After placing an order online and receiving an order confirmation, I became concerned when after 5 days my order was not able to be found online. The customer service via phone was not helpful so I thought I would check with the store nearest me for some clarification. The manager explained the process, however was extremely rude. She was clearly overwhelmed with what she had going on and less concerned with making her costumer feel valued and reassured. I have continued to buy from Payless for the quality of shoes for low price, but I will reconsider my future purchases for higher quality customer service.

I went in for some new shoes for work recently during one of their BOGO ½ off sales. I could only find one style that I liked and that fit me well, I guess they were out of the one style I normally purchase. The associate working asked me a couple times if I needed help, and listened when I explained what I was looking for. She talked me into the work shoes saying how comfortable they were. I chose a pair of sneakers as well and headed to the register. The associate was polite and friendly the whole time, even when the customer before me became ridiculous (arguing over the cost of barrettes and such). I sympathized with her since I work in retail too, but hell, I was thankful that she was still friendly to me. This is one of the few places I can find shoes for my wide feet, and if the associates suck in a store, it’s hard for me to justify going back!

I bought a pair of cute black sandals, which I will be wearing a lot this Summer. The manager was super helpful, no complaints there!
Maybe a bigger selection of 12’s would be awesome.
You can however, order things online and have them shipped to your nearest Payless and try them on when they arrive. If you don’t like them, you don’t have to buy them!

Wow, when the hell did Payless get so expensive? It kinda goes against the whole name of the store! I didn’t go to Payless for awhile because of the quality of their shoes but heard it though the grapevine they had some good stuff the past few seasons so I stumbled in the other day. Cute shoes? Check. Accessories half off? Double check. More expensive than I remember? Triple check!!! I would rather spend an extra $ 15 or $ 20 and go to DSW for better quality. For the quality and price I would give it two stars but store is clean and employees are helpful.
