I bought a Groupon for my mom to have haircut and treatment plus color or partial highlight. It was a breeze to make the appointment and they’re pretty good about telling you how long things will take. The appointment turned out good but I was not happy that in addition to the Groupon, they charged me $ 12 extra for «each additional bowl of color applied» in the end. Yes it was stated in the fine print of the voucher but the thing is, she had pretty short hair and we’d requested a trim so naturally they should’ve cut her hair first then color it. I’ll bet that wouldn’t have required additional use of color. Pretty sneaky…

I found a groupon deal for this place! 19 $ for a cut and conditioning treatment. What a great deal! That’s normally a 50 $ service! And my experience was great. Everyone was friendly, and Kim did such a great job. I will be returning!

Hands down. Best stylists you’ll find in the Denver area. I moved from California in need of a hair stylist and a good one. You’d have to spend at least $ 200+ to find a skilled hair stylist. Even then, you won’t get the results you want at such a price.
Originally, I was going to use Groupon on Namaste however, I really think it’s worth the money investing since they do such an excellent job on cutting, styling, highlight and color. The staff there are super friendly and the vibe is so nice. I’m so happy with how Kelsie modified my crazy ass layers and Courtney did a wonderful job at highlighting my hair to ash blonde. I’m really satisfied with how my hair turned out even if it was the second stage of going from a dark color to a cool toned hair color. It’s actually perfect the way it is, but I shall be coming here more often!!! The prices are reasonable on how excellent of a job they’re doing. I’d recommend this place to anyone who’s in need of some treatment on a low budget. :)

Wow. I had my first appointment here on Saturday and will 100% be back. Courtney not only gave me the best haircut of my life (seriously — at 35 years old I am saddened that it took this long to LOVE the way my hair looks) but she was also all around lovely. I have zero complaints, only a giant thank you for great service and a simply amazing haircut.

I did not love my first experience– saw Ana who is no longer there. She was timid and made me nervous when she was coloring and cutting my hair. Though she did what I had asked, the result was just not good. I spent all summer unhappy about my hair. I returned and saw Armen– he is amazing! He was confident, a good listener, and gave good advice. He did great highlights and a cut. I’m very happy with my hair and will return to see him.

I know that going in and not having one of the «professionals» do my hair already is risky business but I’ve had a student do it before and it was amazing. Unfortunately this time not so much. I think her name was ahna, but she cut it two inches shorter than I wanted her too. It too her three hours for a simple cut and highlight. I could tell she was nervous which made me nervous.
And now I can’t do anything with my hair because it is too short. Thanks a lot for making me look like a soccer mom at the age of 20.

Lena is a wonderful stylist! Attentive and personable, but won’t talk your ear off! She did a great job on my hair, but what I appreciated the most, is when she was kind enough to take my daughter when she came in soon after me. She was 10 minutes late for her appointment b/​c it was her first time coming to the salon and she had trouble finding it and then trouble finding parking. Her stylist (unfortunately did not get the name) refused to take her since she was late — even though all she wanted was a haircut! But Lena stepped up to the plate to help us out. She was great! I give Lena 5 stars, but Namaste loses one for being unhelpful with a young girl and new potential customer.

Omg!!! First time here… A little unsure being I had a Groupon. Boy was I mistaken… Adam was my stylist. He suggested a few things here and there. It all worked out fantastic !!! I have NEVER had someone take sooo much time on ME… ME!!! If u ever need ur hair done RIGHT… Please go see Adam! Thanks dude!!! Ur the best!

Just got home from my first hair appointment here and I have to say I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer! It’s been a long time since I had one salon I went to and I am so excited to have found Namaste. I went in because they were one of the few salons near me that was open on a Monday — I actually called right after they opened in the morning and got set up for an afternoon appointment. When I arrived the stylist was running a little behind which is fine, hair is an important thing to take one’s time with I believe. The woman at the front desk/​podium/​computer/​thing was very friendly and brought me a glass of water while I waited.
When he was finished with his previous appointment, my stylist (Paul) introduced himself and we got started. Right off the bat he was really wonderful at listening to my ideas but also offering some of his own suggestions to help guide me. We had great conversation through the whole process which says a LOT for me because I’m pretty awkward in conversation with someone I just met. He stopped a few times to do a «progress check» kind of thing, show me how my cut was doing, see if it was going in the direction I wanted. I never at any point felt uncomfortable telling him what I wanted, which is imperative. I can get very protective of my hair!
The appointment must have been on the long side but it felt like it flew by, it was a truly enjoyable experience. I have a cut that I’m more than happy with and I have bigger plans for my hair down the road and I am sure I will make an appointment with Paul again!

