used at least 3 other local services over the years prior to finding them and could not recommend any other than Mr. Cool.

My water heater broke down around 5am. Contacted Mr, Cool at 11am and they had a new heater install by 4pm the same day. The owner came himself and was super nice and so were his workers. This was also the cheapest place I found to get my water heart replaced. Its been over a month and no problems with anything. Thanks again Mr, Cool!!! :)

John serviced my A/​C unit today. He is professional and knowledgable. I live in a high rise downtown so I don’t have your typical house. Where other companies wouldn’t even take a look because of where I live, John identified the problem, fixed it and shook my hand. I would use him again.

Mr. Cool sent Andrew and Vincent to tune up my units. Both men were very professional and friendly. It was the end of a hot day when they arrived, but even then, they serviced the units with care and carefully explained the steps they were taking on both units.
When the job was complete they left the work area clean. The best part was the price. Mr. Cool’s prices are lower than the other top Unilocal companies I called.
I highly recommend them, and I’ll be calling them again next year.

John was great. I just bought a house and needed the AC unit inspected and cleaned since it hadn’t been used in 5 years or so. John was professional, quick, and gave me a quote that was SUBSTANTIALLY lower than everyone else by $ 800! Very nice guy/​company. He was even there for moral support when another contractor with a different company (unrelated service) was rude to me. I plan to call him again next year. Definitely recommend — he should be at the top of Angie’s List!

I wanted to get my AC and AC lines serviced and inspected since I’ve never had it looked at for the four years I’ve lived at my house. I asked for servicing quotes from several companies based on Unilocal reviews and John seemed to stick out as a nice guy with a reasonable price. When he attached is measuring equipment to my AC unit he said it needed to have some refrigerant added which seemed reasonable to me for not being serviced in a while. He checked the AC lines and recommended I replace the insulation. Other than that he said it looks like it’s in great condition and should last many years provided I continue to get it serviced.
The reason I’m taking a star away is because he was 30 minutes late. It’s really wasn’t a big deal to me, but I’m pretty critical with my Unilocal reviews. I will definitely give him a call whenever I need furnace or AC looked at in the future.

Significantly cheaper than anyone else I have dealt with and did a top notch job. I had an issue with the furnace being noisy because something got into the exhaust fan. He came right away, diagnosed the problem, got the part and had it fixed in under an hour and the furnace is working great now. Charged over $ 300 less than anyone else. They are definitely who I’m going to use to service my A/​C in the spring.

So happy we were able to have a local, honest businessman to work with when our furnace went out. We received super fast and friendly service, not to mention the fact that Mr Cool charged us $ 300.00 less than another HVAC company we got a quote from. Any time we have issues with our heating and cooling system, Mr Cool will be the first and only place we will call.

We were freezing a couple of years ago in the middle of winter. Motor went out on our heater and Mr Cool came and saved the day. Did the job at a very good price. A quarter of what we were quoted by other companies. Still working and no problems. Will use Mr Cool again in the future! THANK YOU!

Just under 2 years ago I called them because it was the dead of summer and my air conditioning unit wasn’t working at all. They replaced the condensor fan motor and fan blade. Just yesterday during record breaking heat my air conditioning quit working again. I called them to see if the work they did was under warranty and they said the warranty was only for 30 days… They also told me it’s not their fault if the part quit working… so needless to say I’m going with someone else this time. The new company told me the motor that Mr. Cool used was an after market motor and that typically the motors should last 10 – 15 years… not two… very disappointing. Don’t waste your money.

WOW! I was so pleased with my experience with this company. After spending a ton of money and having a horrible experience at another company (Best for Less… don’t go there, they are the worst!), I randomly found John with Mr. Cool online. His price was very reasonable compared to some other quotes we got, and he was so polite and knowledgeable and didn’t try to rip us off like a lot of others have tried to do. This company as our business from now on. I will definitely recommend them to friends and family.
