Nail Day

I was actually here last summer (in July of 2012)…therefore since it has been a while. My review is not going to be as harsh as was intended in the beginning. First off. I was not even planning to come here but I got a gift card for 40 dollars. When I came in the workers did not even look at me and continued to talk in their own language for about 7 minutes. When I asked for a full set (since my nails at the time were short I wanted to try out fake nails) the woman came up to me and started looking at my nails and telling something to her friends in their language and laughing hysterically … This continued for about 5 more minutes. I explained to them that that is why I want fake nails because my nails are not long enough… She did not seem to understand … Then when I got tired of them and decided to leave … Another woman came out and told me to sit in one of the chairs … I Waited for another 10 minutes … When she finally came I asked her (just To make sure. Because I looked on their website prior to coming) how much that would be to which she replied «75». I don’t even think they understood anything … Because they never spoke to me even once … They were always looking at each other and giggling and talking in their language. I told them I don’t want to do that anymore and that’s when she started screaming and flipped at her friend and when I looked back they were all rolling their eyes at me… I felt very awkward at this moment … I have never been in a situation like this. I ended up just doing my eye brows and leaving from this awful place. I don’t care about the left over $ 30 … I am never coming back here again… And I don’t suggest this place for anyone … Horrible customer service ! Avoid avoid avoid avoid!!! :) thanks.

I had a Groupon for this place, and I’m likely never going back — which makes me sad, because this is in a really convenient location in Cherry Creek North. I regularly get pedis during the summer, and manis on a much less regular basis. But I’ve never had a mani that made me bleed.
The receptionist was awesome. She helped me right away, got me situated in my pedi chair, and was really friendly. My tech, however, was not. She hardly wanted to chat with me, and I’m not one to just talk to hear myself go. So I played on my phone. The pedi itself was really good, and probably the only reason that I gave this a 2-​star rating over a 1-​star.
My mani started off fine. But when the tech got to cutting my cuticles, she pulled, rather than cut, and I bled on 4 fingers. She put anti-​bacterial stuff on them, which made my fingers burn, and instead of telling me to go rinse off the blood, she just kept putting more anti-​bacterial gel on it. While that might help her, it literally made me want to cry. Worst part was that there wasn’t even an apology — though I did get chastised for being a nail-​biter. I wanted out of there as fast as possible, so as soon as she was done, I sat under the dryer for about 2 minutes and then I beat it.
I won’t be back, even though their prices are comparable to my usual mani/​pedi place (Tootsie’s) and it’s more convenient. At least I know that the girls at Tootsie’s will apologize if they hurt me.

I had a groupon for a mani/​pedi, and I was a little disappointed. I thought I was buying the groupon for the other Nail Day in Cherry Creek North (which I have written a positive review for), and I only realized my mistake as I was on my way there.
I parked in the back lot and entered through the elevator — which was a little weird, because you come in through the back of the salon, and are not able to be greeted by the front desk (that no one was at anyway) or figure out where to go. After standing around awkwardly for a few minutes, I was finally shown to a pedicure chair.
After sitting down and having the girl start on my feet, I realized that my massage chair was broken. Not only would it not turn on, but the massage mechanism in the chair back was jutting out in the middle of the spine. I told her I was uncomfortable, but she just said «sorry» and didn’t offer to move me. Besides that, the pedicure was fine.
The manicure was okay. The girl trimmed my cuticles WAY too much and I ended up bleeding on 2 fingers — which really bothered me. All my fashion/​style magazines tell me to request them to NOT cut my cuticles, and after having this happen, I will make sure to do that.
My pedi started chipping after 10 days, and my mani after 2. I’ve definitely had worse experiences, but after having other positive ones, I don’t see a reason to come back here.

best mani/​ped I’ve ever had. Salon is very clean and décor is serene and relaxing. Staff is friendly and professional. Pedicure started with a leg mask, included good massage, hot parrafin with heated booties. the whole experiemnce was luxurious and pampering. this will be my go-​to mani ped salon. parking is free behind salon. salon is on the second floor and there is an elevator.