Gina Hellman is an excellent stylist. She makes the sessions fun! I’m always at ease with any new cut, highlights or color she suggests as my hair always turns out fabulous!

I love the lady Lena who does my hair. She’s great at what she does and a fun person. The place in general is a nice little salon however the people who work the desk always seem to have a stick up their butts. They have rescheduled my apt to a different stylist without asking me and the putting Lena in a bind and trying to make me move an apt I had scheduled for 6wks. In general every time I have been in I have loved my hair and the time talking with Lena… But they need a front desk staff overhaul they all suck.

The owner and manager were great and followed up with offering a free cut to make up for my last experience so I will say that they will try to make you happy with excellent customer service. (I didn’t follow up with the appointment so I don’t know if they’re able to satisfy their customers.)

I would give this place one star or zero if I didn’t like the actual atmosphere of the place.
I have been here 2 times (have tried to go MANY more than that) — and as of today, I will NEVER go back.
1. My first time was awesome, they took great care of me and did a good job– but the hair but took over 2 hours. Now– I realize that I have SUPER long hair, but this seemed excessive. I loved how my hair turned out, so I went back.
2. My second time went well (and was much shorter) — they told me I could buy a groupon to get a discount on my already scheduled service– so I did and all was well. After the service– they told me if I pre-​booked my next appointment and PAID for it ahead of time– that they would honor the same price I paid for the service through Groupon. I did this and pre-​paid.
Fast forward 3 months– I call on my way to my appointment to let them know I am running 5 minutes behind– and they tell me that I don’t have an appointment, and that there is no record of me paying… I keep getting put on hold and finally am disconnected.
I was furious– so didn’t call back right away. When I did– they still couldn’t find me… and after going rounds with the person on the phone (apparently there was no manager?) I gave up.
3. I was deeply in need of a cut again (after going somewhere else after time 2) — so I called and made and appointment, and said I would be purchasing the groupon for a cut and condition. They said this was fine and booked me an appointment. A few hours later, chaos broke out at my office, and I had to cancel.
When I called back today to make a new appointment– they told me that I can’t use a groupon because I am not a new client. I am confused for two reasons A– it doesn’t say this on the groupon voucher I printed and B– they have scheduled me as a not new client with a groupon before and have actually encouraged me to buy one to get a discount!
The person on the phone was flippant and didn’t seem to care about my concerns– so that is it for me.
I am sick of dealing with this place– they ALWAYS put you on hold (sometimes for longer than 5 minutes) — can’t seem to keep their appointments straight and are terrible with their groupon program!
I am going somewhere else and will encourage anyone I know not to go to this salon.

Patrick was awesome. I had the groupon deal, got a great cut for only 20 bucks, and then did the rebook thing for another 20. My hair was really fried, I think the deep conditioning with have a lasting effect. All and all, I was there for an hour and half, totally worth it.

Beautiful place, very clean, great welcoming staff. Went here off a groupon to cut my hair after 15 years of having locks.
Tommy (the stylist) did a great job and far surpassed my expectations. 100% recommend this place.
Only reason it’s a 4 not a 5 is the products are a bit pricey

I’m not sure what to do about the star rating. I appreciated the manager’s personal call to me to take responsibility for the error made and her offer to «make things right.» I went in for my cut and color (the original service I was trying to get) and things went fine-​ish. My stylist (Patric) let me sit longer with the color in my hair b/​c he felt I had «stubborn» hair. He’s also a great mix between chatty enough and not too chatty. He was responsive to my request to just trim b/​c I am trying to grow the hair out a bit. Great great. I should’ve been more communicative that the hair dryer was too hot for my tender head, but that’s not his fault.
What irked me was when i went to pay. If I hadn’t been paying attention, I would’ve been overcharged. Like I said below, after my first cut and color, they had offered to give me the same price for my second cut and color if I booked ahead. After they figured out that a mistake was made when I attempted to get my second cut and color, they assured me that they would honor the quote. When I went to pay this trip, I was charged the regular full price until I said «um, no» and explained to the receptionist. I dunno. I guess I just wanted it to be hassle-​free. Maybe I’m expecting too much from a training salon.
Summary: If you have time, but not a lot of money, this is a great salon to get some services. Maybe just don’t expect it to be on par with a full service salon.
ETA: I bumped up one star for now. I received a phone call from the manager of the salon who apologized profusely for the scheduling error. Ok. That’s nice for her to acknowledge that a mistake was made. What impressed me more is that she admitted that SHE was the one who called to cancel appointments and flubbed the call to me. I admire people who are willing to take responsibility for their mistakes. She also offered me an additional service for no cost if i decided to come back in. I rescheduled an appointment for the cut and color for next week. So hopefully I can edit/​delete the negative review and stand by my original review!

If tonight had been my first experience, I’d leave 0 stars. Because when you make an appointment MONTHS in advance, get a confirmation phone call the day before, and take off early from work to pamper yourself… you expect to get the service for which you made the appointment (in this case, a cut and color). When you get no service… the place deserves 0 stars.
The last time I came, I made my next appt as I checked out. I left work early to get here on time this time (see previous review). I get there 10 min early, and check in. I sit to wait for my stylist.
Receptionist comes over to apologize and say that the stylist had called in sick that morning, didn’t I get a call? (If I had gotten a call, do you think I’d be here expecting service?) Then asks if I would like to try to see another stylist or to make an appointment with original stylist for later? I asked if another stylist could accommodate. She comes back and says that no one can fit me in. Also, that they had tried to call, but thought they had the wrong number. Hmm… seemed like you had the right number yesterday when you left a message confirming my appointment, so…
Suggestions:
1) Actually call the customers when services can not be delivered. BEFORE they get to the salon. I wasn’t angry with the receptionist at first (I doubt she’s the one responsible for not calling me this morning).
2) When you realize a mistake has been made, perhaps go see if another stylist can accommodate BEFORE you go talk to the waiting customer. Then you’ll know whether you can offer alternative services instead of making said waiting customer wait even more to find out that no one can give her services today. Yes, it’s nice that you’ll honor the quoted price from last time. Umm… that’s expected, so don’t expect me to think that you’re going out of your way for me, when I’ve already gone out of my way for nothing.

Gina B ROCKS! She is the only one I trust for awesome color. I always leave with just what I wanted. She has consistently provided amazing color and cuts. You don’t get any better in Denver!!!

I initially bought a Groupon for a haircut and instantly connected with the girl who did my hair so I re-​booked and got the same deal for the haircut but added a root touch up after talking with my girl and she also suggested «mini-​highlights»
I went back today and I still loved the girl who did my hair. however I am less than impressed with the quality of work.
I felt like 4 gallons of product had been added to my hair after I left and couldn’t picture anyone wanting to run their fingers through it (as a matter of fact it reminded me of that scene in Big Top Pee Wee when he is trying to run his fingers through Winnie’s hair!) That however is not even the problem because I feel like this is a reoccurring factor when getting your hair done. The problem was. When I got home and was looking in the mirror I HAD A TON OF HAIR DYE STILL ON MY SCALP! I mean at this point we are going on like 3 – 4 hours with this in my hair. I honestly felt like she washed my hair for like 15 minutes and then spent time cutting it. how do you not notice hair dye still there? I paid a pretty penny for my roots to be touched up and a few «high lights» that are non-​existent. The last thing you want to do after going to get your hair done and then blown out is get home and have to take a shower and re-​wash your hair to get all the dye out… I would also like to point out the «botanical treatment’ was an add on in the Groupon but hardly something I would expect to spend $ 50 on. I rebooked when I was leaving but I am cancelling the appointment in the morning and will be looking for another hair dresser. I am not going to pay over $ 100 to have to come home and wash dye out of my hair.

The person that did my hair, apparently barely knew on how to do highlights without burning my hair and scalp.
No supervisor on site, surprised that AVEDA let them use their name without proper training and supervision.
My hair now its burned in the ends and looks with a bad test bleached with all different colors in it. I am so amazed that they can get away. This also explains why the hair dresser was so worried to get my signature on a bunch of waivers.
Groupon didnt specify that you were going to a «inexperience certified» hair salon.
Also, that the hair was done by a non «Master Aveda hair dresser»
